I heard Joe was going to change his name to O’Biden and claim to be an Irish-American relative of the Kennedys.

I almost turned cartwheels when I saw who McCain nominated as his running mate. Not only was he classy enough to congratulate Obama on Thursday night, he waited until the next day to announce his pick, which as has been noted here completely upstaged Obama and crew. Not to mention that it was heartwarming to note that Friday was McCain’s birthday and the Palins’ 20th wedding anniversary…PERFECT timing all the way around. My husband and I loved hearing Governor Palin speak, and his friends (hunters) are happy about it, too. I’m ready for my McCain – Palin ‘08 bumper sticker now!!

Obama is simply showing what those of us who actually pay attention to today’s politics have known for some time now. The Democrats are the selfish and self-centered ones who want as much power and control over everyone else as they can get. They are willing to do whatever and say whatever they have to to obtain that power and control. They do not care of issues of race, sexism, etc., except as tools to obtain that power and control.
