“As the political community turned desperate for any
cluesLIES about the potential running mate of Republican Presidential candidate,…”Fixed that for ya.
I read in a New York paper today a quote from an Alaskan pol who said that the landscape of that state is littered with the political bodies of those who crossed Sarah, both before and after she became governor. This should serve as fair warning to those who would underestimate her.
I sincerely hope Palin chews up this idiot Biden and spits him out when they debate.
From what I’ve seen and heard of both of them, she can run rings around that pompous old fart with slicked back thinning hair!
The entire interview…from CNBC
AWESOME!
Is the MSM going to accurately fact check Biden’s statements and arguments this time around?
After all, Joe Biden is the guy who had to cancel his ‘88 Presidential run for plagiarizing his campaign speeches, revelation that he plagiarized law school papers and flunked a course, as well as lying about his academic credentials on the campaign trail.
Now we learn that Biden came from an unusually non-blue collar family, sans his father turning the Biden family fortune into the proverbial shoe string when little Joe was 10 years old.
Fool me once…
I was just watching Ellis Hennigan (sp) on FOX and he was laughing and trying to act like the whole thing was insanely funny, and all he succeeded in doing was get red in the face and look crazy. I’m concerned about Bob Beckel. He is a stroke waiting to happen. I think he needs to take a vacation and calm down before it’s too late.
Ok, the rambling of Joe Biden could be from drinking, has anybody checked to see if this has been a problem with him in the past? If so, maybe he is just a
babbling idiot(my bad)(insert your own discription here)when he has had a few too many. It was very evident that it was NOT with a teleprompter. I am looking forward to hearing more from him with Gov. Palin. My bet is on her. She is classy and calm and I don’t think Biden’s bullying will have much effect on her. For some reason I just thought about the first grade “readers” we used with Dick and Jane. Hmmm, maybe we could utilize that theme with Joe and O? All the short and too the point sentences. Maybe that is all we need to describe their escapades??? Such simple comments for 2 simple people. Everyone enjoy Labor Day weekend. Why can’t I get the video to play any more? Has it been sabotoged?
But..but Biden had a mother and father and has children and rides a (heavily subsidized) train and..and got in fist fights as a boy. Cruel, cruel Conservatives. I mean just because he is a liar and a smuck how can we be so cruel?
Statements such as “Biden’s ego is bigger than the state he represents”
hateful, hateful conservatives, telling the truth about a Liberal.
I’ll just have to go over to the Huff&PuffPost for the love.
3/64 of an inch.
But the man does have a whipped puppy look about him. Governor Palin stealing his show? MamaBama lockbox him? Bill Clinton took an earlier train? What is going on?
Back off.
Fun election–finally.

Just another bitter American clinging to my God and guns (gas guzzling, global warming pick-up truck too!)
Oh lord, they drilled all the way through his brain?
Could Sarah Palin be America’s Margret Thatcher?
Hahahahhahahahahahhaa.. Palin is going to mop the floor with this joker.
As for debates, Palin should not be underestimated w/re to her public speaking skills, likely honed back in the days as a sportscaster…Biden has honed his skills windbagging in the Senate, doubtless during endless soliloquies, while his colleagues busied themselves with more important business such as clipping their toenails.
Wasn’t he sued by his pornstar ex-girlfriend? I’m sure the conversation was enlightening and thoughtful…
“Biden buffoonery.”
Repetitively redundant.
BTW…was he drunk or somethin’?
I apologize for this off topic remark, and perhaps it has been covered on another thread. But, has anyone seen hide nor hair of Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton during this past very historic week? You would have thought they would be a big part of the celebration for the first black (or half-black) candidate for U.S. President. Aren’t they the official spokesmen for the black community? At least they used to be. Where are they? Perhaps they are angry because black victimhood is going away.
No, because “Black Victim-hood” will only have a chance of going away if McCain/Palin wins. Unless, of course, Al & Jesse already think the big O has lost!
I’m finally excited about voting this time! Conservatives actually have a chance to win. At the same time, the libs will expose their hate, racism, sexism and bias to such a degree that the blind may actually see (figuratively speaking of course).
The reason could be because of Jesse’s remarks about cutting off Obama’s
%&*(s. That would tend to annoy Barack just a bit. Interesting that they are left out of such a big night when a black is nominated for the highest position of power in the world! Oh my gosh, just typing that last sentence sent a chill of fear through me! Joe Biden, keep drinking!
Okay, Biden was bad but he wasn’t THAT bad. But, we all knew he wasn’t that good to start with. No point picking on little things.
It will be more fun to watch him get his head handed to him in a real debate.
I can’t wait.
Sarah will gut bidet like a moose in the first face-face meeting.
A little more off topic:
For the last hour and a half we had a Coffee For the Candidates and I heard something GR__RR_ATE about Chicago.
A man here father was from Chicago, born and bred. He went into the Army in 1942, discharged in 1946 and moved to Arizona in 1947. So this man voted in Arizona from 1948 until he passed away in 1996.That is 49 years away from Chicago.
Doing research on his family he found his father’s name was voting in Chicago all that time and still was in 2002 as was his grandfather who died in 1952. Tough people in Chicago, you can’t keep them down even after you bury them I guess.
