Now, it’s her hair

Photoshop: David Lunde
Yes, there’s a newspaper that actually paid a staffer to write an article about Gov. Sarah Palin’s “outdated” hair.
As opposed to Silky Pony’s?
Crikey on steroids. Next, they’ll be examining her teeth and handbag choices. Oh, and perhaps that Washington Post style who savaged John Roberts’ family for their fashion sense will attack the Palin kids’ shoe styles.
They just can’t help themselves:
Yes, Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin has a lot on her plate: a pregnant teen daughter, a son on his way to Iraq, an infant with Down syndrome and a looming national election.
But must her hair suffer? With her long, straight, often pinned-up locks, Palin looks one humid day away from fronting a Kiss cover band.
“It’s about 20 years out of date,” said Boston stylist Mario Russo of the Alaska governor’s ’do. “Which goes to show how off she might be on current events.”
Palin Derangement Syndrome. It’s what’s for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Sun? That “paper” makes the National Inquirer look like the Economist.
I think they are just buttering her up so she’ll be one of her Page 3 Girls.
If you don’t know what that it, don’t google it at work.
her = their
People like that get their politics from E!, People, and US Weekly.
And before you go thinking the British and/or the Sun are all super classy, check out some of their other headline’s:
“Pregnant Palin’s Redneck Lover”
“Welcome to the Family, Redneck”
I agree with you Laree. It’s the “cool crowd” when the country boy comes to the party. It’s all condescension and snide remarks among themselves like, “Oh,and just look at those shoes. Snicker, snicker.” This is of course mere seconds before country boy slaps the stupid off someone’s face.
Mario, not Maria? nuff said.
In Idaho my wife and I can spot a liberal by their hair style. If they’re over 50 it will be short to medium length with gray streaks. It seems to be important to look like you don’t care about you appearance. Conservative woman always look better.
However, CNN’s highly *caugh* respectable *caugh*, objective “news” agency did manage to compliment Palin’s derriere
No one claims the Sun is “classy” as you put it. It’s simply nice to hear positive things about Sarah. Is that so wrong? Buzzkill.
Now that’s classy!
For a group of people who claim that Sarah’s nomination is good thing (for their side) they sure are riled up.
One more example of the no win situation. So she did her own hair instead of being coiffed. Had she used a hairdresser, the comment would have been, she had a makeover.
She doesn’t need botox and they are just nuts.
I got up this morning and could smell the fear! LOL.
The Kossacks have lost it, and I mean even worse than before. Someone on there made a comment that a “Rove appointee” had over ruled prosecuting some idiots in a supposed assassination plot against Obama. I guess I missed the part where Rove was appointing judges.
http://www.americanarmed.blogspot.com
attack Palin you attack most American mothers
btw: I love her hair! How much you wanna bet it comes back in style?
I heard on Paul Harvey (comes on Right before Rush here) that her eyeglass style is selling well these days.
Um, has anyone noticed how appalling “current” hairstyles are?
I think Sarah is perfectly lovely just as she is and shudder to think what a “trendy” stylist would do to her.
Epic win.
I’m so glad that the media has the hair stylists on call for this stuff. I was beginning to wonder how on earth I was going to decide who to vote for…
Yes 30, it is.
I mentioned yesterday that I thought the WaPo would be reporting on her clothes. I wasn’t far off.
Are women peeved yet at being treated this way?
Ps – note to Michelle, boo on the multiple pages…
I have to admit that my first comment as she walked out on stage last night was: “I wish she’d let her hair down…” I’m hoping she’ll soon make an appearance and her hair will be down and stylish. When she does, jaws will drop. There’ll be a collective “HELL-O!” from all of us.
In the meantime, she’s got great skin, pretty eyes, a great smile, a NICE figure……so I can deal with the current hairstyle. (Great hair…..not crazy about the style…) It’s common knowledge that little boys think girls are ‘icky’. But Sarah Palin is the kind of woman that even makes little boys stop and think: “…..WOW!….”
A position conservatives and liberals alike can get behind.
I think it’s safe to say that many women, especially conservatives, are pi**ed.
Troll complaining that there are equally crazy people on the right doing the same thing against the Dems in 3…2…1
Well, she did bare her teeth quite a bit during the speech…

Both links point to the same old Blog post. Where was this actually written?
navywife
My wife and daughters believe the opposition attacks to Palin are more vicious if they are women. Is that your observation? My male friends and I can slap each other around and be buddies the next day. My girls say that’s not possible with women.
