Palin Derangement Syndrome

By Michelle Malkin  •  August 31, 2008 10:02 AM

Of all the moronic attacks on Sarah Palin, and they are piling up, this has got to be one of the lowest of the low.

And it’s brought to you by the morbid ghouls who would rather you abort your unborn children than bring them into the world and increase the planet’s carbon footprint. Left-wing definition of “proper pre-natal care:” A bloody trip to Planned Parenthood.

Have mercy upon them.

***

More trash here on Gov. Palin’s pregnancy, if you feel like getting your blood pressure up further.

And now: Hot Air Derangement Syndrome.

In addition, any woman who has had her water break and continues to work until she gets to the hospital is my HERO! Labor pains can get extremely painful in a short period of time.

The liberals are really running scarred right now aren’t they?

I really respect Governor Palin’s integrity to put her principles and values to the test by giving birth knowing she would have an increased challenge in raising her 2nd son. We spent yesterday playing with and caring for an 8 ½ month old unplanned child, but being a right to life family we consider every unplanned child a gift from God and such a child will never go unloved and unappreciated.

Alan Colmes you continue to amaze me at how stupid, classless, irresponsible, and unhinged you are along with the rest of the so called liberals on this planet!

So to come out with this awful inuendo is absolutely subhuman. I have no respect for Colmes now. I watched him, listened to his positions with respect. No more.

Here is what he said, transcript via QandO:

One bit of weirdness associated with Palin concerns the birth of her youngest child. As the Alaskan media reported, Palin was attending an energy conference in Texas on April 18 when her water broke four weeks before her due date. After this happened, Palin didn’t head to a hospital or even leave the conference, even though the premature rupture of fetal membrances is normally a cause for an immediate examination by an obstetrician, who will observe the fetus on a monitor to guard against infection and other life-threatening complications. Two other reasons for heightened concern were Palin’s age, 43, and the fact that prenatal testing indicated the child had Down syndrome.

Palin stayed at the conference and delivered a 30-minute speech, then boarded a 12-hour Alaska Airlines flight from Dallas to Anchorage, neglecting to tell the airline her water had broken — most airlines won’t fly a woman in labor. The motivation for all of this appears to be the Palins’ desire that the child be born in Alaska. Her husband Todd told the Anchorage Daily News, “You can’t have a fish picker from Texas.”

When she arrived home, Palin was hospitalized immediately and the baby was born prematurely after labor was induced in the middle of the night.

    He then cited this post.

It seems the unhinged at Workbench are peeing their pants at the prospect of “Malkinites” flooding the site, and are breathing a sigh of relief that Alan has memory holed the post.

That is, I never (though I could have missed the one time) have heard him come up with an original idea, plan, or intelligent thought about anything, political or social, on the show.

All I ever heard him do was complain, berate, and ridicule Hannity’s, or the guest’s, ideas and responses to issues and whine about why it won’t work, can’t be done, or isn’t the right way, but at the same time, never coming up with an alternate plan to fill the void of the one that “won’t work”.

I wonder if the man has ever blurted an encouraging or uplifting word. I never realized that one could be a professional Negative. But, in these nasty-liberal times I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

Over use of botox is another symptom.

Many who suffer this condition go into the news media, politics or the entertainment industry so someone will think they are important. It is a pitiful situation, just pitiful.

The fact that they cannot restrain themselves in this issue has delivered the White House to McCain. The Southern Dems, the working-class blue collar voters in Penn, Ohio, Michigan, this will drive them over to Commander McCain. They were uncomfortable with the big-eared neophyte even in the primaries, now they find solid reason to reject him in the privacy of the voting booth. If Obama thinks these attacks won’t stick to him, he’s dead wrong. The dealings for an apology is between Gov. Palin, her husband, and Colmes. If one neighbor speaks ill of another, I won’t go to my neighbor to demand apologies for the another neighbor, but I will tell that person that what they did wasn’t very polite/proper/respectful/etc.

People, people, people … advocating Colmes be fired for his comments makes us no better than the libtards. We can’t complain about libs abusing the first amendment and then try to use it to silence the libs. Let’s just settle down here.

Make no mistake – I don’t care for Colmes (Hannity either, for that matter) – but everything I have read about him from conservatives who know the man off camera says he is a decent man, unlike many from his side. I think people are reading his comment incorrectly. His comment was:

Two other reasons for heightened concern were Palin’s age, 43, and the fact that prenatal testing indicated the child had Down syndrome.

so he is NOT saying the extended labor and working after Palin’s water broke was cause for the Downs – he knew it was a pre-existing condition. His comment that a womans water breaking is “normally cause for immediate examination by a doctor” is, however, correct, and personally I don’t know how she could continue to work, considering her clothes would most likely be a mess. IF it’s a fact that she continued to work after her water broke. Having delivered 5 babies as a cop – I’m familiar with such things.

I think Colmes removed the comment from his website because in retrospect he knew he crossed the line. If he is as decent a man as I’m told he is – that would be expected. Will he make an “on air” apology? I don’t know, but he should.

That’s my two cents – take it as you will.
