Bristol Palin chooses life. Now leave her alone.

The Palin family values the sanctity of life. They talk the talk and walk the walk. It is driving the Left absolutely insane beyond the farthest reaches of unhingedness. Now comes the news that 17-year-old daughter Bristol is pregnant. “News” that wouldn’t be news but for the nutroots P.D.S. conspiracy theories that won’t die.
The 17-year-old daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is pregnant, Palin said on Monday in an announcement intended to knock down rumors by liberal bloggers that Palin faked her own pregnancy to cover up for her child.
Bristol Palin, one of Alaska Gov. Palin’s five children with her husband, Todd, is about five months pregnant and is going to keep the child and marry the father, the Palins said in a statement released by the campaign of Republican presidential candidate John McCain.
The official family statement on the McCain website:
“We have been blessed with five wonderful children who we love with all our heart and mean everything to us. Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents. As Bristol faces the responsibilities of adulthood, she knows she has our unconditional love and support.
“Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family. We ask the media to respect our daughter and Levi’s privacy as has always been the tradition of children of candidates.”
What will the bottom-feeders do next? Investigate their dating history? Hound them during their pre-natal visits a la Alan Colmes?

We know what Obama and company think she should have done. Remember?
“Look, I got two daughters — 9 years old and 6 years old,” he said. “I am going to teach them first about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby.
One ticket sees this as a blessing. The other sees it as a curse. Could the core differences between the two be any starker?

I’m agitated by the attitude of commenters here, not on the young lady being pregnant. It’s called “reading comprehension.” You might want to brush up on it.

I have been watching Larry King Live tonight and am appalled at the things that the Democrat talking heads are saying about Gov. Palin. I sent many emails to Larry King because he allowed one commentor to say that Gov Palin will probably be “in prison” by the November elections. Obviously, they nor Larry King have any ethics. Please help me to email Larry King and to protest CNN by turning off the Larry King show when it is on.
BO has experience: making back room deals with felons, selling his soul for long term relationships with low life scum such as domestic terrorists and religious nut cases, buying into the anti-civilization schemes of the radical Alinsky – who else would dedicate a book to Satan himself, using race to harm others and advance himself.
He intends to punish this nation and destroy anyone who gets in his way. Whatever he was, he has been exposed to millions of mindless followers who only know that BO is going to save the world and believe every word he tells them no matter how ridiculous – this is the poison that drives humans insane from Howard Hughes to Stalin, to Leona Helmsly. He is surrounded by those who cannot distinguish right from wrong, fact from fiction, and indeed want BO to lead them. No one to tell him the truth about himself. Already he is showing the signs of believing all the propaganda his campaign releases about him. No one can honestly disagree with BO on any issue – their heresy is merely racism and should be punished.
BO also has associated himself with groups that specialize in voter fraud and this year the Dems are going all out to steal every vote. We need volunteers from the NRA to monitor every polling station and to counter any intimidation from the thugs BO will be sending. Our military men and women need to remember Florida 2000 and how the Dems tried to disenfranchise them and monitor the voting too. We will need to set up legal teams to counter illegal actions by crooked liberal judges to alter voting laws during or after the balloting.
Let me ask the trolls something:
We can all agree that murder is wrong, correct?
So as a society, we tell our children that it is wrong to murder.
Nevertheless, some of our children still go out and commit murder.
So does it follow then that we should no longer tell our children to refrain from murder because telling them does not work?
Please enlighten us.

You know, this crossed my mind too, and now that the Anchoress has voiced it, I am getting more suspicious:
Yes. His “camp” has shown lack of civility. I think that Obama’s shady associations, as with Rezko, Ayers, Wright, are still reflected in his current ones.
They don’t. A CNN moron (woman, go figure) went all ape s$$t asking if Sarah could be a mother and VP at the same time. To his credit, Anderson Cooper noted that no one asks the same thing about men. Then Larry King got all excited and creepy about Palin’s daughter. So creepy you wonder about a 149 year old guy getting excited about a 17 year old’s sex life.
The flip side of all this nitwittery on the left is that the left will soon have to deal with a re-energized angry conservative base, that would not have been re-energized any other way…this is something Team Obama does not want.…it would be far simpler for Obama to deal with a moribund McCain, especially in light of Obama’s pick of Joe Biden (who) does absolutely nothing for Obama.
Obama in a nutshell has shot his wad and still can’t overcome McCain. Now is the opportunity McCain has been waiting for…if he doesn’t blow it by throwing Palin under the bus too…here McCain and Palin too must stand unflinchingly, and if they do they will win big time.
For those who say that Palin was a bad choice, I would like to hear who should have McCain picked that would get him the votes of conservatives-the one group that has been antagonistic toward McCain to the point of militancy (of which I admit to have been a part of until now)?