Yeah, let’s talk about hair, since Biden has a beautiful head of….no wait…recall, recall, take back the talking points!
Huh. My wife says the same thing.
I think women tend to be a little more sensitive. I sure don’t see guys standing around talking about each other like women/girls do. We can get “catty” and it’s hard for us to forgive because we do take the criticism so personally. I think men have a thicker skin. Now, this isn’t true in every case, but I think it’s the norm. I hope Sarah keeps her guard up when she’s VP because if she makes the same mistake McCain did(thinking the media was on his side), she could get into trouble.
After what the MSM is putting her and her family through now, I don’t think that’ll be a problem.
Well, I guess you can join the ranks of the sexists out there.
Nice job.
Sarah Palin works pretty hard to look like something other than a beauty queen. The glasses, the hairstyle by Diana Moon Glampers (there’s your obscure Vonnegut reference for the week), the shapeless suits…
Can you imagine how people would react to her if she tried to glam it up? They would never listen to her, and men would be talking to her chest all day long. Now, I am not going to go whining about how attractive women have it so rough, but clearly Sarah Palin is trying to play her attrativeness down in order to be taken seriously.
This is a wise move on her part, and it bespeaks a modesty and lack of narcissism that is so foreign to Democrats that they have a hard time understanding what is going on.
Hey! We’re missing something!!!
We havent heard from Paris Hilton or Britney Spears yet !?! W T F
People wanna know.
Gasp!
I heard she doesn’t use the proper disinfectant on her countertops!
Look for a CNN & MSNBC story on this soon.
Yes, Familyman. Women are more vicious than men are with the attacks. Women use psychological warfare.
For sure. There isn’t anything that annoys me more than being told I can’t do something or better still that I shouldn’t even bother because I’m not qualified. Watching it play out before my very eyes is enough to make the blood boil. Argh.
Go Sarah, go!
Oh, you mean like how they treated the Secretary of State Katherine Harris of FL during the 2000 election? And how MoDo referred to her as putting her makeup on with a trowel?
Yeah, I can imagine.
Hell hath no fury… all that jazz.
LOL….so a boston hairdresser connects Governor Palin’s views to her hairstyle?
Oh Puhleeze…..
I suppose her shoes will be attacked next…..
The “go go boots” were already attacked last week.
Yes, have you ever had a case of Moose e-coli? And she could be a heartbeat away from Salmon-ella.
Gees! After 40 years of marriage you’d think I would know this by now. My experience with groups of women has always been on a professional level. Never noticed it. You’re never to old to learn!
“…one of these days these boots are gonna walk all over you…are you ready [Joe]? Start walking…”
Her hair was beautiful! I loved how she had it up! And it was so thick and a beauuuuuutiful brown!
Absolutely ridiculous!
Heh.
Actually, in addition to styling my hair like Sarah, I think I’ll don a pair of go go boots myself.
I had Lasik last year, so I can’t do the glasses anymore.
Yeah, that was totally my point.
Not that the Sun is a total rag that shows what regard it has for women by plastering a naked one on its 3rd page every day, but was for some reason given any credibility here just because it had a few nice things to say about Palin.
Nope. Couldn’t have been that.
You’re citing this as a negative?
(just a joke ladies…;)
BlameAmericaLast, I can’t wear glasses because the lenses would be so thick and
heavy I would tip over. Must wear contacts. Am considering lasik but for now
will just settle for my long hair. Have that and the bangs so all I need to do is
put it up and fasten with a clippie or leave it down and emulate last nights look.
p.s. I am up to date on current events.
OK, while we’re on the topic of UK publications, here are a couple of more snarkless articles (unlike the catty publications about here in the US) by other UK Newspapers that don’t feature naked women on page 3:
Daily Mail on Palin’s lawsuit threat (understandably):
TimesOnline: Like Moose Going after Cabbage
Here’s one of Mario’s stylists. Not to pick on this lady, but that barrett looking thing is kind of 1960s in it’s own right. Glass houses and all.
OK, that’s probably unfair, but he brought it up…
I mean this is just petty, on the part of this paper. Who the hell cares about her hair? I want to know her freaking policy proposals and ideas.
