Palin attacks counterproductive as well as moronic
I hate to spend any more time or blog real estate on such grabastic buffoons who are digging up–well, making up–crap about Governor Palin, but let me add a comment to the second item Michelle mentioned here.
Basically a loon at Kos believes that Sarah Palin’s fifth child was actually born to Palin’s high school daughter and the Governor’s just covering for her.
It’s just one lone nut blogging at Kos, you might point out. Barely even worth a post. And that’s what I thought until I looked at the results of the poll at the bottom:
These people will believe anything.
But wait–let’s assume for a second that this goofy idea is true. Let’s say for a second that Governor Palin decided to adopt her daughter’s unplanned special-needs child and present him to the world as her own…
That would make her kind of a saint, wouldn’t it?
And wouldn’t it be an interesting contrast to the Democratic candidate, who was willing to abort his hypothetical grandchildren to remove the “burden” of an unplanned pregnancy?
“Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old,” he said. “I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby. I don’t want them punished with an STD at age 16, so it doesn’t make sense to not give them information.”

Keep digging, Kossacks. The more you find, or think you find, the better Palin looks.
Oh, speaking of which, here’s one Republican that didn’t approve the Palin pick. But I think he just wanted it for himself…so he could “tell all the bigots to shut up“.

I’ve been thinking the same thing about Trig. A big “so what?” even if it’s her grandson. My big problem is this makes it an attack on Palin’s daughter – whose business is it anyway? Which raises the question: who cares? These people are engaged in a never-ending quest to argue simply for the sake of argument, of twisting each and every single thing into a political diatribe in which the Republicans and Conservatives are Pure Evil.
They are the extreme, shrieking fringe, and no one is paying attention to them but themselves. The large, moderate middle of the country is reliably repelled by their contortions; there is little doubt that these sort of pronouncements were largely responsible for Republican victories over the last may years, in cases where the Republicans were clearly facing an otherwise uphill battle. Only in the last midterms – when the DNC wisely locked the loons in the closet – did the Democrats manage to prevail. As they should have, given the failure of the Republicans to deliver on so many points. But the GOP could have easily pulled out another victory had the DNC courted the fringe as closely as they had earlier.
I wonder at the inordinate amount of attention paid to the DK around here. They simply aren’t saying anything that anyone is listening to. Instead of hand-wringing over their histrionics, we should be concentrating on directing the MSM to their sites in hopes of getting more coverage of their pronouncements. Wasting time deliberating over them here is counterproductive; there are more important things to do, like ensuring that John McCain’s actual message gets out loud and clear.

Okay – I haven’t posted here for a long time. I said several times I would not vote for John McCain for several issue-related reasons and I received some pretty offensive vitriol on this site for my trouble. So, until today I’ve stayed out of the comments section and just read the stories.
Now, I’ve got tell you, with McCain picking this amazing lady as his running mate, I’m going to reverse my course and pull the lever for this team.
I think Sarah Palin is the best thing that’s happened to the Republican Party in a long time – and I have to give McCain great credit for choosing this Governor as a running mate. She’s a winner!
I don’t care now what complaining or smearing goes on in the mainstream media now (and there will be lots of it), I’m on board for this team. And perhaps here we have someday our first female President of The United States. I’d vote for her in a heartbeat. Sarah Palin is exactly what this nation needs. She’s smart, tough, courageous, a great speaker, a shrewd politician, and yes, she’s a very attractive woman.
What more could we ask for?
This family is going to make us proud to be Americans. And she’s going to be a great VP for John McCain.

How pathetic! At least come up with an original scenario if you’re going to make crap up.

3. Now they somehow discover it was her daughter’s baby; the Devil as the source.
So, I ask this: how many mutually exclusive explanations for demeaning Palin can they put forth? I learned a long time ago doing intelligence work and a career as community mental health clinician that mutually exclusive explanations are a cardinal indicator of liars.
I despise these rotten poor excuses for people. Our country deserves better.

There’s a guy in the position of Senator for the State of North Carolina who thinks that a pregnant teenager is nothing more than a “mistake”?? And he puts having a baby in the same column as a sexually transmitted disease??
Hello, Mr. Graham, a few things here: If they’re unmarried its called “fornication,” not “mistake”.
Another, getting pregnant is not an, oopsy “mistake”. In case you’ve forgotten, with minutely few exceptions such as rape, it’s a deliberate and willful act.
Another, having a baby is not “punishment” like a spanking with a wooden spoon and being sent to your room.
Another, a baby could hardly be equated to an STD.
Maybe you actually thought of your baby girls as STD’s and mistakes, in which case I feel very sorry for your wife and daughters.
One more question: At what age does having a baby no longer constitute an oopsy “mistake” or an STD??
