Your morning P.D.S. alert Updated
Scroll down…another outbreak…

Photoshop: David Lunde
I wonder if there will be a day that goes by between now and Election Day that I’m posting no less than five of these alerts.
From reader Mike:
I was listening to an R&B station here in town and they were talking about how McCain didn’t speak about the “issues”. The man on the radio started talking about how Obama will beat McCain in the debates. Another person remarked that people will be paying more attention to the VP debate. Then they referred to Palin as a “crazy white bitch” several times and then called her a librarian stripper.
The folks at 97.1 FM told me it was a nationally syndicated Tom Joyner show from ReachMedia and that they would look into the statements. I cannot find it online, but though you might be able to expose this type of racist discourse. I will say that this will not go over well here in NC with either the white or black communities.
Can you imagine if someone on the radio made similar comments about Barack or his wife? The left can say what they want about Rush, but you will never hear trash like that from him. I hope you post this so they can be exposed for espousing racist garbage.

*Paging the Justice Brothers*
This is the same show that booted Tavis Smiley for supporting Hillary (not that I’m crying any tears for Tavis Smiley). They’ve built their house on shifting sand, and the tide is coming in, and they know it.
What you expect from a pig but an oink?
They have nothing else but to try and trash her now. Latest poll coming from Rasmussen says that Palin’s popularity beats Obama’s. AP is also reporting that Palin had 2 million more viewers for her speech than Obama did. Us magazine has lost several thousand subscribers thanks to their hatchet-job on her. They are desperate and scared.
Its going to be an UGGLLLYYY few months.
Wonder what would’ve happened if someone referred to Michelle as nappy-headed?
Paging Don Imus.
“By their fruits ye shall know them’…this is just the opening salvo against Sarah…and I for one do not intend to sit idly by and let sewer ‘Rats get away with it….fight fire with fire
Since when are R&B radio DJs automatically on the Left? Because they don’t like Palin? Believe, there are plenty of people who are not on the left that don’t like Palin.
I thought that their hatred of Republicans stemmed from our rhetoric.
*rolls eyes*
Soooo….as long as Joyner didnt call her a Nappy Headed Ho, all is good…Riiiiigghhht. I got it now.
There’s your first mistake there…
The moral equivalency played in 3–2–1….

It might have been the Russ Parr show. He’s sooooooooooooo in the tank for His Holiness.
Check out this page from his website.
Oh yeah. They are desperate. Certainly fits with what ACORN is doing.
Michelle,
Why don’t you list the advertisers in the magazines and radio stations that blasted Palin prior to her ever opening her mouth to the public after her VP announcement.
I think with this list and ALL OF US boycotting these advertisers for, say one or two weeks, I am sure that these magazines would feel it pretty hard.
You know, advertisers can also steer a point of view by not…advertising.
oops; Omu beat my post!
So, if one doesn’t like Palin, one shows it by calling her a ‘crazy white bitch’? Please follow your reasoning to its’ logical conclusion with the answer to this:
what does one say if one doesn’t like Obama?
Not sure what happened with the clock quotes… argh.
I see Omu beat my post…
So, if one doesn’t ‘like’ Palin, it’s ok to call her a ‘crazy white bitch’? Please follow your reasoning to its’ logical conclusion & riddle me this:
If one doesn’t like Obama, what would one say?
Err – paging poster Omu – you missed the boat completely, and you’re assuming facts not in evidence. NO one, not the emailer or Michelle noted that the radio host was Left. In fact, party and platform association are totally absent.
The only mention of left is in the statement about leftists bashing Rush.
Anyway, instead of diverting away from the issue, that is the racist and sexist statements of a radio host with a national syndication, you focus on a non-issue.
Palin-bashing is apparently acceptable and vogue, which is a sad comment on exactly how “tolerant” the left is.
Hello?
I see Omu beat my post…
So, if one doesn’t ‘like’ Palin, it’s ok to call her a ‘crazy white b*tch’? Please follow your reasoning to its’ logical conclusion & riddle me this:
If one doesn’t like Obama, what would one say?
Michelle — you can add one more to the list today. ABCNews.com has another hit job trying to diminish Palin with this headline & story “Palin Switches Colleges Six Times in Six Years”
Story here:
My one question to conservatives is: Don’t you feel at least a little bit used? John McCain floated the idea of a pro-choice nominee so he could govern with Joe Lieberman, who except for his national security support is as liberal as Barack Obama. And only because that didn’t go over well with the base, did he pick Sarah Palin.
