Next? Sadly, I believe we in the on-line community are next. Their eventual target is Limbaugh. If they can’t get him directly, they’ll do an end-around.
The Sturmabteilung, abbreviated SA, (German for “Assault detachment” or “Assault section”, usually translated as “stormtroop(er)s”), functioned as a paramilitary organization of the NSDAP — the German Nazi party. It played a key role in Adolf Hitler’s rise to power in the 1930s.
i think the best ad the mccain people could use is to use some of that hotair footage – the ‘marxist’, no personal possessions crap – and show the american people who is propping up this candidate.
they need to know that the media and leftists morons are his main support group, and it should terrify us.
These people are worse than sheep. They are lemmings that will follow Obama right off the cliff. Unfortunately, the damage will not be just to them but to the entire country.
You cannot prove God does not exist. However, you can prove that a man does not. When the basis of your support for a man has no foundation in any facts all you can do is cling to your faith.
It is not irrational staying faithful to God in such an instance. But it is ludirous, even dangerous to do so for any person. Welcome to Jonestown. Kool Aid anyone?
and All Americans should feel this way, get your heads out of the sand Obamanites, he’s a loser.
These are unabashed fascist tactics. Anyone who hasn’t read Jonah Goldberg’s book, should do so now.
All of the people calling in were clueless sheep.
___1984_____
I used to think that nobody could be worse than the Clintons, but the more I learn about Obama I see how wrong I was.
This guy must NEVER be in any kind of power.
1934
It sounds like they’ll do away with the 1st Amendment through intimidation, lawsuits and smears.
Question The One, and you are done.
On Rush right now, discussing Peggy Noonan’s comparison of the open air Greek temple to Nuremburg.
B. HUSSIEN is using the simple common ignorant follwers to d the job his thugs are unable to do. If all the things we hear about B. HUSSIEN and Ayers was not true why doesn’t B. HUSSIEN not just say so? Could it be that it is true and he does not want to be caught lieing like Bill Clinton did ?
Seriously…scary stuff. Where are the lib trolls? I’m curious how they will do a 180 to defend the stifling of free speech when it doesn’t “help their kids”.
This is very sad for America. God help us all come November…
this is how the
gets things done in chicago….al capone’s kind of town, chicago is Sinatra’s mafioso kinda town….
Wow. They really do equate saying McCain has ten houses with connecting Ayers and Obama! One sin negates the other. Poor BHO is more sinned against than sinning.
There is something more profound about their miss-understanding of the Swift Boat Vets for Truth than any consertive site that I’ve read has
postedexplained to me yet. Post-Rational? It’s like a bad parody of the bad guys in an Ayn Rand novel.Another angry caller was asked what “lies” Kurtz had told in any of his reporting of Barack Obama. The thoughtful response? “Everything he said is dishonest.” I guess some of these people are the heavy hitters from Mensa.
Now at least we know how he stands on implementing the un-Fairness Doctrine.
bedje
What’s the betting that they didn’t even know who Stanley Kurtz is?
On a lighter side did anyone else think BHO did a very amusing imitation of Richard Dawson in that Schwarzenegger movie at the convention yesterday? That was on purpose wasn’t it? Please!
I don’t know if he’s worse than the Clintons; this is exactly what they did, before their friends all starting having *unfortunate accidents*.
Clinton lied; MANY died.
We know now what the E-mail addresses for the 3am text message was really for.
flmom, true, but they sure follow directions well.
I just ordered the book a few minutes ago. Looks like just the thing to give me nightmares….
It’s surprising there was no accusation of racism coming from the callers. I’m still waiting for the standard, “This level of scrutiny wouldn’t occur if Obama was a white man!!!”
Wow!
Under Obama:
No first amendment
No second amendment
…
…
…
To paraphrase Winston Churchill:
We shall defend our beliefs, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.
