I heard about a convention attendee wearing a shirt that simply stated “I am Sarah Palin”. Hearing this a light bulb went on. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the McCain camp rolled out an “I am Sarah Palin” ad campaign? It would simply be a series of commercials that show a woman describing herself, like “I am a mom of 2 children, I am a wife, I am a PTA volunteer, I am a team mom, I am a marketing executive, I am a Democrat, etc” then the tag line, the woman says “I am Sarah Palin.”
They could have a series of women of different ages and different races giving their story, all saying in the end, “I am Sarah Palin.”
I would love to see these ads, it would drive the lefty feminists CRAZY.

Spoke to Hugh Hewitt on radio row. He’s getting deluged with phone calls from women listeners, all saying that they’re appalled by the attacks on Sarah Palin. One has already printed up a t-shirt that says, “I AM SARAH PALIN. HER STORY IS MY STORY. BACK OFF.”
Some enterprising printer ought to consider mass-producing that, I think…

I happened to see the clip on Cavuto as well. If you has watched the Greta show Tuesday night, Laura and Cindy also knew of Gov Palin and had met with her way before the decision time. They were giddy.
There is three things that are important when selecting a Presidential ticket, character, character and character. I find Obama-Obiden sadly lacking on all three counts.
I’m beginning to feel used by this VP pick. It like the GOP made a horrible mistake, won’t admit it, and as a defense is in full blown victim mode. Everyday more and more evidence piles up that not even a cursory vetting was done. And while I share most of Palin’s politics (which don’t jive very well with the neocon party leadership), it really seems the enthusiasm is contained to the conservative base who before this, hated McCain, and are willing to overlook all of the problems with this pick. We’re not seeing PDS, we’re seeing utter bewilderment, and trying to cloak it with victimization or how we can ‘relate’ to having a hockey mom in the White House is NOT gonna cut it.

Tom DeLay’s quote that Michelle has at top of this blogline refers to Republican women being the “sleeping giant” – I think there are a few of us Republican men that have been “called to arms” in the last 72 hours or so as well – Go get ‘em , Sarah !!
Funny, I was just on hotair, and watched the vidoe of what appears to be JSM taking a nice look 10 to be exact at our little Sarah’s booty.
You know, the more I think about it, why would the libs on this blog and constantly repeat the same arguments(check the threads)and tell us how horrible it was for McCain to pick Palin? I have come to the conclusion that they are only here to rain on our parade. At the end of 2005, a close friend called to say that he begun writing speeches and talking points for a certain gubernatorial candidate.
“Remind me,” I asked. “Who is Sarah Palin?”
I was dismayed at my friend’s choice of political entree. Why was he wasting his time on a relative nobody, trying to beat an incumbent governor (and former three term senator) in the Republican primary? It was utter folly. “Wait until the big money starts coming in for Murkowski,” I said. “Wait until the party machinery goes to work on Palin. They will eat her for lunch.”
Murkowski, for his part, expressed a similar view. “If I decide to,” he said, “I will run and I will win. It’s that simple.”
The folly, of course, turned out to be my own (and Murkowski’s), as Palin slaughtered the incumbent in the primary–posting a 30 point margin of victory–and went on to win the general (over a former Democratic governor) without seeming to break a sweat. She then quickly fulfilled an implicit campaign promise by slapping down ExxonMobil, BP, and ConocoPhillips in negotiations over a proposed Alaska natural gas pipeline, even though they, too, by all accounts, were well prepared to dine on her tender little frame. Not bad for a lightweight.

When we were stationed at Travis AFB, CA my wife swore she would never vote again due to the courts throwing out Prop 187. With the announcement of Sarah Palin as the VP for the grumpy old man my wife was energized to actually go out yesterday and registered to vote and will finally accompany me to the polls on November 4th. As long as Sarah Palin is the VP nominee I have decided to take one for the team check out a chemical warfare suit and vote for the grumpy old man instead of for none of the above. Needless to say adding this extraordinary woman to the ticket has made a huge difference in our household.
The Democrats and their MSM allies have done a fine job of energizing the women of our local community. I guess they never put too much stock in the old saying, “If mama ain’t happy nobody is happy.” Most of the women I know are really pissed off at the attacks on the Governor and especially her 17 year old daughter not that the 4 Electoral College votes of Idaho are going to anyone with a D behind their name to begin with.
Comments will be light for me over the next couple of weeks. Fiscal year closeout is coming requiring lots of extra hours at the base through 30 September. Our community also has the annual Air Force Appreciation Day this weekend with a two day air show next weekend called “Gunfighter Skies 2009.” Hopefully the Thunderbirds won’t be demonstrating how to crash land an F-16 while almost taking out the control tower this time around. I’ll keep enjoying all your comments from work where I can’t comment any more. Stay safe folks!

In a campaign season that started so early, that is recent.
One thing to consider…how many Republican candidates emphatically said John McCain wasn’t ready to lead during the “doesn’t count” primaries?
Pretty damning to have your own VP on recent record as saying (and reaffirming, when questioned) that you “aren’t ready to lead”. Tell me, does this stuff even register when you are an Obama worshiper, or does the constant genuflection make you forget?

I have heard of it happening, actually I *think* the story was on this blog a while back. I can’t find any stories about it after a cursory Google but I seem to remember it had something to do with the 2004 election. But yes, I am certain they have done so, just can’t find the specific story.