With or without Sarah Palin, he’s going to grant illegals a path to citizenship with no plan to secure the border.
With or without Sarah Palin, he’s going to let the Bush tax cuts expire as was his plan before he had to run for President.
With or without Sarah Palin, he’s going to nominate “moderate” Supreme Court nominees, since he felt Alito was too conservative, who are going to keep Roe v. Wade the law, as he supported in 1998 before he had to run for President.
With or without Sarah Palin, he’s going to close Guantanamo Bay and bring the terrorists to U.S. soil, where they will be guaranteed the protections of U.S. citizens.
With or without Sarah Palin, he’s going to tax carbon emissions.
I know Sarah is your girl, but do you really think she is there for any reason but to hoodwink you into voting for amnesty, taxes, abortion, detainee rights and global warming action?
Drudge just put up a blurb about bit trouble in the land of O – prah… she is refusing pressure to interview Sarah Palin…
and oh boy, will there ever be a whitey tape?
This is the nastiest ever.
Somewhat related, I was listening to the local Fox radio network this morning and one of the hosts (didn’t recognize either one) mentioned that he was looking at a “left wing blog” (didn’t say which one). He said he read an entry wherein it was alleged that Sarah Palin actually has 20/20 vision and she wears those glasses to manipulate people.
The fear of Sarah factor is reaching previously unheard of levels on the left.
Go Sarah!!
I did a quick search, but couldn’t find the source, but it sounds like a KOS Kid to me.
Unfortunately for the Left, most of America doesn’t scare easily (anymore) about being called a racist. That hand was over-played about 15 years ago. They’ll keep playing it I’m sure, but with little success.
Palin’s speech topped “The One’s” speech in viewers. What the Left does not see is that all of the crap they put out there just causes people to want to see for themselves what all the hype is about. This is going to backfire big time on them. someone once said, there is no such thing as bad publicity.
Go on his website and you’ll see a link to Obama’s website.
Hey Red State, we were going to vote for McCain regardless (actually voting against BO), it’s just that with Gov Palin, we can actually feel good about our vote.
Wow! You’re right! We should all vote for Obama! That’ll show him.
/sarc
You’re an idiot.
With 4 less networks broadcasting besides.
Skeptic: So, you are saying that McCain asked his voter base what they wanted, and they responded? I am _perfectly happy_ with this; in fact, I hope that more politicians do this.
As for the rest, you have points. However, the point you bring up first shows that McCain is willing to listen to his voter base. That said, we can hope that he listens on other issues.
Even with everything you list, I will vote for McCain over Obama. (That actually was never in question.) Thank you for discussing issues, not people.
Here’s hoping Sarah gets on the View and brings baby Trig along, just so she can ask: “Okay, which one of dykes wants to kill my baby?”
Rasmussen has a 3 point swing in McCain’s direction today. It was Obama up 2 today versus 5 yesterday. This is a significant swing since only 1/3 of the polling was done after Governor Palin’s speech. If the one day results hold, McCain will be up 4 on Sunday’s report.
Great going, Sarah, give ‘em hell!
RSS,
Take your fake sympathy and concerns for what we feel and think, and shove it.
I think Paul is on to something here. The left has called every white person in America racist for the last 16 years. And the reason they give for calling us racist is that we are white. Except, calling all white people racists because we are white is, well, racist.
They have diminished the value of the accusation by using it to describe everyone in every instance. According to the leftists even peanut butter is racist.
I think most of us no longer fear the label because they, the left, have demonstrated their hyperbole sufficiently for most rational people to discount this tired old cliché attack on people they just don’t like and disagree with.
Skeptic: I’d rather be used by McCain than abused by Obama.
John McCain has a lifetime conservative rating of 82%. His most recent annual rating was 65%. With the exception of campaign finance, immigration, and his recent acceptance of the global warming scam, he has been fairly solid.
His conversion to the liberal side on those issues may have had more to do with wanting the adulation of the press corps while preparing for this campaign than an actual ideological change.
I sincerely hope he returns to his conservative roots and suspect that Governor Palin will nudge him in that direction.
RSS,
So why don’t you vote for McCain?
Michelle this isn’t the half of it, I heard she even teases her hair LOL!
The VPILF wing of the GOP asks, in all seriousness: Is “librarian stripper” intended to be derogatory?
As if anyone would fantasize about Hillary or Michelle stripping in the stacks of a library.
A nightmare, maybe, but not a fantasy.
And if she’s not enough, our calls and emails to the White House on issues will probably do the trick.
