Yes Obama did say that…here is the problem…too many of your liberal brethren have a view of firearm owners in which we are equated to criminals who are or should be locked up for committing obvious crimes. I have found that attitude infuriating…and some of you in Democratic party still wonder why we gave control of Congress to Republicans?

Uh-huh. And how is Obama going to do that without imposing a police state? We have anywhere between 12 to 30 million people who have managed to be smuggled or smuggle themselves into the US illegally. Likewise, how many tons of weed, blow and heroin get smuggled into the US daily?* You don’t think those same cartels would move to smuggle weapons too?

Tell you what, when Obama can shut down the drug cartels, or at least keep them from shipping drugs here and keep people from entering the US illegally and maintain American liberties, I’ll believe his BS about stopping criminals from getting AKs while maintaining our liberties. Till I see that, it’s all a bunch of lies and demagoguery in an effort to impose fascist gun control policy.

You are leaving out all the neighborhood unlicensed pharmaceutical agents, the petty thugs and purse snatchers, the ex-cons, the FFA (Future Felons of America) ad various other wonderful members and contributors to society of their ilk.

Saying that only the gang-bangers would have guns is just plain wrong.

When politicians go into office for the sole purpose of modifying our rights, they are only there to inhibit. They are not there to “protect” us. That is the job of police, fire, military, etc. NOT the politician.

Everyone should enjoy the freedoms we instill. Ms. Malkin and we are enjoying both Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Press right now. Right now.

I have no problem for anyone here to file for a gun license for concealed weapons. I have no problem for anyone here going to get a handgun, assult rifle, or even and M-79 grenade launcher. You do have the right to own these and can file to get the paperwork.

Not to argue the point, but a .577 Nitro Express is a double rifle, and that clown is shooting a single bbl bolt action rifle. Having worked in the ammo manufacturing sector, and loaded (and shot) ammunition for everything up to .600 Nitro Express, I can say I’ve never seen a bolt action rifle for a cartridge that large, that doesn’t have a muzzlebrake to reduce recoil.

That’s what it was identified as in the video, right-on. I load my own and have for years too, but the industry has come up with crazier things than a bolt action .577 before. Who would have thought there’d be a bolt action .50mg?

Not arguing, man – just sayin that’s what it was ID’d as.

And having Sarah!, an NRA Life Member in the White House oughta help keep McCain in line, as his 2A record ain’t exactly stellar (although infinitely better than that of The Chosen One). I’m sure she won’t just be standing by quietly if Johnny tries to sign some bill outlawing gun shows, as he is want to do.
