Not good. Not good at all.

The battle between Oprah and Sarah Palin been playing out all day on Drudge.

TMZ has Oprah’s denial of the Drudge item on internal feuding at the O Show over booking Gov. Palin.

Wonder if she’s crying her eyelashes off again today?

Sure, because you’re afraid if you have her on now, it will diminish Odumbo’s chances.

    Already too late for that…

Just hope Palin doesn’t go on her show after her and McCain win in November.

It’s funny that Oprah says her show will not be used as a political forum, yet she personally appears with jug-ears at speeches earlier this year. As my sister said when she e-mailed her, she won’t buy any products her show advertises because Oprah is a racist. LOL
I LOVE when people can throw that BS back at the morally superior.

I already e-mailed Oprah and stated that she has lost me as a viewer and purchaser of her magazine and products by her assorted camp followers.

I also emailed GE, Lowe’s and Chase. They are all major sponsors of Oprah, and have all lost my business.

As I stated in my e-mail, Gov Palin’s experiences resonates more deeply with me, and the majority of her viewers, than Barack Obama ever could. As a woman also juggling family, work, marriage, I would have like the opportunity to get to know Sarah Palin better.

It is disappointing that Oprah broke her neutrality and stated non-partisanship to endorse Barack Obama and grant him airtime.

Now I have five free hours a week.
What to do, what to do?
I think I’ll hit the gym and work on my goal of being “fabulous by fifty” without Oprah’s needling.

As much as I want to bash her for her blind support of Barry O’Hopenchange, I myself might be inclined to give just a bit of slack, due to what she said. Says she does not want the show to become a political platform (although she did have both candidates on in 2004, and I think, 2000), and (assuming it’s true) Obama has not appeared since at least officially announcing as a candidate.

I think the key words might be “on the show,” and assuming she sticks by it, and doesn’t discuss it, and all that, then, well, OK then.

But if she violates the spirit of that pledge, by pushing Obama, or the letter of it, by actually having him or a spokesman or even his wife on, then I will be one of the first to pile on if she doesn’t follow through.

I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.

Oprah can decide not to issue guest invites to whomever she wants. That’s her right. I find it interesting, however, that a woman so focused on creating and supporting strong women would ignore someone like Sarah Palin. Oprah has always ranted about showcasing strong female role models. She should be praising Gov. Palin even if she disagrees with her on some or many issues.

Oh, and by the way, Oprah made her show a political platform the day she asked Obama about the Presidency while as her guest. She made it more of one the day she endorsed a political candidate and used her status to do it. That’s the truth whether she likes it or not.

Liberals are scared cause Sarah shows that she can be a self made independant strong woman, like the women who made this country great, and not be a wild loon like the liberals.

Sarah reminds me of the strong pioneer women of this countrys history. The ones who work in the farming fields, sewing to clothe family, building, herding cattle, hunting to feed the family, and making a life out of nothing. Sarah is the modern day pioneer woman.

Another fine example of the “inclusive and tolerant” crowd on the left.
How many conservative women (and men, to be fair) watch Oprah, or the Oxygen network, in blissful ignorance of what goes on behind the scenes? I know the decision on Palin’s appearance may not be set, but have a feeling it won’t come together. I did not know about the Clarence Thomas rebuff until I read this piece from Drudge. Maybe it is time to get the word out and see if we have any power in our numbers. She has the right to have whoever she wishes on her show. “I believe that one of life’s greatest risks is never daring to take risk.”

    Didn’t Joe Biden say that?

No, actually it was a 45 minute speech delivered by Barack Insane Obama. But after they edited all the uh’s and er’s out, that was all that was left.

I used to like Oprah a lot — i.e. before she endorsed Obama. Now, even the faint trace of respect that somehow remained in me for her has vanished, and vanished with utter disgust.
God bless Sarah Palin who will be, after her stint as VP to John McCain, the next POTUS.
And she does not need to be in Oprah’s show to attain that!

GP, I don’t think I could stand watching BO & BO try to outdazzle each other with their brilliant intellects. How did they get both of those egos in one room?

O’Reilly wasn’t too bad. He was asking easy, straightforward questions. Anyone running for POTUS should be able to give a pretty direct answer to these questions. Obama just bumbled around never giving a direct answer to anything. He looked like he had no idea what he was talking about. O’Reilly had to essentially let him get away with it in order to move the interview along.

I’m waiting for Tuesday. O’Reilly says that’s when the segment when he asks Obama about Ayers and company will be aired.

Oprah is one of the most vapid people on TV. Why in the world would Sarah Palin want to go on her show? Oprah is clearly in the tank for Obama. To what depths might Oprah sink to to make Sarah Palin look bad?

Never get into a fight with the person who can edit the tape after you crush them in a debate. You will lose when the episode is aired regardless of how well you won in the studio.

Oprah should and likely will have her on. I have yet to hear Palin discuss intelligent design in schools, abortion restrictions(even if there’s rape and/or incest), or numerous other issues since she’s been named the nominee.
America should know all about Palin’s belief system and policy ideas. I’d book her on ASAP. If the majority of Americans agree with her policies and beliefs, I’d be shocked, but hey you never know.

Sorry, O, but Sarah’s going to be too busy after the election, what with being the vice-president and all.

As long as she is consistent in her policy, who cares? Her show is her business, as in her company, so she should be allowed to produce it as she pleases. There are, after all other channels.

I have to agree. As much as we are (justifiably) up in arms about attempts to bring back the Fairness Doctrine (an oxymoron if ever there was one), we also don’t have the right to tell her who to have on her show. We do have the right, however, to vote with our wallets. Don’t watch her show. Don’t support her advertisers. Tell her advertisers why we’re not watching.

    Community activism can be fun!!
