Right on cue, the Beltway snobs dumped on Gov. Sarah Palin’s brilliantly crafted and delivered speech tonight by immediately pointing out that the speech was “written for her.”
What officeholder — from mayors to the President — doesn’t have speeches written for them?
Now, they have a problem with political candidates who are skilled at reading a teleprompter and delivering great soundbites and revving up large crowds?
Now?
They fear. They hate. They squirm.

My sweetie and I were watching the speech together and after we heard the first FNC talking head (Mort) say the first “she had it written for her” snipe, we were both shaking our heads. Then that idiot Nancy Something-or-other said the same thing and Brit Hume spanked her verbally.
We were glad to see someone call the libs on that crappy attack line, but the fact that this has NEVER been brought up regarding “The One’s” prepared speeches made us both incredibly angry.
Regardless, we are pumped beyond belief about this ticket now. We’ll hold McCain’s feet to the fire on certain issues, but this is war and we are 100% in this fight!

If that is true about them being two different people, I apologize for the mix-up. My mistake.
Do these people even know what it is that a Speech Writer does? No, they do not just put a bunch of words together and hand it to the person to read. Those people are called SCRIPT writers.
A Speech Writer takes the person’s own words and arranges them in a way that makes them sound coherent, so that the person refrains from falsehoods, redundancy etc. They are more like proof-readers.
Therefore, Sarah would have given them what she intended to say in her speech and the speech writer would then write it out in a cogent form, making sure that it also kept with McCain’s message.
This is what the Liberal Hack known as Chris Matthews used to do for a living prior to becoming a Liberal Shill on a cable news channel and what Ben Stein did prior to becoming a Hollywood mega-star.
Therefore all this garbage about Gov. Palin having one is nothing more than a ploy to smear her to the uneducated twits and trolls on the Left who take everything they are told by their Liberal Masters at face value and refuse to educate themselves, feeling that they are already all-knowing due to being Liberals.

I have not felt this excited, this energized, this proud of anyone in our party giving a speech since Bush stood on “The Pile” with all my Brothers searching for all my Lost Brothers after we were attacked and sent into war against the New Fascism disguised as Islam. Before that it was in 1984, standing outside on the lawn in front of the California State Capital building, listening to Ronaldus Magnus speak, shaping my beliefs with hope, trust, honesty, strength and integrity.
If McCain and his managers have any modicum of intelligence, as we know he does, then he will have her out there in the forefront delivering as many of his speeches as well as her own as they can. The more people see her and listen to her, the more she will win them over, except for those Patchouli Oil damaged brains of the Uber-Libs who usurped the DNC.
Someone explain to me, using small words because I’m former military, why it’s ok for Barack Obama to read his speeches that were written for him but not Mrs. Palin? I saw in the NY Times, an article which quoted someone from the Obama camp I believe making the claim that Bush’s speechwriters (yes, he invoked the name) had written it and the speech was the same as the ones we had been hearing for the last 8 years. After hearing your ridiculous assertion, I went back and they had changed the article. that’s when I posted 72. I checked again and it was different again. Unlike The Golden Calf’s speech which was the same tripe that has been read to the country for the last 40 by every single Democrat that has come down the pike.
We already have a Dem run House and Senate. What is it, exactly, that they have done since getting placed there two years ago? Are Liberals and others planning for TGC really that gullible and devoid of rational thought not to see through this? Do they really think that the only thing holding them back from completely reworking something that isn’t broke…namely our Government, is George Bush?

I noticed this right away on FOX News after the speech, I think it was Mort, than that horrid woman on the panel… they BOTH talked about how someone else wrote her speech. I’ve never heard them say that after a *male* politician spoke. C’mon! You think Barack Hussein Obama writes his own speeches?
This is nothing but a sexist, assault by the RINOs and Democrats: They cannot stand it that Palin was so powerful… so confident… so intelligent… so qualified to be President (Yes, I’m hoping McCain keels over after the election). Palin has got to be the greatest political orator since Reagan and I bet she will be a *greater* president than Reagan.
Palin had her speech written for her just like all politicians, but she came off like a pro even when she had to improvise. It is obvious Obama has all his speeches written for him and on teleprompter. The difference is Obama can’t think of anything to say when the teleprompter quits working. Palin has had more experience in dealing with real world situations and knows how to answer questions and speak without a teleprompter.
Attacking her for using a speechwriter would be crazy. Attacking her for using Bush’s speechwriter: Totally in bounds.
I think my Reverend Wright example perfectly illustrates this. Who cares that people write Obama’s speeches. But if Reverend Wright had written one, oh boy, you’d be pissed.
This isn’t attacking the presence of the writer. It’s attacking a writer who worked for a politician who is loathed by two-thirds of the population.
The inability to recognize the distinction is willful ignorance because you so badly want to believe Governor Palin is being attacked on all sides for no reason. Nevermind that she was in a secessionist party, wanted to ban books from a public library, is a proven liar (She was a Bridge to Nowhere supporter), and has faced corruption scandals.
It’s all about Bristol and her speechwriter. Riiiight.
(BTW, I thought the speech was ok. She got in some great zingers, but she didn’t really flesh out what she would bring to the ticket. She just talked about McCain’s heroism. Boring. McCain does that on his own any chance he gets.)