Dead-on correct, 30 pcs.
How stupid the socialists must feel the rest of us are, when:
They oppose the border fence “because it won’t work”.
As if they care that it won’t work.
The socialists don’t want it to work.
As if they care that women with kids who are busy working outside of the home (as my mother did) will have to exert that extra bit more to have a good career and a good family life (as my mother did).
The feminists and socialists don’t care
if women are able to spend time at home with family duties.
20-25 years ago, the socialists said they opposed the missile defense program because it would not work.
They did not care whether it worked.
They did not want it to work.
The socialists say they oppose our drilling for oil because it will not successfully reduce our dependence on foreign oil, because any effects will not be felt for 10 years, blah, blah, blah….
They don’t want to drill for oil. Period.
They don’t care if oil producers hold America by the short and curlies; hell, they seem to favor that.
Such an old, tired, smokescreen ploy.
Keep on keeping on, 30 pcs.
I’m so over being called racist, intolerant, homophobic and sexist just because I am a white, Christian, heterosexual man. I know what I am: a patriot. I love my God, my family and my country (in that order). If my efforts can turn this country just one degree back from our current course to what our founding fathers intended, I will have left this place better than when I found it.
There is an editorial on Yahoo that is just hilarious. The guy spouts off about Palin not being smart, then shows his really short understanding of the law.
Here
Its going to backfire. Empty claims and criticism will pull people to the polls, and I don’t mean the PUMA types.
This is the kind of sexist stuff that NOW and the rest of the so-called feminists have been trying to put a stop to for decades. I don’t care if the wise cracks, ridicule and insults are coming from women or men — it diminishes us regardless. And they wonder why women aren’t taken seriously at work.
They just set us back 30+ years.
Good points, granite. Also did not want the surge to work. Or school vouchers. That list is a long one.
At least I won’t require my taterhole to be re-threaded like the Obama-ites will need.
“crazy white bitch” Rocks
Vote 4 the “librarian stripper”
“Don’t you feel at least a little bit used?” (I would need a bigger bumper for this one)
Yes we will have to keep that one good eye on President Mac and keep him from reaching too far across that isle. He is most certainly a default choice. That is why I ask my conservative fellows (Not you Red State) even if you can’t and won’t vote for JuanMac VOTE the Congressional, state and local offices.
And the Leftist jerks are patronizing to ‘persons of color’ and really believe ‘persons of color’ need Big Mommy Leftist to tie our shoes. Hell Lefty, that is why I wear cowboy boots. I am told that they look tacky with Bermuda shorts. Think?

This is troubling to me. My wife was talking to her sister, a pretty reliable Republican vote, and the sister was spouting all the lies about Palin that the media has put out. Everything from a faked pregnancy to a drunken husband. What the MSM has done is just appalling.
RedState, you are absolutely right. It’s pretty discouraging to see how fast the conservatives are falling right in line.
I will not reward the GOP with a vote for a liberal like McCain. If they want this conservative to vote Republican, then they need to have a conservative on the front of the ticket.
IMHO – Even before Sarah Palin’s selection as VP candidate, Obama was dangerous to the Republic and the Constitution.
Both candidates were forced on us by the manipulation of the MSM. McCain is the least dangerous of the two.
Socialism doesn’t work.

It’s true, McCain will probably do all that with or without Palin. That’s why a lot of us have been calling this “we’re screwed ‘08″ because no matter who wins, we lose. But there’s an important item you left off your little checklist.
With Sarah Palin she can run herself as an incumbent in 2012 or at the latest 2016. Without Sarah Palin, she can’t.
So you see you’ve got it exactly bass ackwards. McCain’s not using us. We’re using him.
And just for the record I agree with the above poster who says you can take your faux sympathy and shove it.
There’s nothing conservative about helping Obama get elected, and by staying on the bench you do exactly that.
As a question of basic mathematics, half of something is better than all of nothing. Time to grow the hell up and realize we don’t live in an ideal world and we can’t always get everything we want.
Doo2,
I couldn’t get through the whole editorial since I didn’t enjoy my breakfast enough to want to see it again. I did notice 1 outright lie and 1 obfuscation near the top.
The writer lied in the number of years of life expectancy or he is stupid. The life expectancy for a 72 year old man is different than for a newborn. At 72, John McCain’s LE is 11.2 years.
The obfuscation was with the cancer meme. I’ve seen this whispered all over the media as if it was a valid issue. I am reasonably certain that what he had was skin cancer which is not a big deal if caught early. I have had it 3 times myself and have no lasting effects.
