I heard about a convention attendee wearing a shirt that simply stated “I am Sarah Palin”. Hearing this a light bulb went on. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the McCain camp rolled out an “I am Sarah Palin” ad campaign? It would simply be a series of commercials that show a woman describing herself, like “I am a mom of 2 children, I am a wife, I am a PTA volunteer, I am a team mom, I am a marketing executive, I am a Democrat, etc” then the tag line, the woman says “I am Sarah Palin.”
They could have a series of women of different ages and different races giving their story, all saying in the end, “I am Sarah Palin.”
I would love to see these ads, it would drive the lefty feminists CRAZY.

Palin wakes up the far-right but alienates the independent voter which McCain desperately needed. Conservatives were going to vote for McCain anyway, only now they won’t have to hold their noses.
And I find it ironic that given the convention them of “Country First”, McCain picking Palin was a Karl Rove said “a campaign decision” not a “governing decision”. Not to mention Palin’s affiliation with a Alaska first, country second political movement.
Well, rather than “back off,” I’d like to ask, in what areas am I allowed to question Gov. Palin?
Am I allowed ask about her immigration policies, or lack thereof?
Am I allowed to ask about her lack of experience in terms of foreign policy and military affairs? Don’t give me the typical fallacious answer that “well, she has more than Obama.” My toddler is more qualified to attend kindergarten than a newborn, but that doesn’t mean he’s qualified. I care not about Obama. Convince me, on her own merits, that she’s qualified in this area.
Am I allowed to ask about her philosophies in terms of state vs. federal gov’t roles? Taxation? Purpose of gov’t? Social security?
Am I allowed to ask these questions? I’m not limited to voting either Democrat or Republican here, so don’t tell me that “she’s better than Obama.” I want to hear why she’s qualified. In that sense, no, I won’t just “back off.”

I’m a NPA Conservative. I wasn’t planning on voting for McCain until last Friday. Now I’m voting for Palin. McCain dies (not wishing, but the man is old), she’s in. Four years, and McCain doesn’t run again (hoping, the man is OLD), and Palin runs, she’s in like Flint. Eight years, and Palin is a landslide victor running as POS!
No class in that action at all. I can guarantee you I won’t be watching.

This woman is what we have needed in the White House for decades– a regular citizen who knows what it’s like to live a normal middle class life with kids and school and hockey practice.
I’m reminded of that scene in the movie “Mr. Mom” from years ago when the wife is at her first meeting in her new job and her boss says “You’re fresh from the trenches of consumerism, what do you think?” And then she proceed to come up with a winning idea for an ad campaign. That’s one of the things I see Gov. Palin bringing to the ticket. She’s one of us, male or female, we ARE all Sarah Palin.

Not too long ago, I wasn’t sure I’d even bother to get out of bed on election day. Now, I won’t miss this election for anything.

I don’t listen to political figures all that much, I have learned over the years that they will say anything to get elected so I look at thier past actions. Obama missed almost 45% of the senates votes since he came to the senate. That to me is very telling. That and his history and who he chooses to assicate with tell me all about the guy. McCain is well, McCain. Binden just just another insider in washington. You get them in both parties. Palin is something new. Her history is shorter than McCain and Bidens but it impresses me more. He history is much longer that Obamas and much more impressive.
