Team Obama whines, clamors for relevance
Obama’s reaction to the Palin pick. Read between the lines:
“Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency. [HOLY] Governor Palin shares John McCain’s commitment to overturning Roe v. Wade, the agenda of Big Oil and continuing George Bush’s failed economic policies — that’s not the change we need, it’s just more of the same,” [CRAP] spokesman Bill Burton said in a statement.

Excuse me … Kettle? I have Pot on line 2 for you!
I really hope they go there on experience. Let’s have that discussion.
Did Obambi see the economic news that came out yesterday? Dolt.
It’s hard to believe they didn’t offer congratulations first. This makes them seem SEXIST.
I’d like to see Palin vs. Clinton in a few years. Happy with the pick by McCain.
lol…a few trips abroad and living in Indonesia when he was 9 makes “foreign policy experience”.
the Obama campaign needs to put the pipe down.
Do they really want to talk about experience???? PLEASE PLEASE lets go down that route…
The hurricane in the Gulf is really the air blasting out of the Obambi blimp.
McCain/Palin!!!!
Like I said in another post, that’s 9,000 more people than either Odumbo or Bidet have managed in their lifetimes!
I will bet that Team ODRAMA will somehow change path…
HairPLUGZZ (aka: Biden) will be “removed” and “replaced” with a female. hmmmm
FLIPPIZZLE Baby…
Does BO not realize that HE has NO Foreign Policy Exp. and he wants to be the Prez?
Why is he dumping on Palin when he has NO experience?
BTW – the add that McCain threw out last nite after the Speech (on Fox) congratulating him was Classy.
FINALLY. McCain managed to do something right! Choosing Governor Palin strikes a balance between his desire to catch former Hillary supporters, and his need to attend to those of us in the party’s base. I can finally envision pulling the lever for this ticket in November (and just last night I was listening earnestly to Bob Barr).
Good choice, Senator, and congratulations, Governor!
Somebody get me a shovel.
Why? Because she doesn’t have a penis? This isn’t 1984 and she isn’t Geraldine Ferraro
The more they talk about lack of experience and have the MSN make feminist remarks, the more Hillary supporters (which were more than 50% of the primary votes in the Dem Primary) will flood to the McCain campaign. Not to mention just the Libs with any intellect that see the shear hypocracy.
Obama is just upset because she has more experience than him, isn’t best friends with a terrorist, didn’t get her house from a sleazoid convicted felon, isn’t married to someone who hates America, doesn’t go to a racist church, doens’t wear pant suits, isn’t a pompous jerk like Biden and could kick his pretty little scrawny a**.
Attacking the #2 slot for lacking experience? That’s throwing pebbles at the rock of Gibralter from a glass house.
Firing up again the Obama anti-Clinton mysogeny machine, only this time, on steroids?
More disasterous mistakes by the keystone cops running the Obama campaign.
Riiiggghhhtttt — Biden is so much better. Sucks to be you Obamamama
The left is scrambling like the rats they are when the light comes on!
obamas real clear politics average lead has dropped 4/10 of 1% already this morning.
this is a geat pick by McCain. BTW- did anyone notice that in Obama’s America everyone is an unemployed waitress whose sick mother had to move in and who has to choose b/t paying the mortgage and paying for heat. And everywhere he looks there is another factory closing down. I dind’t even realize there were that many factories still in America that could still be closed down.
I was for Mitt!, but I love this choice. Now let the mud fly. Inexperienced? She’s a hell of a lot more experienced than Obama, in every way, except as a community organizer and editor of Harvard Law Review.
McCain pics a VP who has principled character and Obama hangs out with unprincipled characters.
All of this was timed very well…expect a very flat bounce for Obama, if any.
Odopey had his chance to pick hilldebeast….
we picked a winner and the Odopey camp has a bad case of this….
Sour Grapes
Take that
Rusty and lgm
Betcha Bubba has called her….
Hillary went down this trite road in her speech as well. The only thing that came to mind is the scene in South Park where Gore was giving an eulogy for the boys after they’re believed to have been killed in the quest for ManBearPig. “We’ll always remember boy #1 for his creativity…”
So boilerplate, so fake.
Watch Biden mysteriously “disappear”………around Halloween of course.
HAHAHA!
The best thing about this is how MAD Nancy Pelosi is going to be! No longer the most powerful woman in politics;-) This is great
This was an expert play by McCain, I must say. Bringing in the conservative base, the timing, excellent, Senator.
I just heard something about a trooper scandal but missed the jist. Anybody hear the same?
It might be….It could be….IT IS!!! Hey, Hey!! HOMERUN!!!!
