Classy leftists scrambling to find pictures of Sarah Palin in a bikini, which will prove…something scandalous

By see-dubya  •  August 30, 2008 02:02 PM

Ace of Spades has been using a great investigative tool for any blogger–Sitemeter. What brings visitors to your site? Right now it’s people searching for pictures of Sarah Palin in a bathing suit. Not just pathetic horndogs, that is…these are liberals who think that finding such shocking evidence of sinful depravity will galvanize social conservatives against her.

Thing is, it’s happened before–to Michelle. Those of you who have followed this site for a while might remember when Gawker came up with some inept photoshops of Michelle in a bikini and ran them, to cheers from Michelle’s critics who believed this proved she was a big stinkin’ hypocrite.

Why? Even if the picture weren’t a fake cobbled together from a private picture of a college student that someone ripped off the web, would that have proven hypocrisy? SHOCKER: CONSERVATIVE COLUMNIST DOES NOT SWIM IN A BURQINI.

Well, they thought–they hoped–that those fake photos of Michelle would somehow undermine her credibility with conservatives.

They don’t know us very well, do they? Even religious conservatives who emphasize modesty aren’t going to be wagging their finger and snarling “SINNER!” at someone who was once in a beauty contest or got her picture taken in a swimsuit. So once again, this is about to fall flat, like Brick Tamlin’s attempt to belittle his opponents’ sartorial taste:

See, the Left keeps on buying its own propaganda. There are a lot of slick hucksters there who tell them what they want to hear about how conservatives think and make decisions. Thomas Frank comes to mind, as does perennial tool George Lakoff.

Hey, it’s necessary to keep the liberal Strike Force! stoked at a fever pitch of seething hatred. That’s where the activism and the money and the silencing of opponents comes from. But then the problem is that they actually believe that this is how conservatives think and feel, and they make strategic mistakes because of it.

And then everybody laughs at them.

UPDATE:
Trollop“, eh? Somebody’s been reading the Dungeon Master’s Guide.

Thanks to commenter RetFireman.

    Again, let’s compare Biden’s “experience”:

The population is basically the same, but Palin has to GOVERN a huge area with a very dispersed and diverse population in one of the most important states in the nation economically.

Poor Biden only REPRESENTS this pitifully small area. And he has to have another Senator to help him. The president GOVERNS; he doesn’t represent. Therefore, Palin is far more qualified.

I challenge any lib to prove that Biden is more “experienced” than Palin.

Interesting link purplepeep. I read some of the comments as well and I think they are definitely imploding. I do give Melissa credit for sticking to her feminism roots. I haven’t hear anything from NOW, but we probably won’t since Palin is pro life.

Yes, it’s highly laudable to stand by one’s priciples when the stand entails defending someone you totally disagree with from wrong attacks. That takes some guts, since you just know so many on “her side” will give her grief for doing so.

First of all, I don’t think anyone here is claiming that questioning Palin’s experience is sexist. If you check out some of the left’s blogs(some comments have been posted here) their comments are crude, pathetic and sexist and that’s what they are responding to.

I never denied that there are jerks on my sie. But the speed with which several posters here locked into the Hillary/feminist = cankles/Bigfoot suggests that you’re living in a glass house.

Not to mention the fact that many in the MSM are almost dismissing her because she’s a woman, claiming McCain only chose her for that reason alone.

Only half true — she also fires up the base. But I think it’s a pretty safe bet that she wouldn’t be Veep candidate if she wasn’t a woman. Just as Biden wouldn’t be Veep candidate if he wasn’t Chairman of the Foreign Relations committee. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that McCain has staked his campaign on energizing a previously demoralized base and stealing away the PUMAs.

Second, I’m kind of tired of you implying some/all/most of us are racists. It seems to come up in many of your posts and it’s getting a little old.

Now you know how I feel when you dismiss negative comments about Palin as sexist. Which was the point I was making.

Get real. Have you ever been to Alaska? You sound very panicky about the choice of Palin. “Executive experience” is what we want for our president (and vice-president) and Sarah Palin has it.

You also need to review your geography. Alaska BORDERS Russia:

    Alaska – Russian Facts

Alaska and Russia share a border. The U.S.-Russian maritime boundary zigzags down the Bering Strait between the Asian and American land masses.

