I have to laugh, I live in Chicago (on the south side), and I know what a community organizer is.
A community organizer is the crony of someone who’s politically connected.
There is enough grant money to keep said crony employed, provide a car and enough cash to attend meetings(parties) where all organizers can politicians can slap each other on the back and lie to each other about how much they are doing for the community.
It has nothing to do with communities, it has everything to do with the accumulation and consolidation of political power.
I was an amateur who applied for a grant once, the sleaze solidified my belief that our governments money is wasted on such enterprises.

We are currently stationed in what could be characterized as a far-left part of the country.
I was at the endodontists’ today, and all the women were talking about Gov Palin’s speech, and how awesome she was and how they identified with her.
Then the talk turned to how the Dems are trying to act all offended that her speech was “sarcastic”.
One lady pointed out: Team Obama started down the road of sarcasm when they called her a “small town mayor” to diminish her record.
Turnabout is fair play, and they can’t handle it.
These women also pointed out that it is true, just “what” does a “community organizer” actually accomplish? If that’s the bar, they stated they ALL have more “experience” than Obama.
Let’s not forget about the “secret” meeting Obama had with Fox (Ailes & Murdoch) to whine about the coverage he was getting in comparison to CNN/MSNBC.
If he can’t handle the scrutiny, he needs to stay at home. It was a result of this meeting that he ended up on O’Reilly’s show, after dissing Fox in the beginning.
Typical of the Obama team — always out of step and behind the power curve and scrambling to catch up. Hope they “catch up” Nov 6th.

Nobody was laughing or mocking Community Organizers. What we were laughing at and mocking was the fact that TGC was using that as an example of why he should be President and that it made him better prepared than being a city council member, mayor and governor.
These people couldn’t be honest if their children’s lives depended on it. You know, the ones lucky enough not to be aborted and made it through the parent that still wanted it dead after living through an abortion.

Someone needs to put it all together and expose Obama for what he truly is. He is a radical Marxist that professes the redistribution of wealth and a socialist state where the masses are taxed beyond reason and the government controls every aspect of your life. He is Machiavellian in nature and is wiling to pay any price and commit any act to assume power. He is the antithesis of our democracy. People had better wake up before this once great nation becomes a socialist state and the people become a mindless hoard of dependent zombies. I saw that pathetic excuse for an interview between BOR and BO and I wasn’t impressed. BOR tried to press and keep the momentum going. Can this guy not whine about anything? That’s all we’ve heard him do between “uhs” and “ums.” I still don’t see how anyone can think he is a great thinker and/or speaker. Most of my junior high students like Obama because they say he seems more like them. Truth be told, I’d rather have just about any of those 13 to 14 year-olds running this country. I can explain in less than 40 minutes how economics work on the federal level, and they’ll understand better than BHO could ever hope to in his lifetime. It isn’t rocket science, yet people buy this B.S. because Obama is just so “hip” and cool. Gag. Even the in the letter Michelle posted above he sounds ignorant and arrogant… good news is, Sarah Palin has him on the ropes. Why else would he be so desperate to raise funds (not to mention finally admit the surge is working, threaten to go after GW Bush in criminal proceedings, up the ante on McCain ads linking him with the Bush administration, etc)? He knows he’s in trouble and he’s pandering in every direction he can. Anyone who can’t see through this con act by now has been guzzling the kool-aid by the barrel.

Community Organizers who help people get back on their feet and living productive lives free of government handouts is what I would support.
Community Organizers who are more like Community Agitators who make people feel even more miserable so that they will cry and demand even more handouts (which, of course gets funneled through the community organizers fingers) is not the type of organizer I would support.
I have a feeling that the latter is Obama’s type of ‘organizer’.
Barry has not decided yet which persona he is going to adopt. He used to be comfortable in being the Anointed One, but lately he and wifey are trying hard to be regular folks, ala-Mr. and Mrs. Brady!

had a conversation with my young impressionable step-son last night. He was very bitter. conversation turned to TH ONE’s present votes, I opined that I interpreted them as “I don’t agree with my party, but am too chickensh!t to say no”. Game over point, set, match!!!
I hadn’t heard that Palin got more viewers but I did see on some of the Obamedia that they both had 40,000,000 viewers of their speeches.
So, the brand new VP candidate of the GOP got as many viewers of her speech as the Obamessiah on the Dem’s ticket. You know that has to hurt The One‘s feelings. He has had over a year and a half to stir his popularity and she comes out in less than two weeks and ties him. Ouch!