Good choice I think. I will be glad to vote for her though in a way I think she is too nice to have to put up with all the c*ap the demos will throw at her.
If obama had picked hillary, this would have been over. But he picked a washington insider. I actualy feel a little excited. That is big for me.

An excellent choice as she appeals to those of us with more conservative ideals. As for lack of experience. I would rather have someone that inexperienced that worked her (Palin) way up because of the corruption she saw and wanted to fix in her own community rather than someone who was part of it (Obama).
I especially like the idea that she seems to be a strong supporter of the second amendment and a shining example of a pro-lifer, having made that choice herself, it seems.
She may even appeal to leaners from the liberal side with the unions as well since her husband is a union person. This will make it a very interesting race here on out.
YOO HOO! She said of the bridge to nowhere, in rejecting federal funds:
“If we need a bridge, we’ll build it ourselves!!!”
Negotiating a nat gas pipeline through Canada counts for “zero foreign policy experience”? Oh, that’s right, Obama thinks Canada is among the 57 states… So nope, no foreign policy experience.
At least of “inexperience” is at the bottom of the ticket!
Anyone know where I can get a McCain/Palin bumper sticker? I’m ecstatic!
I’m leaning strongly towards Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin, but this Palin pick was a good look for McCain. I wish there was no 11th amendment and I could vote for Palin- I just can’t stand Juan McAmnesty, no matter how great his VP is.
A tune for the hapless loser Dems:

Odumbo’s camp is probably wanting to trade in plugs right about now…

Why not just vote for B.O.? The result is the same.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how she deals with personal attacks. Is she going to get all hurt, like Obama, or keep her head and say it’s their problem, it’s not her problem.
Uh, that would be check. Your move, Barack.
This is code for the Obamanation whines, clamors for reverence.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how she deals with personal attacks. Is she going to get all hurt, like Obama, or keep her head and say it’s their problem, it’s not her problem.
mm.com is having intermitant outages
I am so pumped. Finally, McCain has done something conservatives can be really, really proud of.
What a classy statement from team Obama – not!
This was a political masterstroke. It doesn’t matter to me so much about a woman being on the ticket – I mean it’s great and she’s great, and it energizes the party, but I would have happily voted for McCain/Romney or McCain/Pawlenty to keep Odangerous out of office.
This pick has just started to give the Dems fits – if the lame attacks on Palin’s small town roots and lack of experience are any indication – ahem… – and that suggests to me that this was a left-field event that no one on the dark side saw coming. You could say that McCain is already shaking things up – or in other words, actually doing the “hope” and “change” thing.
This was a truly great strategy – give Obama his moment, then make sure it’s only a moment, turn the race upside down, and get a strong candidate in the process. Masterstroke.
People are so quick to dismiss Obama’s experience. If you pay attention, you’ll see that he’s currently gaining tremendous experience in getting his clock cleaned. It’s experience that would serve him well if he had to, as President, face Putin or Ahmadenijad, who would take cleaning his clock to new levels. With 67 days left, anything can happen, but today I’m considerably more assured that Obama will go back to the Senate, and the US won’t suffer the humiliation of having a world-wide laughingstock for a President.
The Obama camp clamors “Hopey Changey” Obama has ZERO experience, ANY pick would have been bad in thier books, if McCain picked someone like Bidet 30 years in D.C they would have countered with Same old Washington, instead THEY picked same OLD Washington (No Change there) flippin Hypocrites, how can you have ANY change w/o something new?
What an excellent pick…as Bubba said… “He hit it outa the park”
little did OLD BUBBA know he was speaking of McCain not Odopey.
I think that good news got trumped by today’s bad news.
Today, John McCain put the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency.
As opposed to putting a man with zero foreign policy experience (or any practical experience) in the actual presidency itself. I’m not sure the Second Coming of Christ wants to go there.
Yeah. Bring it on!
Brilliant statement out of the Obama camp. Deride the accomplishments of a very capable woman while highlighting the experience issue (and BO’s lack thereof).
And while we’re on the topic of national security and foreign policy experience, how much did Bush 43 have? How about Bill Clinton? Ronald Reagan?
And just what is that experience worth? Biden? Give me a break. His foreign policy and national security experience is the type we can do without:
-Biden’s idea of a 9/11 response was giving Iran $200 million with no strings attached as a sign there were no hard feelings;
-Biden was against the surge in Iraq, and his vast experience led him to conclude that Iraq would be best handled by dividing the country up into 3 separate parts;
-Biden wants to allow Iran to have nuclear weapons, to satisfy their “emotional needs”.
Looks like the Obama team has just walked into a well placed ambush.
Quite your crying, shake it off and for God’s sake, MAN UP!
