    I don’t think Palin needs to campaign against Biden.
    I think what Palin needs to do during the debates is direct all her answers at Obama.
    Show the American people that in fewer than two years she has more experience, accomplishments, and direct foreign relations (Canada, Russia, Japan, Korea) than Obama has in his entire political career.
    Alaska trade surplus with these countries has grown substantially since she became Governor.
    Let McCain deal with Biden they can stand on the sidelines eat ice crème cones and watch the Barracuda.

    The only people in the US who really know Joe Biden are political junkies and lobbyists. The American public, but and large, only knows he’s been in the Senate for 36 years.

    The more the voting public sees of Biden, the less they will like him. He is pedestrian as far as intelligence goes, but he attempts to make up for that by long, rambling oratory. The problem with that approach is, the longer he talks, the less impressive he is. And that is even before he decides to dine on his favorite snack – shoe leather.

    And just wait until a few of his past gems get out in the mainstream:

    -his response to 9/11 was to hand Iran $200 million with no strings attached to show them there were no hard feelings;

    -His plan to partition Iraq into 3 separate countries;

    -His vote against the first Gulf War but for the second;

    -His belief that Iran needs to have nuclear weapons to satisfy their “emotional needs”;

    -His close associations with Iran via a money trail that will have him dubbed “Jihad Joe”.

    Team Obama’s biggestr risk with a Biden/Palin matchup isnot necessarily Sarah Palin – it is Joe Biden. The man will douse himself in rhetorical gasoline, light the match, and stand in front of a fan. That’s before Palin gets a shot at him.

    I believe Palin could comfortably hold her own even with the likes of Obama himself. She’ll make Joe Biden seem as large as a hunchbacked dwarf who has just been kicked in the groin.

    The most sensible thing Biden ever said was with regard to Obama during the primary season that the presidency did not lend itself to being something like “on-the-job training.” And he stood by those statements during a debate.

    Now, they’re crowing about “inexperience” with regard to the Republican presidential RUNNING MATE. The hypocrasy is mind-boggling. By the way, she’s the ONLY person on either ticket with executive experience–something you might expect from someone who is running for the CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF THE UNITED STATES!!!

    Sounds to me like she’s the ONLY one of the four WITH experience. I’m not saying that her experience has prepared her for the presidency, but its a hell of a lot better than a couple of socialist ideologues who are the alternative.

    After watching the clip of Biden, I read this Newsweek article by Jonathan Alter and found it just laughable:

    McCain’s ‘Hail Sarah’ Pass
    His choice for veep is all but set up for failure in the fall.

    Here’s a quote from Alter:

    The McCain camp will have to either let her wing it based on a few briefing memos (highly risky) or prevent her from taking questions from reporters (a confession that she’s unprepared). Either way, she’s going to belly-flop at a time when McCain can least afford it.

    This comment is even more humorous when you think about the belly-flops Obama and Biden have both made whenever they veer off script or the teleprompter’s off.

    Here’s another comment from Alter:

    Her much-repeated sound bite that ANWR is only the size of the Los Angeles airport and thus not environmentally destructive sounds good, but won’t do much to counter the argument Obama made in his acceptance speech, which is that drilling is only a “stopgap” measure for achieving energy independence.

    Obama has the better argument? Even if Obama is right and drilling is just a “stopgap” measure, what is wrong with doing a “stopgap” measure when it is clearly needed? Is it better to do nothing?

    If you are given the choice of “inflating your tires” or drilling for more oil AND inflating your tires, is it really that hard of a choice? Either Jonathan Alter is that stupid or he thinks his readers are that stupid that they will believe anything he writes.

As the political community turned desperate for any clues about the potential running mate of Republican Presidential candidate, Sen. Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the so-called ‘hockey mom’ credited with reforms of her tiny, out-of-the-way state.

    Texas is smaller than Alaska. The AP probably thinks Texas is a “tiny”, out-of-the-way state as well.

    There’s a similar comment in Newsweek. They argue that because Sarah Palin is from a state that is “thousands of miles away” from Washington, D.C, she has no knowledge of National issues. They could be right since it takes the Pony Express months to deliver news to Alaska. :)

    Yeah…the comment is so stupid, it shows the left is so upset they can’t think before they speak.

    …and it’s now Day Two of McCain/Palin.

    The faux pas (sorry English only) The social blunders of Biden can’t be totally covered up by the press. The possibly fictitious, famous telegram from the Hearst’s illustrator in Cuba complaining there was no war, suggest the contempt the media has always held for those less positioned in life. Hearst replied “you furnish the pictures I’ll furnish the war”. Those days are gone. It only takes 5% of the population to control the dialog. Lets be sure it is our voices.

      The Libs are going postal over Palin. Last night on CNN, Jack Cafferty started damning, belittling, trashing, and out right lying about her, with a passion that bordered on insanity. You could hear the fear in his voice, see it in his eyes. I thought for a minute… It seemed to me… no, I knew he was about to whip out a straight razor, and slash his wrists, right there in front of millions of viewers.Then Wolf Blitzer butted in and ruined everything. The insane gleam dimmed in Jacks eyes, he stated to gain some semblence of control, over his dazed, confused and frieghtened senses; then the moment passed. But boy! It was sure great while it lasted, first time I’ve smiled in nine months! Still not voting for that open borders SOB though.

    I read in a New York paper today a quote from an Alaskan pol who said that the landscape of that state is littered with the political bodies of those who crossed Sarah, both before and after she became governor. This should serve as fair warning to those who would underestimate her.