If Barry O is elected, I foresee a period in American History as dark and depressing as the four years under Jimmah Carter – and we must not allow that to happen again! The truth about Barack Hussein Obama must be revealed to the people of this country, and we must do the right thing and vote – vote for a person, who may not be perfect, but has the interests of this nation at heart – John Sidney McCain!
As a minimum threshold requirement, a potential Presidential candidate should not have friendly associations with terroists (or racists or be married to America haters for that matter). This candidate is an abomination.
Oh, what the hell…
The first point is that calling on supporters to influence programming by calling, writing, e-mailing, whatever is hardly a new tactic or unique to Obama — I seem to recall the Right encouraging exactly the same kind of tactics in opposition to the CBS special on Ronald Reagan a few years back. I don’t know who started this game, but our side isn’t the only one playing it. Paybacks are hell.
Second, you’re equating flooding a switchboard and sending e-mails with Gestapo tactics? That’s pathetic. Burning down a switchboard…that’s Gestapo. Dialing your cell phone…not so much. Apparently conservatives are such a sniveling group of wimps that they start quaking whenever some kid turns off their iPod long enough to dial ten digits. I’m not in favor of these tactics, by either side, but you wrote the book on them — cf http://michellemalkin.com/2008/05/23/of-donuts-and-dumb-celebrities/
that little tempest in a donut shop. I feel like Patton standing on the ridge watching Rommel’s tanks advance: “You b*******s, we read your book.”
Finally, a long time ago, a buddy of mine was working on a bus trip that Clinton Administration allies had organized in favor of his health care plan. Rush Limbaugh publicized the route, so that screaming, hateful mobs disrupted events at almost every stop. On one occasion, the locals physically attacked the bus riders as they got off. The local police had to intervene — by arresting the peaceful riders. My friend, who stands about 6′8″ and has flaming red hair kind of stands out and so he got to spend the night in the pokey, for trying to organize a legal health care rally.
That’s brownshirt stuff. That’s the way the right wing works. Try not to get too frightened over a few phone calls.
I believe you sorely underestimate the seriousness of the situation.
After reading this, I feel even more strongly that we cannot punish the country by not voting/voting 3rd party.
We can take back the GOP over the next 4 years, but if BHO gets elected … hell, he may import China’s Olympic organizers to give him a hand with the free speech squelching
Congratulations, that’s the BS response I was expecting.
What flavor is the Kool-aid in your little corner of the Obamaverse?
its called projection, seek professional help.
This is the most important of Mr. Benson’s observations from that radio show. The rest of the Obama-loving press better get used to the fact that if any of THEM finds anything incriminating about BHO, they’d better brace themselves!
Your wish is my command.
You may continue quaking in your boots now.
In evaluating the flood of phonecalls and e-mails to WGN (and their braindead lack of content), I see another fine example of the projection of the Obama campaign. Their use of the term “a distraction” for any Republican criticism of the One, can clearly be seen in their own use of distraction to get their mindless buffoon followers to jump on any bandwagon to defend the Obamessiah.
It’s kind of like how all of the Islamofacists use the plight of the Palestinians to keep all of their arab brothers fired up against the Jooos. There is an almost religious quality to it.
This is excellent in a way. The Dems are now committed to Ohblahblah/Zeus, and I have a feeling Rush might be on this case soon. Chernobyl’s going to look like Saturday in the park compared to the coming meltdown. Let the Messiah’s China Syndrome begin!
something like this maybe…

You like Patton. That’s rich.
Dan708, just ask abc news division. If a security guard can’t arrest you, then you will be detained until the real police get there.
I wonder if he’ll hire only illegal aliens to staff the thought police?
Wait a few months…
Better question. Where are the third party fans who think their principles are more important than protecting our rights?
They can fill a thread when McCain does something stupid, but when proof of the potential totalitarian future is in front of them, they disappear.
Leave the schmucky ‘I Dream of Jeannie’ persona for the marijuana legalization rallies. I’m sure you’d look great in a pink veil shaking your hips.
We gotta stop these psycho euro trash scumbags from entering the country-
You know, Patton was written by known Hollywood LIberal and Pelosi campaign contributor (and now, mostly gently aging winemaker) Francis Ford Coppola.
