    At the end of the day, the Democratic party in 2008 has conceded nothing to pro-life Democrats. The fact that Sen. Obama listens respectfully to pro-lifers without calling them reactionary dunces does not constitute progress. Results and behavior are what matter.

    No, it’s more the Democrat party has abandoned it’s traditional base of hard working everyday American families in favor of communist/socialist/elitist non-producing parasites.

    They are relying on the loyalty of union workers and “we’ve always voted Dem” people that are willing to accept any government intrusion into their personal lives because the party says it’s better than George Bush the Fascist.

    Vince, if you can, talk to those Caholic friends and explain why voting for the Democratic ticket violates the Church teaching on abortion.

    In voting for Obama they will be formally cooperating with evil, as they have a clear choice with the pro life candidate, John McCain.

    According to the Magisterium, to vote in formal cooperation with evil is a mortal sin.

    I’ve signed up to volunteer for the McCain-Palin ticket. One of the ways to help is to host an event, in which one can discuss the candidate’s position and why it’s better than the alternative. So, I’m going to host one (at home, naturally), and invite some Catholics who may be unsure or sitting on the fence about this election, so that we can come to an understanding why a conscientious Catholic cannot vote for a pro abortion candidate when a pro life one is available.

    For those that have any doubt the smears are coming from the Obama camp, this article in the American Thinker provides some insight:

    Obama trashed his primary opponent, Brent Hull, in the US Senate Race in Illinios when Hull’s sealed divorce records were “leaked” to the press.

    Obama then went on to benefit from Jack Ryan dropping out of the general election wieh Ryan’s sealed divorce records were magically unsealed suring the race.

    Obama then used threats against super delegates to run oppononets against them in their own primary elections if they supported Hillary Clinton.

    And during this entire run of “coincidental serendipity” David Axelrod served as Obama’s campaign guru. Axelrod is a member of the MSM, having worked at the Chicago Tribune for 8 years before becoming Richard Daley’s “political consultant”.

    And now Obama claims that conincidence has followed him once again, and he has nothing to do with the Palin smears? Think again.

This is the stuff of real human love; this is the raw material of family life. And those who think that Palin’s beliefs and family struggles are funny or worth jeering at, simply reveal the venality of their own hearts.

    Actually, I think marjiuana was legal at some point in Alaska and she admitted to smoking it. She also made a crack about Bill Clinton not inhaling. That was reported the day or the day after she was announced as VP candidate.

    Of course she never ADVOCATED drugs, even though she may have experimented.

    The left is just really innately, intellectually dishonest..

    They used to care when we noticed, now they are just openly proud of their idiocy.

    My mother is one of many Democrats who have switched to Sarah Palin. She realizes an attack on Palin, is an attack on her and everything she believes.

    That was an excellent read. Folks, since you’re online I bet a lot of you have hometown newspapers that feature blogs as we do here in Houston. Are you noticing that much like the Obama campaign not having to dirty its hands while the media promotes his oppo research, that the editorials and features only mention what is being promoted on the blogs? We had three solid days of the Palin baby fiasco presented on the left blogs of the Chronicle that also allow the hosts to screen posts that respond negatively to the BS. Looks like a pre-cursor to the Fairness Doctrine.

    You can count me in that group too. Although I took my time about it, I’ve seen the difference for a lot longer than I’ve been an “R”.

    Worst still, I seen the dumbing down of the school age children (K-12) to the point of automatons. I thank God I (we, I mean) had the means to send our daughter to private schools for 12 yrs. At least she was spared most of the silliness.

    1) Democrat Party first, no matter the cost;

    2) socialism, no matter the cost;

    3) afford terrorist entities US Constitutional rights, no matter the cost;

    4) second, third, and fourth chances for career criminals, no matter the cost;

    5) free speech for liberal causes only…no one else has anything “constructive” to add to the discussion;

    6) hypocracy ONLY applies to the Republican Party, since the Democrat Party believes in winning at any cost;

    7) equality for (some) Jews, with many exceptions;

    8) evoke “Christianity” only when it comes in negative terms, and advances the above priorities;

    9) submission to all non-American cultures, including peace at any cost;

    10) America first, unless it infringes on all of the above.

    Sarah Palin will be a great start to the process of getting rid of the destroyers of American freedoms, traditions, and ideals. She has shown that she puts America First!!!

The church has long ago given up a position of moral authority. By championing positions like welcoming illegals and believing in global warming, they fail to see the consequences of their actions. At first one wonders why the left is so adamant about Mrs. Palin gaining the Vice Presidency. It’s not because her energy policies are so much better thought out and realistic than Obama’s “inflate your tires” solution, it’s not that she actually has multiple examples of executive experience when Obama hasn’t even bothered to chair his own committee… it’s that she’s doing it without their consent!
