Meanwhile, back on the War on Terror…

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 2, 2008 10:53 PM

The US military hands over control of Anbar province to the Iraqis.

Jihad conspiracist Sami Al-Arian has been freed. Ugh:

Palestinian Arab activist, Sami Al-Arian, is free from jail.

His respite from jail may not last long: The former college professor faces a second round of criminal charges in his lengthy legal battle with federal prosecutors.

Al-Arian had been in government custody since he was charged with being the leader in America of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad more than five years ago. He was not convicted at trial, although he subsequently pleaded guilty to lending aid to that group and received a sentence of 57 months. Al-Arian’s incarceration has outlasted that sentence, as prosecutors first used civil contempt charges, then criminal charges, and finally an immigration proceeding to lengthen his stay behind bars.

And ABC reports details of the indictment of suspected al Qaeda bigwig Affia Siddiqui, who was caught with dirty bomb notes and mass casualty plans. Oh, and a liter of cyanide:

Aafia Siddiqui, the alleged Mata Hari of Al Qaeda, was indicted by federal authorities in New York today for allegedly attempting to kill the FBI agents, US soldiers, interpreters and others who attempted to interview her following her July capture in Afghanistan. The seven count indictment detailed her alleged possession of detailed handwritten notes on “dirty bombs,” terrorist recruiting, New York targets, and the relative casualty rates for various weapons of mass destruction.
Aafia Siddiqui, who holds degrees from MIT and Brandeis in biology and neuroscience, allegedly had in her possession when captured by Afghanistan’s National Police on July 17th detailed chemical, biological and radiological weapon information that has been seen only in a handful of terrorist cases, as well as a thumb drive packed with emails, according to the indictment. That information was first reported by ABC News on August 12th. In addition, ABC has learned, the chemicals the indictment alleges Siddiqui had in her possession included about a liter of cyanide.

In Obama world, another master’s degree would have cured Siddiqui’s evil.

Ah yes, the Muslim Brotherhood. Responsible for many acts of Islamic terrorism including the assasination of Sadat. Dates back to the 1940’s. The original Islamic Extremist group.
Notice how all of our enemies seem to contribute to Democrat campaigns? Must just be coincidence, right Trolls?

Tut-tut Michelle, don’t you know that in order to truly rehabilitate this guy, he’ll need more than another degree. With his level of experience, he’d be perfect as a member of Obama’s cabinet.

    From Arutzsheva.com:

    Saudi Arabians Back Obama
    by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

Saudi Arabians, including expatriates, are backing Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama.
According to the Arab News, which describes itself as the Arab world’s leading English daily newspaper, the reasons for Saudi support of the rookie senator range from his being black to his middle name being Hussein, which has led many Saudis to believe he is a Muslim. Sen. Obama was born in Kenya to a Muslim father, who had several wives, but the presidential candidate is Christian.

Arab News quoted Pakistani expatriate Mohammed Yousuf as saying, “Some believed Obama is a Muslim because of his middle name. All the blacks so far in power at various levels have shown their commitment and determination to serve the country and the world without discrimination of color and religion. However, the track record of whites has been to side with Israel rather than with Muslim countries. We now have a ray of hope in Obama.”

Arab and Muslim support for Sen. Obama is not universal but few Arab voices are encouraging voters to back Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain. Ali Alarabi, writing for the London-based AlArab web site, wrote last week that Arab and Muslim Americans should not vote for a third candidate instead of Sen. Obama.
He said that initial support for Sen. Obama waned after he made several public moves to remove his identification with Muslims and picked as his running mate Delaware Sen. Joe Biden, a non-Jew who defined himself as a “Zionist.”

However, Sen. Obama still maintains a wide appeal among Muslims because of his father having been a Kenyan Muslim. “Many are those who will agree that his message of change and hope is destined for the African audience,” wrote for Modern Ghana.com.

In Israel, Arabs so far have generally remained quiet about the presidential campaign, but Hamas leaders said several weeks ago they hope Sen. Obama wins. A group of pro-Obama Gaza students are conducting a telephone campaign aimed at American voters.

I always consult Arabs before I enter the polls. I would never want to offend an Arab. Seriously, all the more reason to vote for McCain. Maybe Obama will get the bin Laden endorsement like Kerry did.