Science says you have to prove God does.
The hits keep coming. Your fellow Che logo shirt-wearers must be proud of you and your sharp logic.
Bravo Zulu.
Yup
Bemused
The trouble is, they couldn’t refute Kurtz. If they had said “You are wrong” and backed it up with something other than “We don’t like what you’re saying” then fine. Show that Kurtz is wrong and it’ll be over. As for the Reagan piece, there was more than enough evidence to show that it was not being truthful and accurate about him.
I have no problem with people calling to complain. Heck, I remember doing that when the Senate tried to pass amnesty for illegals. My problems is, again, they called just because they didn’t like what was being said. Not because they wanted to refute the evidence.
The liberal media does not need to use threatening tactics. All they need to do is to ask Katie, Brian and Charlie to do their work for them. All of the big 3 are almost intoxicated with excitement at Barack’s acceptance speech. All three have started the silly “45th anniversary of Dr. King’s I have a dream speech”. All of them are starting the cliche that Obama is the successor to Dr. King, that to not vote for Obama is to deny Dr. King’s legacy. Chris Matthews should get an extra shot of whiskey to calm his legs and beyond when The One speaks tonight. We all know that his speech will be cliche ridden and filled with pithy sayings. Obama will say that “he respects John McCain’s service” (which he does not, never did, never will) and then go on to slur McCain big time. And the media will report of how respectful Obama was to McCain, despite McCain McCarthyite tactics. It is all so predictable, even the refusal of the three networks to ask Biden about his plaigirism history starting at Syracuse University.
Science also said Piltdown Man was real. Just because “science” says something, doesn’t make it right.
Obama’s thin resume has caused this scrutiny into his background. He has still to come up with anything more specific than ‘Hope and Change’, add to that his less than spectacular Senate career and all you’re left with is smoke and mirrors. It’s no wonder that people want to dig into his past, it’s all we have to go on.
As an aside, I’m wondering if it would be easier to look in his past to find someone who isn’ta left-wing America-hating radical.
Since that impresses you, review what he said about the liberal press in the film.
I was just thinking what would happen if a republican, even a maverick republican, had these kinds of skeletons in their closet; how would this information blocking and bullying be treated by the media? Someone has no doubt already brought this issue up at some point in time, but I was thinking it, so I wrote it.
Is this Larry Craig? Are you asking for a picture?
Actually, not so much.
Too late — they let me through last week, on my way back from Montreal. Guess what — getting my tires up to pressure really did seem to save a MPG.
Oh, and before that, I was born in in Oklahoma, so I guess I can’t really be Eurotrash. And, while I do own cool glasses, I have a horror of techno music that keeps my e-t instincts in line.
So, employed, married, heterosexual, tax-paying, Catholic School-parenting citizens who write checks to charities and volunteer at achool are now scumbags because they disagree with you?
How very tolerant.

Time for me to re-read…..
BO’s campaign strategists are sophmoric 14 year olds, right? It’s their decision to approach each contraversy by attacking with smears rather than counter with evidence to clear their “enlightened” leader. This is the actions of someone who has something to hide.
This is the action of someone who is desperate.
You’re from Oklahhoma? Wow, didn’t know that; I like you now; you can date my sister…
Yeah, I understood your reference and see the connection. I was just pointing toward populist statist electioneering that we can refer back to.
Baaaaaaaa! Baaaaaaaaaa! Go the sheople.
Oh so very wrong. Steven Hawkings says numerous times that there are things for which no other explanation exists than the the creation of God.
Do you actually listen to yourself? A leftard talking about tolerance? My God.
Welcome to the Chicago mindset! This kind of behavior extends beyond politics to everyday life there. It is that “highschool” bully behavior of gathering up a group, filling them with one side of the story and turning them lose to do battle for the perceived offended party. Remember the TRUTH is never a factor; Winning is! These minions will do whatever they need to do to settle the score. Anyone on the receving end needs to watch their backs.
