Classy leftists scrambling to find pictures of Sarah Palin in a bikini, which will prove…something scandalous
Ace of Spades has been using a great investigative tool for any blogger–Sitemeter. What brings visitors to your site? Right now it’s people searching for pictures of Sarah Palin in a bathing suit. Not just pathetic horndogs, that is…these are liberals who think that finding such shocking evidence of sinful depravity will galvanize social conservatives against her.
Thing is, it’s happened before–to Michelle. Those of you who have followed this site for a while might remember when Gawker came up with some inept photoshops of Michelle in a bikini and ran them, to cheers from Michelle’s critics who believed this proved she was a big stinkin’ hypocrite.
Why? Even if the picture weren’t a fake cobbled together from a private picture of a college student that someone ripped off the web, would that have proven hypocrisy? SHOCKER: CONSERVATIVE COLUMNIST DOES NOT SWIM IN A BURQINI.
Well, they thought–they hoped–that those fake photos of Michelle would somehow undermine her credibility with conservatives.
They don’t know us very well, do they? Even religious conservatives who emphasize modesty aren’t going to be wagging their finger and snarling “SINNER!” at someone who was once in a beauty contest or got her picture taken in a swimsuit. So once again, this is about to fall flat, like Brick Tamlin’s attempt to belittle his opponents’ sartorial taste:
See, the Left keeps on buying its own propaganda. There are a lot of slick hucksters there who tell them what they want to hear about how conservatives think and make decisions. Thomas Frank comes to mind, as does perennial tool George Lakoff.
Hey, it’s necessary to keep the liberal Strike Force! stoked at a fever pitch of seething hatred. That’s where the activism and the money and the silencing of opponents comes from. But then the problem is that they actually believe that this is how conservatives think and feel, and they make strategic mistakes because of it.
And then everybody laughs at them.

The population is basically the same, but Palin has to GOVERN a huge area with a very dispersed and diverse population in one of the most important states in the nation economically.
Poor Biden only REPRESENTS this pitifully small area. And he has to have another Senator to help him. The president GOVERNS; he doesn’t represent. Therefore, Palin is far more qualified.

Now, I don’t want to get involved, and Lord knows I don’t want to appear to be taking sides, but in all fairness TG…the nose art on the bombers was done over 60 years ago in another time, place and mentality.

My son lived in London for three years and had to come home to have his teeth cleaned. He couldn’t get it done any sooner over there.

Thank you for your work in helping victims of Hurricane Katrina. In early September of that year, I along with recording artist Norah Jones & her bass player Lee Alexander personally made sure that there was over $17,000 dollars of relief supplies delivered DIRECTLY to victims of Katrina who were streaming out of the city in the wake of the devastation. Lee & Norah are democrats, & I am a staunch Conservative, but that day, we were just Americans who wanted to ease the suffering of our brothers & sisters in New Orleans.
Today I recieved a tip on a video that shows the former Chairman of the DNC Don Fowler,returning on a plane from the DNC, mocking Republicans, & laughing because Gustav is going to hit New Orleans at the start of the Republican convention. Dude, Alan, get this: Downs Syndrome is caused by an extra chromosome. It’s a developmental condition; not a “birth defect” caused by improper delivery or waiting too long to get to the hospital.

And I had a teacher who went back to France for her cancer treatments. The interesting thing is that in no other democracy is the idea of moving to a U.S. system seriously debated. They know their systems are better. Not that I want to adopt their systems — Mitt’s in Massachusetts would be grand.
And kudos for those whose children, ex’s etc. can get treatment: 46 million Americans can’t.
This is funny. But I take it as a complement. I admit to having worked in politics (It’s never come up; I think some of my Palin comments might even have implied it — those regarding the tactics etc.) But I am long out of the business and look at this the way a college baseball player might regard his current softball league — not that you guys throw any softballs. The better results are much-debated, I was referring to the millions left out of our system, if you’re not one of the huge chunk of uninsured, you’re probably OK, except for socialized medicine-type restrictions your HMOs impose on you. ‘Course, we’re the only developed democracy on earth where you can work full time and not be able to afford a doctor. The fact that it costs ridiculously more, however, is indisputable.