To Lindsay & brooklyn red re: Rush – I was watching him on the Dittocam (and had Fox on the TV at the same time), and I too was struck by how excited he was (and very impatient for McCain to finish so he could hear Sarah speak – though I thought McCain actually gave a pretty good speech for once).
I heard the same kind of excitement shortly before with Laura Ingraham – Laura365 member here
– when she heard (via Fox IIRC) that Sarah Palin was confirmed as McCain’s VP pick.
As for Jonathan Alter’s patronizing and dismissive piece, one comment really got to me, on more than one level:
Number one, isn’t this the classic “sexist” objection, that a woman can’t hold the Presidency (or Vice-Presidency) and be a mother? Besides, it looks like Sarah has a very good support network, beginning with her husband – the “First Dude” as she calls him.
And what’s with Alter referring to Trig as a “disabled” infant? When speaking of the several Downs syndrome children and adults of my acquaintance, the last adjective I would ascribe to any of them is “disabled.” Handicapped, maybe, but not disabled.
Anyone want to take bets on the Kennedy/Shriver clan objecting to this characterizations of Downs children (especially given their patronage of the Special Olympics)?
To Family Man – I like your idea of toasting every time Palin scores a point during the VP debate – we all should be very happy, very quickly.
Here’s an interview of Sarah Palin at Time magazine.
*hat tip to LGF
I suspect Jesse Jacknife and Al “this ain’t my suit” Sharpton were convinced to quietly keep a low profile so Oblabla could continue to try appeal to Mr. Whitey. As Rush said, that appears to be one of the reasons he chose Biden.
I don’t believe the left has any sensibilities towards people with Downs, disabled or handicapped, unless they can be used as political props.
I believe it was the 2000 election when a state democrat party (southeast somewhere) put out a flier saying, “Voting Republican is like being in the Special Olympics, even when you win, you lose”. It had a picture of a child running a race. I forwarded the link to the news article which included the flier to a co-worker whose daughter has Downs. He was rather hot.
As for the “First Dude”, I see several news articles saying he’s a snowmobile racer…as if they are referencing some country hick with a pickup and gun rack.
Hell it just makes me hope to see snowmobile races on the White House lawn.
And just who are these “many voter” of which Jonathan Alter runs his mouth? Jonathan Alter needs what some us call a beating; a severe, dedicated and violent beating. Jonathan Alter and Sissy Boy John Edwards both need a beating.
These Democrats sure like to run their mouths about other people’s family and scream like stuck pigs if anyone calls mamaObama on her mouth.
They are easy to hate.
Wow…you can actually see The Golden calf choke on every word he sputtered his way through as if he couldn’t believe he actually had to compliment (if that’s what that was) her. Personally, I find everything he said to be incredibly condescending, as if he were attempting to praise a child he hated.
Oh if only women everywhere would actually start listening and watching him as he talks about her. I have to have faith that they will eventually see past his glitz into what is obviously a very sexist person trying to look otherwise.
Then again, I doubt his father was much for teaching respect towards women, what with the Koran teaching otherwise.
So there was an ad that came on the screen before the main video started and then the same ad stayed up next to the video the whole time. What was that ad?
Why, BP of course.
Gee…what is it that CNBC is trying to say? Subtlety is obviously NOT their strong point. Someone should remind them that her husband no longer works there. then again, Cheney left his companies, but that never stopped them. Get ready for at least 4-8 more years of whining about “Big Oil”
What does the ANWR drilling site ACTUALLY look like? Hmmm…not exactly the “Winter Wonderland” covered with Caribou and other happy little woodland creatures that the Libs are selling it to people as.
If the left tries to argue that her experience is too shallow for a VP pick; I would counter with supporting Palin, even as President, over Obama any day.
What I’ve learned so far about her Substance, outweighs Obama’s anyday.
GO Barracuda!
This video is evidence of what a lot of us said predicting the Biden veep positioning. The Snobama campaign wants badly to appeal to the “bitter clingers” that they picture being the blue collar workers being, so they offer a guy trying to appeal to them by being like them. It’s extremely cynical.
Biden’s so far removed from working class anything that he can’t possibly relate.
But if they keep playing it out, this could be very entertaining. He sounds like he’s drunk, because that’s how bitter clingers sound! What a goofball.
I sure hope that the messiah’s campaign doesn’t think all bitter clingers abuse their wives in public.
Can not wait for the DEBATE with PALIN/BIDEN… Poor PALIN will be in a battle of WITS with an unarmed opponent… Should be very interesting, to say the least…
Man!..oh Man! At 70 yrs of age, I have seen some some exciting conventions from each major party…But NEVER have I been so absolutely thrilled with BOTH of the VP choices…Biden…Perfect..or better yet, PRICELESS!!…the democrat court jester for most of my adult, political, attention paying, life…YES!!!….and in the other corner, Palin….no need for another syllable…
I wonder when anybody in the MSM will ask Biden the following questions: In your famous speech in 1987, you referred to ancestors who worked 16 hours a day as coalminers and then came up and played 8 hours of football. Please tell us the names of the Bidens who worked as coalminers?
Questions 2: You said on C-Span that you finished in the top half of your law school class. How does that square with the Syracuse record that shows you finished 75 out of 86, or bottom ten percent of your class. Were you lying when you said you graduated in the top half of your class?