None of the examples you mention involve trying to silence criticism of a candidate before the election. That’s the point here. Airing his dirty laundry might tarnish his halo a little, so the Obamabots must not let that happen because they must see him get in office. They don’t care what they have to do, whether it’s casting votes for dead people or silencing critics, it’s the same goal. Win, by any means necessary.

Wow, Boilermaker already congratulated you for being a liberal troll, but let me now congratulate you on being the dumbest troll to ever show up at this blog. Francis Ford Coppola wrote Patton into existence. You are either trying to be very funny, or you are profoundly retarded.
John, “BemusedLib” knows that his response holds no water. It didn’t stop him from posting, however, because logic isn’t a part of the liberal thought process.
He is a troll, don’t give him too much credit.
…….“I said nothing and then they came for me”
Hollywood versions of history is all the history most libs know. That and the revisionism they themselves write. That’s why reality is so hard for them to grasp.
I was just referring to the movie from which I quoted the line. I enjoyed the irony/lesson. You should chill.
Au contraire. I do think that the WLN tactics are embraced by both sides at all times, that they suck, but that to lift them to the level Gestapo tactics (not to mention all the armed insurrection blather) is sheerest hysteria.
You left out “have the Supreme Court steal it for you.” There have been, by the way, no documented cases of voter fraud turning an election in many years, despite many efforts to prove them. (Yes — fire those ACORN people, but they’re just bozos trying to make a quota).
I’m pretty sure that when the McCain people tried desperately to have that NYT story about him being in bed (literally and figuratively) with Washington’s lobbying class, that was an attempt to to “silence criticism of a candidate before the election.”
And since when is enthusiasm for a candidate a bad thing. As I recall, a good portion of the Republican Party has been genuflecting in the direction of St. Ronnie for going on three decades. Talk about false idols…
My wife would object, otherwise I’d make further inquiries…Though, in the past I tried to avoid women who’s brothers were in the NRA
Correct.
I believe they (the SA) were the original “brownshirts” that one hears used as a descriptor from time to time.
So it must be ok then. If the acorn people were just trying to make quota then you would think that wouldn’t care wheather it was a D or R!
Nothing defeats a liberal more than the facts. And the last couple of generations many X’s, too many Y’s, and the coming Z’s aren’t interested in facts. These people are only interested in what they want. They are spoiled, followers, used to getting anything they want, aren’t used to being told no. They are also easily brainwashed by the lib media, academia and the like.
They don’t think… they feel. Most decisions are made emotionally, not rationally. These are the idiots that called the show.
Remember, trolls are important. Otherwise, we become a choir all sounding the same
Funny, I thought Patton was a real general before he was a screenplay.
Granite! Where have you been?
Well played.
I never said it was OK. Scattered bozos submitting false names is bad, arrest them. But it’s not at the level of orchestrating a massive turnout of illegal/imaginary voters. In the first case, there is no follow-up: no one is actually going to to show up and vote under the false names. In the second case, elections can be changed. Kind of misdemeanor vs. felony. I doubt that these guys care whether they fake-register Rs or Ds, but it probably never really occurs to them to check the R box.
So, I’m polite, I haven’t called anyone a racist and have certainly been on the end of far more personal abuse (not complaining) than I’ve dished out. Obviously, I’m here to have a “discussion,” but that’s the point, right?
Call me liberal, pinko, marxist/leninist/nobama-ist…but I don’t think I’m actually a troll.
Discuss.
Yeah — Obama’s Grandfather served with him.
Concerned Citizen-
Very, very busy.
Been reading faithtfully for months; but, just too damn busy most of the time to post.
Thanks!
All I can say is WOW… We must support Stanley Kurtz…
So did one of my great uncles–but a shell blew his tank up (so he didn’t help liberate
Auschwitz)–killing the other soldiers in the tank and sending my great uncle home with a hunk of flesh blown out from under his arm–it was so cold it froze the wound–otherwise he would have died too.At the end of the article, the author links to a really good book – Liberal Fascism. It’s excellent reading and I can’t reccomend it highly enough.