Not to be a fart at a party but Alan Colmes was married not long ago, yes, amazingly, someone married skeletor. He is no doubt thinking of having a child. Very dangerous for a man of his age. Anyway, in my experience with the world you have to be real careful what you think, it usually comes back to bite you in the arse.
Isn’t it amazing how much time they spend making up a fake history of rumors and smears against Palin, while simultaneously covering up, obfuscating or otherwise eradicating the true history of Obama, i.e. the Ayers connection, the 20 years in the racist Trinity Church etc., etc.

Does anyone else think this angle of attack betrays a very un-manly cluelessness about how proficient men are at partioning their thinking?
There is the subject of girl-watching; and then there is the subject of political policy. They are different.
No amount of beauty will make me think that a liberal is correct in her philosphy (ref: Kirstin Powers or Susan Sarandon). Similarly, if I find that a true-blue conservative like Gov Palin or Michelle Malkin can rock a bikini, then that’s simply irrelevant to her policy positions.
It’s awesome, but irrelevant.
You wouldn’t think that you have to explain these things to the left, but there you are.
Tell us all about it Anton, but start with the explanation of why women in particular see the world from their viewpoint? Do you hear about men proclaiming hey we overcame! Overcame what, you American women,you were voted everything you have, by American men. Try the middle east china or a number of other places and see how you make out.

And I had a teacher who went back to France for her cancer treatments. The interesting thing is that in no other democracy is the idea of moving to a U.S. system seriously debated. They know their systems are better. Not that I want to adopt their systems — Mitt’s in Massachusetts would be grand.
And kudos for those whose children, ex’s etc. can get treatment: 46 million Americans can’t.
That is just liberal nonsense. In 1996 I had an angiogram after having some problems. Diagnosis? Surgery required post haste. 4 days later I was admitted for a triple bypass. Try that in Canada.
6 months ago I had my yearly PSA. Turned out to be more than twice the previous year. Next day I was in for a scan. Diagnosis? Prostate cancer. The following week I began a 45 day course of high dosage radiation called IGRT (computer directed radiation) after gold markers were implanted. Try THAT in Canada, where they are still using old fashioned “bomb the body” radiation, IF you can get into a hospital soon enough.
There is no place in the world you can get the kind of treatment, inthe time frame you can get it, than the USA.
But if you want to go somewhere else … be my guest.
That is complete bunk.
Maybe, then, you can explain to the class why people from all over the world come here, or are sent here, in order to receive treatments, surgeries and what-not? Why is it that people from Canada and elsewhere come here in order to be seen in our ER’s due to the fact that it takes weeks or months before they can gain an appointment to see a physician.
If you want a peek at what it is like to have Socialized Medicine, take a look at how Kaiser operates. Takes weeks to months before you get in to see a doc, you have no choice as to who you see, getting in to see a specialist is a nightmare and more often than not, turned down, patients elxpelled from the Hospital well before they are ready to be etc.
If you love the long waits in ER’s now, or if you have no problem with long response times of ambulances, and if you want doctors that do not go the extra distance in gaining experience in knowledge and expertise because they no longer can make extra money for their effort, then by al means, go for that Socialized Medicine.
I have a great essay on the subject, and as a medical professional, I can tell you that in this country, Socialized Medicine would be the largest mistake anyone could ever make.

Once again the lefties are believing their own propaganda. I live here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to explain my conservative and Christian beliefs to liberal coworkers and friends.
They just can’t wrap their head around the fact that I don’t care if women wear pants or vote or go to college. When they find out I’m a Republican they immediately think “biggoted homophobic mysoganist who hates immigrants, poor people and sex.” I’ve worked with people for years who have never managed to overcome their biases against me no matter how well they know the stereotype to be untrue, and I’ve worked with still more who think that I’m some kind of anomaly, that I’m not a “true” Christian, conservative or Republican because I don’t fit the mold created by the media, Hollywood and their friends.
It’s as ignorant and ill-informed as any other bigotry.
I think I can safely say that this statement is pretty much true for all of us.
