I’m not a big fan of Gov. Jindal’s social positions, but this guy is an extremely impressive executive. Razor sharp. Extremely detailed oriented. Great communicator. Couldn’t be more impressed with how he handled this crisis.

But, wait. There’s more! The worst person in the world gives too much airtime to a bloated socialist propagandist (who has a real bad problem with moral equivalence).

Gustav is coming ashore a lot weaker than earlier anticipated

No, it is not …if anything..it’s hugging the coast a lot longer than anticipated…making it worse than anticipated…it’s just 1 mph below a cat 3 storm…big storm surges have yet to hit the coast..days of heavy rains are ahead. Tornadoes will be a threat all day today. The levies remain threaten through most of the day.

The storm isn’t over yet…fortunately, we won’t see the loss of life like we did in Katrina and hopefully there will be no US deaths this time …but a lot of people remain in danger of losing their homes in the next few days from the coastal surges today and flooding from massive rains in the next few days ahead.

We also shouldn’t forget the death and destruction it has caused to our Carribean neighbors.

Keep praying – it was the storm surge afterward that caused the real devastation in both New Orleans and the Mississippi coast.
