We noted the nutroots’ deepening Palin Derangement Syndrome over the weekend, topped by a diarist at the Daily Kos who’s been spreading disgusting, bottom-of-the-barrel rumors — picked up by the excitable and shameless Andrew Sullivan — about Gov. Sarah Palin’s youngest child and attacking one of Palin’s daughters as the mother of Trig.
The Free Republic fights back with photos of a very pregnant Gov. Palin in late February. I linked to an April blog post from an airline passenger who met the pregnant governor on a flight from Fairbanks. It is unbelievably surreal that this dirtbag Kossack rumor has to be debunked.
Even another Kos diarist is now trying to undo the damage. Accompanied by the photo the Freepers found, the diarist headlined a post this morning: “Sarah Palin Baby Story Ender.” The diarist insists: “Unless someone has counter evidence, we can drop this crap now.”
The diarist is arguing with his/her fellow tinfoilers about whether Palin is wearing a “fake pregnancy suit” and commenters are still insisting that Palin’s daughter was showing and the governor was not. And in an update, the diarist — no doubt feeling pressure from the paranoid zealots in the cesspool — is polling readers on whether the post should be deleted. Nearly 30 percent of readers think the post attempting to debunk the rumor should be deleted.
Truly, truly unhinged.

It’s not hard to find photos of the family where the daughter seems to be showing and Mom does not seem to be showing. The photos are not necessarily from 2008, but from the ages of the kids, they can’t be from very long ago.
There are several different pictures taken on different days of the whole family. The ones I saw were part of the video on three YouTube videos, by three separate people.
At the very least, there is something strange going on here.

None of us have any clue whether there’s any truth to this rumor. This diary doesn’t come close to answering the question.
It’s one picture taken on an uncertain date, and the poster initially got it wrong as to who took the picture. There are other pictures posted here by others that raise serious suspicions. I’d like to compare the dates of those photos w/ the date of this photo, and I’d like even more to see additional photos taken in the interim.
Team McCain made an impulsive last-minute decision b/c they saw their #s cratering during the DNC. I have little doubt that the decision will come to haunt them. Whether this story is what haunts them most of all remains to be seen.
Some men see things as they are and ask why. I see things that never were and ask why not?

Not only do you bring shame to Obama’s campaign, you do us all shame by posting such crap on this website. Kos, you better take control of your website before this becomes fuel for the republicans. I’ve never seen so blatant a hatred for a woman as I’ve seen here on this website the past 72 hours. It’s bad on other sites, but not as flagrant or as plentiful. Almost every diary is now about this woman who is now becoming the story, and not Obama or our faith in him. If I was independent and seen the diaries and comments of the past few days I’ve read here, I wouldn’t touch the democrats with a 10 foot pole right now, whether Palin is a moose killer or is friends with secessionists. There was a thread on the liberal backpacking forum I frequent about this scandal. All the libs were eating it up and discussing the pregnancy. I posted that obvious picture this morning when it dropped. Moderator instantly deleted the entire thread without mentioning it. Good game.
The Daily Kos, could serve in a social experiment, that might benefit society at large. They should be studied, I bet there are professionals, who would like to observe their behavior, and write ground breaking research. On how with the establishment of this website, these alternate extreme explanations for the most simple events…i.e. an older woman who is pregnant, is at risk for a down syndrome baby, and then has a down syndrome baby. The Kossacks, are a segment of society that is quasi delusional on a regular basis. I would poll them to see if their mothers used any kind of drugs, when they were carrying them. Drugs that have been suspend for use, and has shown now to cause side effects today. Look how many medications today carry a warning: Do not use or handle if you are pregnant or suspect you might become pregnant. Big Pharma has been treating us like lab rats for ages. There is also the consideration of their diet, today products like Milk, have shown to cause side effects in people because of the hormones they give cows. Just musings, that they might be susceptible to all kinds of food allergies, that have shown to effect a person’s personality adversely.

Once again the most tolerant and compassionate among us look at a beautiful sixteen-year-old girl and see nothing but an object they can use for their own political gains. Senior McCain campaign officials said McCain knew of the daughter’s pregnancy when he selected Palin last week as his vice presidential running mate, deciding that it did not disqualify the 44-year-old governor in any way.
McCain officials said the news of the daughter’s pregnancy was being released to rebut what one aide called “mud-slinging and lies” circulating on liberal blog sites.
According to these rumors, Sarah Palin had faked a pregnancy and pretended to have given birth in May to her fifth child, a son named Trig who has Down syndrome. The rumor was that Trig was actually Bristol Palin’s child and that Sarah Palin was the grandmother.
A senior McCain campaign official said the McCain camp was appalled that these rumors had not only been spread around liberal blog sites and partisan Democrats, but also were the subject of heightened interest from mainstream news media.
“The despicable rumors that have been spread by liberal blogs, some even with Barack Obama’s name in them, is a real anchor around the Democratic ticket, pulling them down in the mud in a way that certainly juxtaposes themselves against their ‘campaign of change,’” a senior aide said.

Stating that “Those that die without Christ have a horrible, horrible surprise” is not earth-shattering or proof of a ‘Jeremiah Wright’ moment. It is a basic tenet of Christianity. We believe that Christ came to earth and died for our sins so that we could be saved from etrnal damnation. Without that premise, Christianity has no reason to exist. Ohhhh, now I get it. That is exactly what the lefty socialists would like to see happen. Eradicate all belief in a higher power so that they may unleash their doctrine of ones’ self as the only God you need. #137, actually this does in my mind affect Sarah Palin’s ability to represent conservatives. As a conservative, I don’t want someone representing me who can’t succeed at instilling in her own girls simple core values such as respecting your body as something God has given you. I don’t care if Governor Palin owns a gun, enjoys hunting, takes down unethical politicians, or anything else. I care that she represents conservative values that are proactive, not reactive. And I think liberals will turn this into a sex education debate, not an abortion debate, so we need to be prepared for that.

I’d much rather see Gov. Palin’s statement highlighted in the prime position. It is forthright and admirable, and puts the entire matter in exactly the right perspective – WHATEVER their daughter chooses, she has her family’s full support, and thank you for NOT turning this into a media circus.
How about emphasizing the positive, instead of amplifying the opposition’s negatives?
Imagine how the Obama campaign would react if the “stalker” blogs went after one of his daughters on a private matter.
The left did it with Bush, they are doing it now.
When Edwards was out sleeping with his aides, they sat on the story to “protect the family”.

10 years ago, my daughter told us that she was pregnant by her then boyfriend. Three months after Ashley was born, they got married. What a wonderful young man he is now that he has grown up. And my granddaughter just lights up my life. Mistake of a baby–not on your life.

Very true. I’ve resisted the temptation to follow the pack and post this crap on my blog. I just won’t do it, because in my mind – doing so gives it credence. There are plenty of other really critical issues to blog about than even mentioning this non-issue. I won’t give them the satisfaction of trying to refute obvious fabrications to a bunch of moral and mental degenerates.

I have ran into a classic case of this with a troll. The troll’s post, were remarkable in that they appear to be trying to communicate, and obscure the meaning of their communication simultaneously.