So the Supreme Court stole it, eh? Nice grasp of the facts. The funny thing is that you just got done saying you didn’t think you were a troll. You might want to brush up on how elections are legally determined in the United States before you spew some more absurdities.
If you want to be taken seriously, use facts. Nutroot urban myths aren’t going to help your case here.
Perfect synopsis of the SA. However, after Hitler had rose to power, the SA proved to be an embarresment for his PR. Consequently, the top leadership of the SA was “thrown under the bus” in the Night og the Long Knives.
Unfortunately, I do not forsee history repeating itself here because there is no evidence what so ever to support that Obama would ever disband his powerbase of sheeple.

Oops! Need more coffee
Lets see. I said:
So you called me a racist over a comment that had nothing to do with race (on my part).
And I apologized, the moment I realized that I had misread and conflated two posts by two different people.
I don’t say, I’ll never call someone a racist — I calls ‘em as I see ‘em, Sambo.
You apologized for the last sentence.
That’s pretty much calling me a racist when I was comparing you libtards to socialism.
“The last line,” was, I believe, the phrase I used, which was meant to include the “You apparently don’t” construct.
I realize that you’re as eager to play the victim card as any humorless lesbian, but I clear and I was sincere.
I’ve said it before: the donkeys’ “solution” to “swiftboating” is nothing more than to try to intimidate anyone who dares to question or criticize their Chosen One.
Kerry’s problem in 2004 wasn’t that he wasn’t “aggressive” enough in answering his critics: it was that he had no answer, and he knew it. Once the swifties found a way around the blockade of silence erected by the donkeys’ media arm, Kerry was doomed.
But to be a donkey is to be mentally lazy. And the lazy man’s take on Kerry’s defeat is to assume that his entire chain of command from his swift boat days were just a bunch of liars on Karl Rove’s secret payroll.
That’s how they can say to this day that the swifties’ allegations were “discredited” when in fact none of them were. Pure mental laziness, which bootstraps itself into pathological dishonesty amongst themselves and with everyone else.
Now, there’s a new “pack of liars” who are sifting through Hopenchange’s sordid past. Aha, “swiftboating” rears its ugly head again! But this time, the donkeys are ready. No, not ready to answer the questions on their merits — not only would that require too much mental energy, it’d also lead to multiple painful realizations about the God-Emperor. So take the lazy man’s alternative: Shout them down! Threaten them with legal action! Use the Justice Department to silence them!
Yeah, that’s the ticket…
But as I said on a different thread, the problem with being stupid is that a dumb idea you think is brilliant doesn’t always impress people who aren’t stupid themselves. As Stanley Kurtz is in the process of demonstrating.
Ah…the ‘last line’ means the last three lines. ok
I brought this up to refute your statement:
and btw…I find lesbians funny
I think you hit a nerve Bemused. The mock and disproportionate outrage from MM and her flock never fails to entertain. Never ending fear and paranoia over just about every possible issue.
granite, quit your sniveling. We’re all busy.
I have serious issues with the way Obama’s campaign is trying to silence this issue, rather than dealing with it head-on. . .
and I strongly believe Obama is the most potentially harmful presidential candidate in decades. . .
That said, it has indeed been getting progressively more hysterical and angry around here lately. No one really discusses anything very often anymore. It’s either back slapping, or ganging up on and slapping down anyone who disagrees. That’s not a positive thing, in my humble opinion. . .no matter which side of the argument we all come down on. In fact, it is starting to resemble the same sort of behavior that most of us in this topic are demonizing. It’s really too bad, because I’ve gotten used to reading MM’s site as one of my primary news sources.
Hopefully after the election, all the anger I sense here will subside somewhat.
As of today, No one needs to show up to vote at all. One only has to request an Absentee ballot. How many absentee ballots are actually checked against a real live person. Many instances of voter fraud by voting absentee.