I never thought that Dems/liberals could be this superficial but I guess they are with such an article. I wonder what these idiots would say about those of us who don’t follow every stupid fashion trend that comes along?
Is this the kind of country we’ve become? Is fashion really important when we’re talking about the future of our country? Gee whiz, liberals really do think they’re the fashionistas, not only of politics, but to us “common folk” as well.
OT..Did anyone else catch Piper “spit bathing” Trig’s hair last night? Precious.
With every new insult they push a few more voters over to our side.
Yeah, that was adorable. This little girl is too much!
Ditto.
Not sure if someone else brought this up, but it’s all very reminiscent of Katherine Harris in 2000. She was savaged by the media, and lib women, for her hair, and makeup, and smile, and everything else…oh and for following the Florida election statutes too. That’s what they really didn’t like.
Anyway, just another example of the left repeating itself over and over and over and over….
I thought she looked great! But I am just a guy what do I know. I would much rather see Sarah on TV than Hillary in her soviet suits.
Wait until their hair grows out and see how many people start wearing the new Palin style.
Besides anyone looks good shooting a black rifle.
Is her style the “barracuda”?
I thought she looked great! She’s clearly a woman who wants to look nice and professional without wasting time and money on meaningless things like the latest hair style. She has many other more important things to do.
And long hair is easier to put in a ponytail for fishing and moose hunting
I thought it was funny. Even my teenage daughter, who when she was 5 would always hold babies because she wanted to be the ‘Mommy’, exclaimed “OMG, shes going to drop him!!”
Obviously, all of the Palins are involved in taking care of each other.
What if Palin’s style started a new fashion trend? That would be a hoot.
What if Palin’s style started a new fashion trend? That would be a hoot.
I think it has.
You mean they didn’t stop all air traffic at LAX and get a Beverly Hills stylist to come to the airport and do her hair? The nerve, right Bill?
You call that style? She looked sloppy and disheveled. Why would anyone take fashion tips from Peggy Hill?
I picked up on all this too. And the refreshing thing was that it was clearly spontaneous (no staging). This is a happy, healthy, confident family, probably largely due to the mentoring and examples set by Mrs. Palin.
To be well expected from a superficial and immoral party and their media. When you don’t have anything of value yourself, start calling names and making fun of someone’s hair.
The party of cheap shots is all they are.
Google on “piper and trig”, and you can find several links that lead to the video clip of piper smoothing trigs hair. It clearly struck a chord among Americans in regard to family values.
See, a typical snarky liberal going after her looks. Surprised no? Disappointed? Gave up on that a long time ago.
Remember Hillary’s headbands during Bill’s first campaign? Does the left really want to have this discussion?
I wonder when the drive by media is going to interview “hair expert” Don Imus.
Oh…I see…he went under THAT bus.
“The Fox and the Grapes” comes to mind. If you can’t have something, badmouth it. Typical liberals though. Liberal women will never have Sarah’s beauty because Sarah’s beauty comes from her heart and we all know the condition of a liberal heart.
I think Piper will be the next rising star in the Palin family. She was cute as pie! I can easily imagine her up on that stage some day.
Hair? I remember hair. Some of my best friends once had hair. We of the ONCE shall not comment. (ears and nose do not count)
Pain.
But a decent hat works.
Her hair, like Michelle’s, (on a good day):-) is a double wow!
Ponytails and hair held up with clippies works just fine. Long hair is the easiest to
keep. Don’t have to keep going in for a trim or messing with curling irons and
hot rollers unless you actually have the time.
Besides, every woman in TX knows that the bigger the hair, the smaller the hips.
Call me out-of-date, too, then. I think her hair looks great. That lady looks like a million bucks. She is beautiful, inside and out.
When McCain/Palin beat Blobama/Boredom this November, I will gloat.
GMAFB!!!
Are they buying a horse?
Honesty, since McCain announced his choice for VP, my phone has rang off the hook from friends who all say “Dude, she looks like your wife!”
Yes…I know, and thank you
Sarah Palin’s hair looks much better than a lot of the “in” reporters and TV personalities. She wears it many different ways, too.
These it-picky critics has nothing on Governor Palin’s knowledge of issues!
Shallow, shallow, shallow!
So she has the naughty librarian look.
So what?
Is it a crime to be drop dead gorgeous and smart at the same time?
My only objection to her is that she is married to somebody who is not me.
Respectfully,
eric aka the Tygrrrr Express