They will continue lying and bending the truth at their own peril. The public is no longer hostage to the liberal media.
Reader Mike’s email said:
Frankly, that image is causing a serious roil in my stomach.
WELL PUT !!!!! I know that is what I am doing.
Joyner…if I recall the story correctly…started out here in the Dallas area. He had a morning drive-time show in Dallas and then flew to Chicago for an afternoon drive-time show there. He made his living here in Dallas playing off the lead of our local rabble rousers like County Commissioner John Wiley Price. You remember him…the rocket scientist who said that the phrase “black hole” was racist. I’m not surprised by anything Joyner does or says, he’s a race baiter of the Nth degree.
One outright question I had was the line about not getting her passport until July 2007, so she didn’t even check out Canada. Last I checked, you did not need a passport to go to Canada then. I think that started Jan 31, 2008
Every time these health issues are mentioned Biden’s leaking brain aneurysm in 1988 must be included. Was he brain damaged by this leakage of blood into the subarachnoid space?
Source
Another PDS example: The CNN News website has the headline “Palin aides peeked at trooper records.” Scroll waaay down the article and you will see the trooper signed a release. Another non-story desgined to make her look bad.
Actually, you don’t need a passport to go to Canada. You only need one to come home. It is correct that this was not the case until 2008.
For me, growing the hell up meant recognizing when I being played for a sucker. The lesser of two evils is still too evil, and the lesser of two liberals is still too liberal.
I won’t be sitting home. I know the GOP would be perfectly happy if I did. I will vote probably vote for Barr or Baldwin. Hell, I’d vote for Nader over McCain. At least we know where he stands, and don’t have to hope that he’ll decide to actually represent us if we reward him with the presidency.
We’re supposed to be the intelligent party, based on fact over theories.
There’s really nothing conservative about getting McCain elected. It’s selling out principles for party, because Obama and McCain agree on about 80% of the issues. And the 20% they disagree on aren’t on the top of my personal list.
It took a Carter administration to get Reagan elected. If it takes 4 years of Obama to get a Palin up front, then I am willing to endure 4 years of the pain. If that’s what it takes to force my party to recognize that they’ve lost their way, then it’s the least I can do.
Voting for McCain, faintly hoping against hope that he will change his positions on the issues that are important to me would be akin to a wife returning to a husband that beats her. I’d say she deserves what she gets.
So which city is that that it will be guartanteed for a Race War is McCain wins?
I think I will go buy some cheap property there and buy a massive insurance policy (with no riot clause) on it.
Thats not fraud correct? Wouldnt it be like playing the actuary tables in Vegas?
Thanks granite! Likewise to you, sir.
I meant blockquote. The function I have employed above to separate your post from mine. It was a typo.
I guess you havent been listening to Tom Joyner for the last 30 years. Do you think he just graduated from Broadcast school?
Can you say K104 or John Wiley Price? Not to lump them together – but just making the historical example.
He said he read an entry wherein it was alleged that Sarah Palin actually has 20/20 vision and she wears those glasses to manipulate people.
OOOOOooooooh. Evil magic eyeglasses. SPOOKY!!!
I think McCain has made the deal very explicit – support him now, keep the wheels on the GOP bus for four years, and we’ll have a good shot at a President Palin in 2012. I don’t think he’ll run for a second term.
Anyone who wants to walk away from McCain for whatever reason is helping to screw things for all of us for the next decade and a half.
Unless you believe Palin really is Reagan, and Obama really is Carter, and you think he’s going so badly to trip over his organ that we’ll be able to throw the whole lot of ‘em out in 2012. That’s a long shot. I play the odds.
Then you haven’t been paying attention to us at all. Falling in line? You gotta be kidding me.
Wow. As usual the whole point of this thread goes over your head. Like your counterparts, instead of focusing on what was actually said, you make incorrect assumptions about something that was never said. Since you can come on here and try to chastize us all, why don’t you at least have to courtesy to respond to the actual topic which is why it’s pathetic to refer to a candidate for VP as

I think this is the theme for most Republicans this year:
A Spoon Full Of Palin Helps The McCain Go Down.
Sadly, it is HER Conservative beliefs that will be put on a shelf. After all, she is the V.P. Candidate. She’s there for only one purpose, to get Conservatives to Swallow the Leftist Agenda of McCain, much like Joe Lieberman had to twist himself into a pretzel to run with Gore.
It’s sad that most of the conservative movement has sold THEMSELVES out, for the “R” on the Jersey.
