“Isn’t it ironic that most major newspapers will not print the names of minors involved in criminal acts including murder, but they can trash Bristol Palin? Just proves the drive-by media is driven to despicable double standards.”

Thacker, YOU may “cringe” at associating being pregnant with a crime, clearly the media considers it a crime for the children of people who preach family values to get pregnant.

The other irony is that the media, from news and TV to music and movies (as well as our “schools”), constantly undermine any moral values parents may try to teach and as any good sociologist will tell you, these “socializing agents” directly impact on the behavior people find acceptable and unacceptable, parents being a part, a big part, but only a part, of the influence on how young people act.

I have two teenage sons and one is definitely drawn into the nonsense of the media/education/entertainment concept of values free education and moral free entertainment, despite my teaching and discipline. I suppose if he does something stupid I should stop talking about morals and values, eh?

The boy comes home one day and says “art is freedom” and is constantly whining about being “judged”: he did not learn this at home and I directly confront that, in a calm, logical manner, but he hears me maybe an hour a day (I actually DO spend time with my sons) while hearing the OTHER message ALL THE TIME!

Here is the REAL headline, folks: Parents Teach Values, Liberal Media and Education Undermines Parents, Tragic Results Abound!

I fail to see how anyone exercising even a modicum of logic and reason can fail to reach the conclusion that this smear campaign is comming from within Obama’s camp. The attacks are SO partisan, SO outrageous, SO biased and SO coodinated, there can be no other conclusion. Obama is the only one that benefits from this.

And for those unaware of Obama’s prior campaigns, this is precisely the same tactic that knocked out his competition in prior political races. He claimed he had nothing to do with Ryan’s sealed divorce records being opened, nor anything to do with the records of another one of his rivals seeing the light of day during a heated campaign. And what about getting his entire opposition slate disqualified via a the technicality of the signatures on their nominating petitions? You may dismiss this happening once as coincidence, but unfortunately for Obama, it is a pattern that has persisted over and over again in his run for political office.
Dirty tricks for a dirty politician. Interesting that he can’t seem to win much of anything without a well coordinated smear campaign. Speaks volumes about the substance of the man behind that carefully managed facade.

Besides the Daily Show, many of those posters on the “fringe” blogs get their “news” from these websites. Now, that’s scary. Because of circumstances beyond my control I am working the overnight shift temporarily, therefore I am watching that show for amusement purposes. This show attracts a lot of women who are swing voters that we need to attract our way to keep the Marxist BO out of office.

I have watched the show for 2 days now and it is incredible how ignorant Behar is; whether it purposeful or just an indicator of her complete ignorance I can’t answer. I go with the ignorant assumption, she does not seem to be a bright person.

Examples of her Gaffes and/or Lies from 2 days of observing

    1. Sen. Olympia Snowe is a Senator from Vermont????
    2. Sen McCain flip-flopped because he now favors drilling in ANBAR????????(PS that’s in Iraq)
    3. Gov. Palin is under indictment in Alaska?????

Someone needs to call her out for outright stupidity and to prep Ms. Hasselback better on the facts to counter her inane ramblings.

The viewers of this show are a key demo we need to make some inroads, if we want to defeat the neo-Marxists.

OK, done venting, have a good day!!

Any Republican candidate for office must go into it with the assumption that the media are going to act like Lou Gossett Jr.’s Drill Instructor character in the movie “An Officer and a Gentleman:”

“I will use every means at my disposal, fair or unfair, to trip you up as a potential candidate and as a human being! The price at the other end is political office, but first you have to get past me!”

Or for those too young to remember the 80s, there’s Senior Drill Instructor and Career Sergeant Zim from the movie “Starship Troopers:”

“Any time you think I’m being too hard; any time you think I’m being unfair; any time you miss your mommy … Quit!! You sign Form 1248, you grab your gear, you take a stroll down ‘Washout Lane!’ Do you get me?!?”

That which does not kill me makes me stronger. The hidden benefit to blatant media favoritism for donkeys is that it toughens the Republican candidates who survive. They’re much better prepared for hard questions than donkey candidates can ever hope to be, and it shows when it counts the most.

Train like you fight; fight like you train. It’s as true in the hurly-burly of politics as it is on the battlefield. The media think they’re doing the donkeys by playing patty-cake with them while they savage Republicans, but in the end it’s the Republicans who they unwittingly end up helping.

Wait for the debates. Watch Hopenchange and Biden stammer, stutter and crumble like chalk while McCain and Palin come across like Stonewall Jackson at Bull Run. You might almost be grateful for the results of the media bias.

I think one of the reasons none of the women on the left are speaking out is because they don’t want a pro-life woman in the white house and they will compromise any common decency to keep abortion legal.

Have you seen Hopenchange’s daughters? If one of them turned up pregnant I’d be pretty amazed and very sad.

Of course not. It would be about how the Obamas don’t have values and how it’s another black single mother.

We see in others what we carry in our own hearts. You’re making the common liberal logical error of attributing to others characteristics you wish they’d have, rather than what’s actually there. In other words, you’re projecting.

    Check of proof:

    1. As a general rule, if a prominent liberal suffers from some misfortune (e.g., Paul Wellstone’s death or Ted Kennedy’s brain tumor) the conservative response is ordinarily to exhort others to “Include him in your prayers.”

    2. Liberals, on the other hand, often react with glee and malice to the same kind of thing happening to a conservative (e.g., Laura Ingraham’s cancer or Tony Snow’s death or Dick Cheney’s heart condition).

    3. Remember in September of 2004, when Bill Clinton had a heart attack? When the news was broken at a Bush campaign event, the AP reporter there claimed that Republicans in the audience “booed” at the news. A tape recording of the event later proved that no such reaction took place. But it sounded like what the reporter wished that Republicans would do, so he lied.

Stop projecting onto others what you carry in your own heart. It doesn’t make you look good.

Obviously, I can’t speak for everyone, but I don’t think that would happen with the majority of us here. All of these hypotheticals aren’t going to prove anything, so let’s deal with reality. Besides, if one of their daughters got pregnant, we might not know about it because of Obama’s statement about “punishment” and pregnancy.