I wish the Palins the best; who doesn’t know family or friends that have dealt with this situation and now have teenagers, college students or adult children born in these difficult times who are now their pride and joy.

I said this earlier over at LGF and I’ll repeat it here… having both a woman and a black man on the ticket at the same time, has unleashed a level of crazy in the Dem party that I’ve not seen in my lifetime.
I think that we can safely say that 2008 is the year that the diseased gut of the Democratic party officially ruptured. The whole d*mned party is bloated and infected, and the infection is now spilling out for all the world to see.
I think that we can also safely say that 2008 is going to be the year that female voters in this country decide that they’ve finally had enough, and abandon the Democratic party to either vote Republican or Independent.
It’s become crystal clear to many if not most women of voting age that the Dem party is the party of mysogeny.
The Democratic party is about to lose HUGE chunks of its’ demographic… women voters, black voters, moderates. And they don’t even seem to care. They’re so bent on spewing their poisonous vomit onto the American political scene that they’ve become detached from reality.

lgm, you missed my previous point. Bristol had sex (we do not know if it was unprotected or if the protection failed) and she is pregnant. She is accepting her mistake and is dealing with it without seeking sympathy or asking the government for help. AIDS victims (with the minor exception of those that get it from blood donations, rape, unfaithful spouse, etc.) get their disease from voluntary high-risk sexual activity. It is not right to discriminate against AIDS victims, but they have no right asking me, through taxation on my hard-earned income, to support their humungous medical bills or to give them other special consideration. Take the voluntary risk, accept the fate.
Politics is a gutter business on both sides of the aisle.
Here’s where you went wrong: “It seems to me…” You get AIDS through anal intercourse and/or intravenous drug use (whether or not you’re wearing a condom when you shoot up). Understand now?

For what it’s worth Troopergate is the kind of problem an executive leader faces that does not exist in the senate. Pretend for a moment she didn’t do everything in her power to get the guy fired and he tasered another child or killed someone while drinking and driving in a patrol car. She would be vilified for keeping such a slug on her force when she knew what she knows (The evil of the guy isn’t even disputed in Kosland, but they would never defend a trooper or a taser).

Anything else they do is secondary to that and subject to passing these essential “tests” first. No man is held to this standard.

Are we in fundamentalist Iran, a world of Burkhas? No, but you know what? We have certainly proven beyond a doubt that we have a long way to go.
The accusations that it is the Dems or the Republicans misses what is the obvious larger and more pressing problem. Intolerance is systemic across the spectrum, no matter what the political affiliation. It is clear from everything that has transpired during this election that sexism is an equal opportunity disease.
God Bless Hillary Clinton and Sarah Palin. If ever there was a fierce urgency, it is now.
Liberals use every form of media to entice children into early sex, theough music videos, music, movies like “Juno”, & television shows.
Then, once they finally cave into the pressure to have sex that’s in large part created by the pop culture atmosphere that is created almost exclusively by liberals, they begin the process of selectively condemning anyone who they do not agree with, or who does not fully submit to their twisted social standards.

Obama said he’s “offended” by the discussion about Bristol Palin. He must be positively apoplectic by now.
Is the event of HS kids having a baby great news? No. But what’s done is done. Choosing to keep the baby is positive step 1. Raising a good kid is positive step 2.
It happened to my sister in her early 20’s. She married the guy. My nephew is a cool, decent kid, and a pretty good baseball player. My sister briefly considered ending the pregnancy, because she and the Dad were really fighting at that point.
Thankfully, she decided she was going to have the baby regardless and everything worked out in the end.
Trig and Bristol is a family matter. I wish them well. Palin makes McCain stronger. I like her as person and her political acumen. She the most real of the three candidates.

Clearly, the media and the Democrats want the news of Bristol’s pregnancy to harm Sarah Palin, and, by extension, harm the GOP. They want to divide the Republicans up on this matter and sow doubt within the GOP.
I am sure that the Palin family has shed real tears over this matter, and I am sure Bristol has regrets.
But, the Palins are going forward with their lives, and they are not going to abort the inconvenient baby. For that, I applaud them all.
I approve of Sarah Palin as McCain’s veep, and I will vote for them. I will also make a donation to the campaign.
Let us all stand by our ticket.
