Yeah, good point. But the media is so blind they can’t see anything that doesn’t fit their agenda.
It’s a shame we can’t have fact based journalism in a country with freedom of the press. The press uses that freedom to advance an agenda rather than inform the public.

Not just that we didn’t see, but that we will never see. Nor will we see one about the Terrorist/Obama connection, nor the Biden/Racist connection or anything else that might allow people to know that Obama is the worst person that this country could ever think to elect as President, who should have no business being where he is.
We know less about him than we do about Gov. Palin, and it is simply due to the MSM failure at what used to be heir tenets.
Until Obama comes out and chastises all these attacks and calls them the lies and slander and libel that they are, he shows that he in complicit in them and should be viewed as such.
Simply coming on TV once and saying that families are off likits is simply not enough, and these new attack rags coming out daily, as well as the sites that donate money to his campaign and their efforts to slime Gov. Palin and her family are proof.
He needs to return any and all funds he has received from any of these sites and do so publicly and with a statement as to why, such as, “I refuse to accept money from people who would committ such attacks against a woman and her family simply for partisan politics”.
He shows that he is not for change…he shows that he is for ramping up the same, stale, tired old attacks that they are famous for.
John Edwards was out of the news when his scandal happened. Sarah Palin was introduced to a national audience when it was announced her daughter was preggers.
Magazines are used to make money. John Edwards won’t move copy months after he dropped out of the race. Sarah Palin, currently on the minds of the entire country, will.

On a serious note, everyone I’ve talked to, no matter what their affiliation, is planning on watching Mrs. Palin tonight, including a number that I doubt ever watch a convention speech. I can’t wait. I expect her to be terrific, and I expect to see some fascinatingly varied reviews tomorrow.

Some Dem on Fox just came out and claimed that it is not sexist to be making the statements they are concerning her being VP AND a mother…yet not so when they ignore the same with men.
He is also claiming she is wrong because she was talking abortion when she should have been talking about roads etc.
They can’t stand her because she is a threat to everything they are…and she should be. It is just too bad that the same cannot be said about McCain.
They have not a single leg to stand on when pitting her against both Obama and Biden COMBINED. This is why all the personaly attacks and why they are doing everything they can to make her say, “Enough” and leave.
She is the Liberals worst nightmare…a real woman who is strong, accomplished, self-made and can do all she has done and still raise a family and remain married to her high school sweetheart.
She goes against the lessons they are trying to force down our and our children’s throats…that fathers don’t matter, that divorce is acceptable and welcome, that abortion should be done on each and every teen and woman that gets pregnant etc.
What will really destroy their little bubble will be when the father of her daughter;s child marries her after the RNC as originally planned, instead of becomming just another “welfare” mom, blaming Republicans for the inabilit to take responsibility for her own actions and accepting the consequences.

I hate to tell them, but we think Biden is the biggest joke out there and by far, should not be allowed to EVER sit behind the desk in the Oval Office. Hell, he doesn’t even think he can visit a Dunkin Doughnuts or a 7-11.

Obama came out today and said he had more executive experience than Palin because he runs his household. He knows about crafting a budget b/c he is responsible for paying the kids’ allowences.

Last night Olberman broke into the coverage to report that an elderly woman at the convention (forget her title) accidentally called Sarah Palin, Sarah Pawlenty. Meanwhile, Biden talked about getting Obama in Pakistan. Why do I think that won’t get any play?

Why would I want to? That’s a dense topic.
My belief that Roe may have been wrongly decided has nothing to do with my support for abortion rights nor does it matter much in the way of dealing with abortion pragmatically.
If Roe were overturned, most states would still have legal abortion, some states wouldn’t, and there’d be plenty of volunteers to move people from one to the other.
If this story hadn’t broken and Edwards was selected for VP, it absolutely would have been a front page story in every major news and media outlet for weeks.
Edwards didn’t make the cover of US because he is, at this point, on his way to becoming the answer to a trivia question.
Admittedly, so is Governor Palin — “Who is the Gerry Ferraro of the Republican Party?” But, in the mean time, she’s on her way to accepting the Republican nomination for Vice President and is therefore news.
Not that US is a newsmagazine, or could even really be considered part of the MSM. They’re just good capitalists, trying to turn a buck.
I know it’s weird, but that’s exactly right. Palin is incredibly newsworthy right now, so more attention goes her way. Same goes for Obama, Biden, McCain, Brad Pitt, Angelie Jolie, etc.
If Palin wasn’t selected when this news broke, no one would care. But she was put in the spotlight and that spotlight is going to last for a while.