Alaska and Russia are less than 3 miles apart at their closest point in the Bering Strait where two islands, Russia’s Big Diomede Island and Alaska’s Little Diomede Island, are located. In winter it is possible to walk across the frozen Bering Strait border between these two islands. At its closest, the American mainland and the Russian mainland are 55 miles apart where Alaska’s Seward Peninsula and Russia’s Chukotka Peninsula reach out to each other.

Cities and towns in Alaska and the RFE are closer to each other than they are to their own national capitals.

How could Obama have voted less like Hugo Chavez would have had Chavez been a junior Senator? Answer: He couldn’t. Barack Hussein Obama has a 100% socialist voting record. Plus, he wants a citizen “security force” with the budget of the entire military. Obama is a Stalinist.

My son lived in London for three years and had to come home to have his teeth cleaned. He couldn’t get it done any sooner over there.

It reminds me of joke told to me by someone from the worker’s paradise of East Germany, whom I got to meet after the wall came down.

This fellow scrimped and saved all that he could so that he could buy a Trebbie (that was an East German car, real name Trabant, that had a sewing machine for engine…. it had so little power that you didn’t need a clutch… if you pushed hard enough it would slide into gear) and he finally saved enough.

He went down the office for Trabant and paid, in full, to get on the waiting list. He asked the clerk “When will my car be ready?” The clerk responded “Ten years from today.” He thought for a moment then asked the clerk “Will that be in the morning or the afternoon?”

This annoyed the clerk who said “What do you care? It will be 10 years! The buyer responded “Well, that’s because the plumber is coming in the morning.”

I don’t expect necessarily that they will respond, but If they don’t, I will have given them fair notice, & asked them to join me in condemning the effective mocking of Hurricane victims by former DNC chairman Don Fowler.

    Dear Acorn Representatives,

Thank you for your work in helping victims of Hurricane Katrina. In early September of that year, I along with recording artist Norah Jones & her bass player Lee Alexander personally made sure that there was over $17,000 dollars of relief supplies delivered DIRECTLY to victims of Katrina who were streaming out of the city in the wake of the devastation. Lee & Norah are democrats, & I am a staunch Conservative, but that day, we were just Americans who wanted to ease the suffering of our brothers & sisters in New Orleans.

Today I recieved a tip on a video that shows the former Chairman of the DNC Don Fowler, returning on a plane from the DNC, mocking Republicans, & laughing because Gustav is going to hit New Orleans at the start of the Republican convention. LAUGHING! Can you believe he finds that amusing? Well I couldn’t believe my eyes either, but the proof is in the video at the link below.

    http://danleereport.com/2008/08/30/former-dnc-chairman-don-fowler-hits-a-fowl-with-the-american-people-by-mocking-the-plight-of-americans-in-the-face-of-hurricane-gustav/

I’m going to be frank with you. I’ve heard accusations that your organization is “nothing but a political front for Democrats”.

Right now, I’d like to put that all aside, & ask you to Join me & others in comdemning the Mocking of people who may die come Monday, (for political points) because they either foolishly ignore the warnings, or just COULD NOT leave for whatever reason. Homelessness, or whatever it may be. When this Hurricane hits, odds are people WILL die, & there’s nothing funny about that.

Please do the right thing & join me in publicly condemning this disgusting display of partisanship, over humanity.

    Thank You Sincerely,

    ~Dan Lee

There is the subject of girl-watching; and then there is the subject of political policy. They are different.

No amount of beauty will make me think that a liberal is correct in her philosphy (ref: Kirstin Powers or Susan Sarandon). Similarly, if I find that a true-blue conservative like Gov Palin or Michelle Malkin can rock a bikini, then that’s simply irrelevant to her policy positions.

That is just liberal nonsense. In 1996 I had an angiogram after having some problems. Diagnosis? Surgery required post haste. 4 days later I was admitted for a triple bypass. Try that in Canada.

6 months ago I had my yearly PSA. Turned out to be more than twice the previous year. Next day I was in for a scan. Diagnosis? Prostate cancer. The following week I began a 45 day course of high dosage radiation called IGRT (computer directed radiation) after gold markers were implanted. Try THAT in Canada, where they are still using old fashioned “bomb the body” radiation, IF you can get into a hospital soon enough.

