Palin Derangement Syndrome

By Michelle Malkin  •  August 31, 2008 10:02 AM

Of all the moronic attacks on Sarah Palin, and they are piling up, this has got to be one of the lowest of the low.

And it’s brought to you by the morbid ghouls who would rather you abort your unborn children than bring them into the world and increase the planet’s carbon footprint. Left-wing definition of “proper pre-natal care:” A bloody trip to Planned Parenthood.

Have mercy upon them.

***

More trash here on Gov. Palin’s pregnancy, if you feel like getting your blood pressure up further.

And now: Hot Air Derangement Syndrome.

Not for nothing, FM, but my wife has told me she prefers a male OB/GYN because male doctors are generally MORE understanding and gentle. She – and other women I know – have said female OB/GYN’s tend to be less so and more of the “deal with it – women have been doing this forever!”

Just sayin’ although I’m sexist enough to admit I’d prefer other men stay the hell away from my wifes privates. But then I’ve had BF’s/”husbands” look over my should when I delivered their children, so take that for what it’s worth:)

[me: Or at least reasonably close--look at how Lieberman had to adjust his positions when he ran on the Gore ticket.]

Further, a belief in evolution is mostly irrelevant to running a country and global warming (aren’t we cooling now anyway?) is far from settled science.

Are you even aware of what that ex-brother-in-law stands accused of doing?!

We need to know about Palin, not Wootin. Did she abuse her office? Did she lie to investigators?

Would a first term mayor be qualified to be president?

Does being a community activist or a bitter loudmouth make one more qualified?

Obama was a community activist (channeling Goldwater: being a bitter loudmouth in the defense of the people is no vice) when Palin was a beauty queen.

She doesn’t even have opinions about most major national issues.

She has them, liberals are just mad they can’t pin her down with them.

She keeps her positions secret so liberals can’t criticize. Good strategy.

She doesn’t believe in evolution or global warming.

Neither do most thinking people in the U.S. and Europe.

That depends on the definition of “thinking person”. Do you mean people with the scientific background to appreciate the technical issues, or people with the political background to blovate? Technical people believe in evolution (a million to one) and global warming (a thousand to one).

It’s disgraceful and disgusting, and an embarrassment to the USA.

Being liberal is part of it, for sure. Bush/McCain has been a disaster.

Obama has run a great campaign. He beat the Clinton machine & is up in the polls against McCain. His campaign staff is bigger than the staff of the State of Alaska. He worked in the Senate for vets, to keep nukes safe, and on ethics reform. He has actual advisers who actually know things.

You might think McCain is better, given his accomplishments in the Senate. The problem with that is that he has disavowed most of them — campaign finance reform, for example.

    LGM,

I’ll note that we have 2000 scientists who have signed a resolution stating that they do not believe that global warming, climate change, or whatever else you wish to name it is not manmade. I will be getting you a reference when I can.

Regarding Roe v. Wade, I’ll note that, logically, Roe v. Wade does not make legal sense.

Logically, either something has a property or something does not have that property. Regarding a prenatal child (we can call it whatever you like), it either is or is not a human being.

Similarly, we either do know something, or we do not know something. Therefore, we can say that either we do know that a prenatal child is a human being, or it is not.

If you combine these two statements, we have four possibilities.

    1) A prenatal child is a human being, and we know that it is a human being. In this case, abortion is first-degree murder.

    2) A prenatal child is a human being, and we do not know it is a human being. In this case, abortion is manslaughter. As Dr. Peter Kreeft states (and whose argument I am stating here), if you run over a human-shaped lump with a jacket covering it on the street, and that lump is a human being, and you kill it, that is legally defined as manslaughter.

    3) A prenatal child is not a human being, and we do not know if it is a human being. In this case, abortion is the height of irresponsibility. It would be very easy to make a case of criminal neglect out of this.

    4) A prenatal child is not a human being, and we know that it is not a human being. In this case, there is no problem with abortion.

By Roe v. Wade, we cannot tell when life begins. Therefore, options 1) and 4) are removed. That leaves either option 2) or 3) as alternatives. One of them is manslaughter, and the other is quite possibly criminal neglect.

The argument, “We don’t know what it is, and therefore you can kill it/destroy it/get rid of it,” does not hold water in any legal argument except abortion. It violates the principle of erring on the side of caution.

Now, I will look into finding that document for you.

But because this is such a personal issue for me, their utter depravity makes me even angrier. But what can be expected from a group that hails Margaret Sanger as a heroine? While they continue to associate conservatives with Nazis, and Fascists, they are the ones whose actions actually mimick them.