I believe I’m in love! It will be strong conservative women who save the republican party (and America) from the liberals.
Yeah, baby. That’s right.
Of course, for Obama and most of his supporters – her adorable son shouldn’t have been born. He’s not perfect, like the Anointed One, after all.
All the clamoring and spinning and teeth-gnashing tells me one thing: McCain hit a grand-slam with this pick.
Liberals know it.
And they’re scared sh*tless.
Son in Iraq, union husband, baby with downs, fought Republican corruption in her own state, father was a teacher, she is celebrating her 20yr wedding anniversary today, she hunts & fishes, she delclined the bridge to knowhere for Alaska, has appointed dems! That is what I call a real American and a real CHANGE! So long Obama
By the way – anyone who lives in a small town of 9,000 or less should call the Obama campaign and thank them for insulting you and your leaders…
McCain sets a brilliant trap, and Obamedia walks right into it. By criticizing Palin’s lack of experience, they are only highlighting Obama’s principal weakness.
McCain is betting (and I agree) that most independently-minded voters will recognize, when it comes to foreign policy experience, the distinction between a presidential candidate and a vice-presidential candidate (no matter how many times the pundits exclaim “she’s only a heartbeat away from the presidency.”)
Obama is TOAST.
Sarah Palin Republican VP candidate, is everything Hillary wishes she was except Socialist. She also has more executive experience than Hussein Obama.
I can’t wait for the VP debate(s). Wanna bet J. Bidet talks ‘down’ to the ‘little girl’?
The Demo Socialist ticket has no Veterans on the ticket. Has Bidet ever discussed his non-service? He is the proper age to be a Nam Vet.
May I recommend that the Obama campaign ditch U2 and adopt a new campaign song from AC/DC;
“Shot Down in Flames”
3down – Forgot sold the state’s private jet on ebay for a profit. Gotta love it.
The “Change” Obama wants you to believe in is Sarah Palin.
This is why this was a truly inspired choice. It put Obama in a corner and pleases the base!
This is not a woman who gets talked down to — I can’t wait. Period.
So-o-o exciting!
The “change” Barak Obama wants America to believe in is epitomized bySarah Palin.
Obama pwn3d!!!!
Isn’t that how the kids do it?
Pro gun , Pro Life, Pro Work for your living, Pro Average American. Son in the military, husband with a real job and not a lifetime of politics. In her short tenure as a governor she has done more than Obama has done in his whole life. I do not believe her international experience negates the “lack of experience for Obama” ads. She’s not running for president. She’s running for VP and her values and common sense approach already speak volumes about how she does business.
The fact that she hunts and is pro 2nd Amendment I can say that I will now happily vote that ticket as opposed to doing it with a disgruntled opinion.
WAY TO GO MCCAIN! You’re only half as stupid as I thought you were. (you’re still not that smart)
I live in California anyway, so my vote won’t really change anything. I want the Libertarian party to get matching funds, so I’m probably gonna vote for them.
Notice that they only choose to state she was mayor of her hometown of 9000. They can’t seem to get themselves to state that she is currently the Governor of the largest state in the United States with a 2006 population of 670,053 that ranks 6th in the Nation in GDP with $43,748 per capita.
When The Golden Calf ran for Senate, he had absolutely ZERO Foreign Policy experience and has done little since then to gain any other than take a ‘i Love me” tour of Europe a few weeks ago. Of course, that really had more to do with sight-seeing than anything with Foreign Policy.
Unlike The Golden Calf, whose own children stated they go WEEKS without seeing him, she takes an active role in her family and her children. She not only runs the largest state, she also has time to spend with her husband and children…something that Democrats have been claiming is not necessary for a family to do.
She has executive experience far surpassing either of the Democrat candidates, and has nothing to hide. Unlike The Golden Calf, one can hardly claim she has terrorist friends, racist mentors or race-baiting acquaintances.
McCain chose a bullet-proof running mate, and the more the Democrats flounder on TV trying to appear superior and try to downplay who and what Sarah is, the more pathetic and scared they are coming across.
Nothing says more than their first impressions and knee-jerk reactions have. They will only be able to back-peddal from here, and basically they have lost this election.
When the race was even before the DNC, and only after got that bump, it will be painfully clear to them in about three days, even BEFORE the RNC that the polls will swing wide to the Republican area and will only fall farther and faster for the Dems as even more about who Obama is, who he knows and who he calls friend becomes clearer brfore November 4th.
To paraphrase the quote the Knight in the cave holding the Holy Grail in “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” had,
“The Democrats have chosen…poorly.”
Not wanting anything to happen to JM…reminding conservatives of this will only make sure they get out and vote for JM/SP
Great Pick!!
