CJ..I mentioned (another thread) that one of my friends is “Gramma” to a wonderful DS
grandson. He participates in Special Olympics and is loved by everyone that knows him.
I have seldom seen Josh without a smile for everyone and I have heard him comfort
people around him when he thinks they are down. He was just dumped by his Mother
and her boyfriend (not sure if he is the father) because she didn’t believe she was
pregnant “at her age”). He is wonderful and gives the best hugs!!!

Exactly. With my first, it was the former - I thought I simply had to pee shortly after I’d gotten to the hospital. I didn’t realize my water had broken until the OB asked when my water had broken, because he noted the presence of meconium when he examined me.

With my second, the waters came like a flood, and kept coming for the hour plus that it took to get to the hospital.

I would guess that after four kids, Gov. Palin, unlike myself as a first-time mom, would have recognized even a trickle for what it was.

Sad to say, but I think you’re right. A short while ago on Fox there was a Dem spokeswoman trying to excuse the two Dems yucking it up on the plane about the probability of Gustave hitting New Orleans on the first day of the RNC convention. Then she made it worse by pointing out how VP Cheney was criticized for fishing (or hunting?) during Katrina, as though that makes it okay for Dems to joke about millions of people’s lives being disrupted - again - by a catastrophic storm.

You see, the “technical issues” are great theory and academic points to argue over, but with global warming it all comes down to one thing: What’s the temp outside? Global averages leveled off and have now fallen a bit, yet CO2 production has continued to climb globally. If CO2 is the culprit, how can this be?

When you mouth off about people smart enough to appreciate the technical issues, it sounds a lot like you’re saying us bunch of dumb hicks aren’t smart enough to get.

I know it snowed in Bagdad last winter, for the first time in recorded history.

The observed temperatures do not support man-made GW. There’s no counter arguement for that, no matter what the eggheads make up.

There’s one more thing: even in the article I linked, there is a statement that says

increased concentrations have a progressively smaller warming effect.

What if more CO2 isn’t going to do any more damage? (Assuming it was to begin with.)

If Sarah Palin is a trophy VP-Then what is BHO? When you put the qualifications for BHO/Biden versus McCain/Palin three have political experience and BHO isn’t one of them.

BHO-Senator for 143 days before running for POTUS, organized a community action group, and is very friendly with an unrepentent terrorist, spent close to 20 years with a racist minister, and has recently threatened a 527 group for running a truthful ad. Can’t tell how many states there are in the USA, no foreign policy experience and it showed with being unable to identify the languages being spoken in Afghanistan when he attempted to explain why we were losing there because of the lack of Arabic translators. Supports infantcide and wants to unconditionally negotiate with dictators. Hasn’t intiated one piece of legislation while in office, but has answered present at least 150 times.

Biden-Senator for 35 years, ran for POTUS several times, stated BHO isn’t qualified for POTUS, and served on various senate committees. Has intiated and sponsored various pieces of leglislation through out his career.

McCain-Senator for over 20 years, has a record of bipartinship, tends to be take some liberal positions regarding illegal immigration, and supports Thomas, Scalia, and Roberts. No verbal gaffes and can speak without a teleprompter.

Palin-State senator, town mayor, governor of the 48th state in the union, former business owner, fought corruption across party lines, knowledgeable of about domestic energy issues, and was head of Alaska’s National Guard.

In the end, the choice is clear-

McCain/Palin 2008!
