Isn’t it ironic that the MSM won’t say that Gov Palin’s ex-Brother-in-law is a spouse and child abuser, but they usually assume a Guilty until proven innocent attitude when a Conservative is accused of such things.
While I appreciate the sentiment, I cringe at associating being pregnant with committing a crime. Of course I guess considering it a crime would be better than considering pregnancy to be a ‘disease’ that needs to be ‘cured’ with an abortion (medical procedure you know).
The U.S. media is ultra low quality, low intellect operation that maintains itself through scandal, sensationalism, intimidation and fear. This disgusting money driven enterprise should be constantly challenged and exposed until its credibility and utility are nil.
I have to believe that this stuff will come back to them ten-fold. According to some on this blog, these are just fringe left bloggers putting this stuff out there, not legitimate news organizations. Ha!

I think its more sad that they refuse to ask Obama a single tough question. His non answers are suppose to be countered by the press but instead they bask in idolation of him.
The press was accused by the left of being in the tank with Bush and starting the Iraqi war. Now they are over compensating and litterally rolling over for the democrats.

A friend e-mailed me this morning that they’re using her boyfriend’s MySpace page to smear Bristol and belittle her pregnancy and pending marriage. The MSM is rabid to protect Obama!

The media acts as if this is the only time a person has become pregnant outside of marriage (how many times for Brangelina is it going to happen and the media pays $14 mil for the pictures). But when another child of a candidate, that rhymes with Boe Jiden, is being investigated for a variety of charges it’s “La La La, but, but, her daughter’s pregnant and not married.”
I know that you are supposed to keep your friends close but your enemies closer, but I just cant make myself take enough showers everyday to wash the stench off of me.
Some have pointed out that a teen pregnancy and a crime committed by a juvenile are not the same. That’s true. The teen pregnancy is a private matter and shouldn’t be publicized by the press – a crime is a public issue and worthy to be printed in order to make the community aware of potential danger if the perpetrator has not been caught.

The other irony is that the media, from news and TV to music and movies (as well as our “schools”), constantly undermine any moral values parents may try to teach and as any good sociologist will tell you, these “socializing agents” directly impact on the behavior people find acceptable and unacceptable, parents being a part, a big part, but only a part, of the influence on how young people act.
I have two teenage sons and one is definitely drawn into the nonsense of the media/education/entertainment concept of values free education and moral free entertainment, despite my teaching and discipline. I suppose if he does something stupid I should stop talking about morals and values, eh?
The boy comes home one day and says “art is freedom” and is constantly whining about being “judged”: he did not learn this at home and I directly confront that, in a calm, logical manner, but he hears me maybe an hour a day (I actually DO spend time with my sons) while hearing the OTHER message ALL THE TIME!

He was just on FOX and said he had received a few e-mails from Dem friends who are not liking this to warn him that the agenda is to take her down and make her quit the ticket in two weeks. I fail to see how anyone exercising even a modicum of logic and reason can fail to reach the conclusion that this smear campaign is comming from within Obama’s camp. The attacks are SO partisan, SO outrageous, SO biased and SO coodinated, there can be no other conclusion. Obama is the only one that benefits from this.
And for those unaware of Obama’s prior campaigns, this is precisely the same tactic that knocked out his competition in prior political races. He claimed he had nothing to do with Ryan’s sealed divorce records being opened, nor anything to do with the records of another one of his rivals seeing the light of day during a heated campaign. And what about getting his entire opposition slate disqualified via a the technicality of the signatures on their nominating petitions? You may dismiss this happening once as coincidence, but unfortunately for Obama, it is a pattern that has persisted over and over again in his run for political office.
Dirty tricks for a dirty politician. Interesting that he can’t seem to win much of anything without a well coordinated smear campaign. Speaks volumes about the substance of the man behind that carefully managed facade.

This whole smear campaign has taken a criminal turn as I hear someone has stolen Sarah Palin’s social security number. The corruption in the media, the slanders, and now criminality. Think about why they do this. A vice presidential candidate’s minor daughter being pregnant is newsworthy. There is no way to cover the name.

Also, media outlets won’t name minors accused of crimes if they’re juveniles…16 or under. Bristol is 17. If she murdered someone, she’d be named.
I’m pretty sure they don’t publish the names of minor offenders because law enforcement doesn’t release the names. They can’t publish the name if they don’t know what it is.
There’s a difference between being “newsworthy,” and being the object of scorched Earth campaign of personal destruction.

That which does not kill me makes me stronger. The hidden benefit to blatant media favoritism for donkeys is that it toughens the Republican candidates who survive. They’re much better prepared for hard questions than donkey candidates can ever hope to be, and it shows when it counts the most.
Train like you fight; fight like you train. It’s as true in the hurly-burly of politics as it is on the battlefield. The media think they’re doing the donkeys by playing patty-cake with them while they savage Republicans, but in the end it’s the Republicans who they unwittingly end up helping.
Wait for the debates. Watch Hopenchange and Biden stammer, stutter and crumble like chalk while McCain and Palin come across like Stonewall Jackson at Bull Run. You might almost be grateful for the results of the media bias.

We see in others what we carry in our own hearts. You’re making the common liberal logical error of attributing to others characteristics you wish they’d have, rather than what’s actually there. In other words, you’re projecting.