I guess it’s the LEO coming out in me but Palin having such a large family has got to be a logistical nightmare for the Secret Service now.
I have to agree it was a masterstroke, took the wind right out of Odumba’s sails. Instead of talking about his rock concert last night, now the whole weekend will be about McCain and Palin.
Game, set, match, Mr. McCain!!!
SAMBO, For some of us thats not a negative.
I have beating the drum against McCain. From a semantic standpoint, I still refuse to vote for him, but I will vote to put a conservative one heartbeat away from the presidency
I will therefore recant my earlier post on another thread that only John R. Bolton as a VP would get me to vote for McCain.
I was wrong. I am excited to vote for Palin and because of that, McCain will also get my vote.
SO we are just one heartbeat away from having not only the first female President in history, but also having her be a Conservative to boot?
And this is bad because….?
Barack who?
I never thought I’d say it, but I’ll be getting a McCain sticker to put on my car. I’m of the opinion this is a huge deal, for all the reasons others have already outlined here.
I feel for her family though, it’s gonna be tough to see her savaged by all those “tolerant” lib f*#ktards that make up the Democrat party and media. She seems to be one who’ll be able to handle. I look forward to seeing her put that smug stupid arrogant prick Biden in his place in some vp debates.
Go get ‘em, Governor.
Barack who?
By far my favorite comment:
As a movement conservative, she doesn’t make the McCain Coalition any bigger (though, as is obvious, she fires up the base); her selection takes the experience issue off the table — if she’s experienced enough, he is. She can claim “reform,” but as for change — there’s no policy that she embraces that George Bush doesn’t embrace. In fact, if McCain votes with Bush 94% of the time, she picks up the last 6%: she’s a global warming skeptic, she wants to drill in ANWR and there’s no word on campaign finance reform.
A bold move: this is the moment in the football game when the quarterback lofts the ball towards the end zone. The crowd roars, and two players race towards the flag…but Carl Rove said it best: for the next few days, the world is her oyster. It’s the 62(?) days after — as the tight spiral drifts downwards towards two sets of outstretched arms (apologies for the metaphor, must have been the result of clicking between the Dems and the Skins last night) — that will show if she’s ready for the bigs.
That’s the problem I see too. It’s like Michelle M. getting abused by Alex Jones all over again. It will probably be brutal. If they don’t have nude pix or show her kissing a girl, they’ll say her husband fooled around, or she’s a b!tch, or she’s a psychopath. And that’s the warmup act.
Oh, please. After two decades of slamming Hillary for everything from lesbianism to murder, the Rs have raised women-bashing to a fine art. She’s lucky she’s with the GOP — otherwise this site would already be trashing 24/7. (”Guess she’s ambition ahead of her family…can you imagine, campaigning when she has a 5-month-old at home, guess she hates kids…”)
Gimme a break.
Great pick! May have saved the country. Now dump that anti-american Hernandez.
0bama’s only administrative experience was wasting 100 million on stupid causes to NOT improve education in Chicago, along with Ayers.
I think a mayor and Govenor trump that.
Obama criticizing her lack of executive experience??? ROTFLMAO
Palin’s role as point guard on her state champion basketball team is WAY more executive experience than the (self) Anointed One has dreamed of.
Oh I predict much worse coming from those tolerant and loving Liberals.
Her new-born son has been recently diagnosed as being DS. Think about it. How horrible and gross do you think the comments are going to get from the Libs? I can guarantee that if they haven’t been commenting on it yet, they will and it will be some of the most vile swill ever seen or heard.
Hillary is a woman?
Sorry…it was there, couldn’t resist feeding the lib.
Ret Fireman:
There are already comments on the WaPo that Palin’s choice to have her DS son is “selfish”.
Sarah Palin is the closest politician alive today to Theodore Roosevelt. That gasping sound you hear is a Chicago catfish flopping on the ground.
BemusedLib, are you denying that those types of attacks will be leveled against Gov. Palin?
Also, it’s a broad stroke to suggest that all conservatives are part of the “fine art” of slamming Hillary for anything outside of her political views. Both sides of the political spectrum have more than their share of irrationals. Trying to prove that one side’s crazies are worse than the other’s is pointless, wouldn’t you say?
I am assuming you are not justifying these types of attacks on Sarah Palin based on Hillary’s history.
I haven’t looked but I’d bet there are far more pro-life sites breathing a sigh of relief at this selection.
I think it’s interesting, Palin has gotten my husband really energized AND my dyed-in-the wool Dem friend who went door knocking for Kerry.
Those two couldn’t be any more apart on the political spectrum.
Unbelievable.
Palin is the one who is inciting JFK level excitement across party and gender lines, not Snobama.