In essence, Sarah Palin is everything that John McCain isn’t. Which leads to the question that was asked long ago by the Hebrew prophet: “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?”
Herein lies the problem for Sarah Palin. How can a principled conservative support the policies and actions of an unprincipled globalist such as John McCain? As Vice President, Palin will be required to promote and defend McCain’s big-government, liberal, and globalist plans. For example, what will she do when John McCain proposes amnesty for millions of illegal aliens, which he is certain to do? What will she do when McCain proposes to close gun shows, or at least the private sale of firearms at gun shows? What will she do when he proposes to increase federal spending for abortion providers (which he has done numerous times as senator)? What will she do when he promotes federal spending for embryonic stem cell research? What will she do when John McCain proliferates Bush’s police state machinations by expanding the Patriot Act and similar legislation? What will Palin do when McCain decides to nuke Iran (and who knows what else), not only without a Declaration of War by Congress, but also without provocation or justification? What will she do as John McCain expands the Security and Prosperity Partnership with Canada and Mexico? What will she do as McCain opens the door of the NAFTA superhighway and the North American Union? What will she do as John McCain allows the United Nations to dictate and manipulate America’s foreign policy? Again, can two walk together except they be agreed?
Let’s face it: John McCain is using Sarah Palin as inducement to trick conservatives into accepting his liberal, big-government, globalist candidacy. And, sadly, it is working.
Chuck Baldwin
I find it interesting that liberals are now trying hard to paint John McCain as one of them when last week he was the devil incarnate.
They are very scared of this ticket and just that would be enough to secure my vote.
This thread is about Sarah Palin and the constant personal attacks on her, so those of you here to lecture us on voting for McCain, take it to another thread.
Buh bye.
Rest assured, Al and Jessie are on theyre way to take care of this. Obama will call on the firing also just as he did with Imus.
Yes please.
Take it to another site…
I honestly can’t see how a vote for Obama would remedy a single one of those problems, and in fact, would doubtlessly make them worse (or vote “present”), so what is your point?
At least I have a chance of influencing McCain, who may be stubborn, but can be persuaded with facts. Obama is as far left as one can get and not fall into the Pacific ocean. There is no chance of influencing him.
aj
These people are really workin’ on my nerves.
But, I’m still pumped about the election even though I know it’s not “in the bag”.
Dimsdale,
There is no point and that’s my problem.
Navy,
Just blow em off, their worthless….
Bear1909 opened my eye’s months ago to Gov. Palin and we were hoping that would be McCains pick.
Look at the energy she has brought! it’s amazing.
the Dems F.E.A.R. her and we will win.
Because as much as we may wish it were so the world doesn’t always run on principle and in a nation of 300 million people you pretty much always have to compromise.
I find 90 percent of Bush’s policies contemptable, but I voted for him because I thought 100 percent of Kerry’s were awful. To me 2004 was a choice: have a President I hate and win the war or have a President I hate and lose the war. For an adult that’s a simple choice.
Those of you who are saying “four years of Obama will get us a Reagan” are assuming an awful lot that you have no rational basis to assume. I think once he’s in office with a unified Democratic Congress behind him he’s got a much better chance of turning into a Clinton than a Carter.
You’re also forgetting that a President Obama will put liberal activists on the Supreme Court that will be there not for four years, but for decades. Is there a chance McCain will screw up on judges? Of course. But it’s guaranteed that Obama will. Is there a chance McCain will revert to form and dismiss conservative ideals? Yes, a good chance. But how exactly do you think Obama will treat you?
Like it or not we live in a two party system. We had eight years of Clinton, leaving a legacy we’re still paying for, because people voted for Perot in order to be “principled”. Remember that.
Spot on.
Ugh…sadly, I do remember.
Those people are just sickening. Would they say that to her face? Would they say that if her husband and son were around? Would they say that if they respected their own mother or sister???
Uh! Uh! Not gonna do it! Not gonna let myself be guilted into voting for the lesser of two evils anymore. Wouldn’t be prudent!
Short answer – no.
Long answer – uuuuhhhh, no.
While I was never going to vote for Obama, I was thinking I could stay home on election day in regards to McCain.
While I agree with the point that McCain is not the guy I wanted, and he is wrong on many issues, he is right on national security. Considering that is an issue over which he would have some control, and now that he has thrown me and my conservative friends a bone, I think I’ll send him some money.
By the way, my voting for McCain and Caribou Barbie would not make a difference. I live a very blue state. Money is the only influence I have.