There is no place in the world you can get the kind of treatment, inthe time frame you can get it, than the USA.

    That is complete bunk.

Maybe, then, you can explain to the class why people from all over the world come here, or are sent here, in order to receive treatments, surgeries and what-not? Why is it that people from Canada and elsewhere come here in order to be seen in our ER’s due to the fact that it takes weeks or months before they can gain an appointment to see a physician.

If you want a peek at what it is like to have Socialized Medicine, take a look at how Kaiser operates. Takes weeks to months before you get in to see a doc, you have no choice as to who you see, getting in to see a specialist is a nightmare and more often than not, turned down, patients elxpelled from the Hospital well before they are ready to be etc.

If you love the long waits in ER’s now, or if you have no problem with long response times of ambulances, and if you want doctors that do not go the extra distance in gaining experience in knowledge and expertise because they no longer can make extra money for their effort, then by al means, go for that Socialized Medicine.

I have a great essay on the subject, and as a medical professional, I can tell you that in this country, Socialized Medicine would be the largest mistake anyone could ever make.

They just can’t wrap their head around the fact that I don’t care if women wear pants or vote or go to college. When they find out I’m a Republican they immediately think “biggoted homophobic mysoganist who hates immigrants, poor people and sex.” I’ve worked with people for years who have never managed to overcome their biases against me no matter how well they know the stereotype to be untrue, and I’ve worked with still more who think that I’m some kind of anomaly, that I’m not a “true” Christian, conservative or Republican because I don’t fit the mold created by the media, Hollywood and their friends.

It’s as ignorant and ill-informed as any other bigotry.

I think I can safely say that this statement is pretty much true for all of us.

I could be wrong but I don’t think I am. RetFireman is a sarcastic one as are many of us conservatives. Read carefully before commenting. I could be wrong but I don’t think I am.

Remember Gary Hart? That champion of environmentalism and political ethics was caught with a certain darling celebrity starlet of the left on his lap. Poof! Gonzo baby.

I believe you may be remembering Hart being linked to Debra Winger, which was never proved. What really happened with Hart was more egregious, as laid out by AmericanHeritage.com (bold mine):

When rumors began circulating about his supposed extramarital affairs, Sen. Gary Hart, the leading candidate for the 1988 Democratic nomination for President, challenged the media. He told The New York Times in an interview published on May 3, 1987, that they should “follow me around. . . . They’ll be very bored.” As the NBC anchor John Chancellor explained a few days later, “We did. We weren’t.”

    (snip)

[Reporter Tom Fiedler] and a senior editor decided that Jim McGee, an investigative reporter, should catch a Friday afternoon plane to Washington—the flight most likely to have the mystery woman—and stake out Hart’s house. McGee barely made the 5:30 flight. On it he noticed one particularly striking blonde. Could this be her?

Staking out Hart’s house that evening, McGee saw Hart’s front door open at about 9:30 and a man and woman emerge. It was Hart and the blonde on the plane.

    (snip)

He denied that the woman had spent the night at his house and gave several lawyer-like denials of any impropriety. The reporters, facing a rapidly approaching deadline, decided to go with the story, which appeared in the Sunday, May 3, edition of the paper, with the headline “Miami Woman Is Linked to Hart.” It caused a sensation.

    (snip)

At a press conference on May 6, the senator furiously denied doing anything wrong. “If I had intended a relationship with this woman,” he said, “believe me . . . I wouldn’t have done it this way.”

Say what you will about Donna Rice, she turned out to be more than “a starlet.” Where is she now? Surprise! She’s now known as Donna Rice Hughes, and is an activist for regulating online pornography.

Forget Bikini’s — and a seed for a new topic please:

We all know with Gus arriving that the Katrina retrospectives are going to be flying blaming Bush for it’s creation — but how much is the media going to let Ragin slide for what happened? After all, N.O.’s mayor had primary responsibility there (when he wasn’t busy stashing his fam out of harm’s way in Dallas!) If a storm hit NYC, who do you think the media would blame more for any preparedness fiasco there??

I hope they find a picture of Palin in a bikini. Then, I hope they find another of Biden in a bikini, and let the voters take their pick.
