Yes, there’s a newspaper that actually paid a staffer to write an article about Gov. Sarah Palin’s “outdated” hair.
As opposed to Silky Pony’s?
Crikey on steroids. Next, they’ll be examining her teeth and handbag choices. Oh, and perhaps that Washington Post style who savaged John Roberts’ family for their fashion sense will attack the Palin kids’ shoe styles.

But must her hair suffer? With her long, straight, often pinned-up locks, Palin looks one humid day away from fronting a Kiss cover band.
“It’s about 20 years out of date,” said Boston stylist Mario Russo of the Alaska governor’s ’do. “Which goes to show how off she might be on current events.”

I have been going through my bookmarks this morning, cutting off “news” sources that have crossed over the line from disagreement to ugly attacks. I won’t have much to read in future.
Palin went after her opponents with sarcasm wrapped around facts. So she is pilloried for “bad hair” and “shrillness.”
Go back to Osama Obama’s convention speech and you will find the same “shrill” attacks, except the “facts” are so thin as to be invisible.
Can we attack him for his hair? How about his color? That’s every bit as relevant as Palin’s gender.
The “media,” the “experts,” the “pundits” all say we know nothing about Palin. Except that she has a pregnant daughter, that is. Hell, we know nothing about Obama except what carefully managed fluff the media feeds us. What about Ayers? What about Rezko? What about Wright?
Those are issues far more important than Palin’s daughter.

I think the bit with the hair is the same as wearing glasses in this era of lasik and contacts.
