Latest smear: Palin called Obama a “Sambo!”

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 6, 2008 02:52 PM

Tons of readers are sending the latest, most pathetic smear against Gov. Sarah Palin.

It is laughable beyond belief.

One “Charley James” accuses Palin of exclaiming the following after Obama defeated Hillary:

“So Sambo beat the bitch!”

Read the entire “investigative report” here, which comes off like a really, really bad Onion parody.

If you think these things should just be ignored, take a look at how it’s already spreading:

***

For every nutball blogger who spreads it, there should be 50 to defuse, debunk, and beat it down.

The smear merchants aren’t going to let up between now and Election Day. Neither should we.

Case in point: Bill Maher sliming the Palin family and baby Trig.

***

Oh, and there are disgusting racists out there who smeared a black politician as a Sambo.

The truth: It’s the Left, not the Right, that’s guilty.

The racists were bigoted liberal hatemongers who mocked black GOP Maryland Senate candidate Michael Steele with the epithet.

Pass it on.

Please be specific, I’d like to be able to verify that these lies you claim have appeared in print or on tape.

I’m sure I’m sure you don’t have the courage to actually follow up on your mindless challenge so I’m doing this also so MM’s readers can help fight the smears. Others have done the hard work so I’ll just provide the links:

Warner Todd Huston’s article is the least exhaustive but a good place to go because of the three, it’s the only one that has a way to email the article to your entire address book and help spread the word. The most elegant and unbiased is Chris of Right’s summary – an extensive, substantive and truthful recap of all the media lies. And finally, Charles Martin’s recap.

The last two bloggers are understandbly tired so don’t include this latest egregious smear. I’m not sure this latest one is even worthy of mention since liberal-boy at the LAProgressive already has his 15 minutes of fame and will quickly fade into the black hole of nothingness from which he slithered. Please join him, Monkey.

You know what her reaction was?

Between her look of total astonishment, followed by hysterical laughter, she asked, “How old is that guy, 12?”

Classic. Further proof that I am raising my children correctly and they are well adjusted, intelligent young ladies. I’m so proud.

See…another prime example of why they remain ignorant. No…I take that back. ignorance is curable by those who seek out information and accept information when given them.

However, those that do not and remain in their lack of knowledge, refusing to accept facts when presented to them in an irrefutable manner, backed up with things that make them irrefutable are what is known as stupid.

Stupidity, unlike ignorance, is a life-long affliction.

    This jackass is completely stupid.

He can ignore me, make elementary school yard attempts at insulting me, etc., but the simple fact is that here, on this site, in writing, he has been proven to be the biggest idiot that has shot down the pike in a very long time. he has been proven wrong in his assertations, peoven wrong in his beliefs, and worse, shown to be a complete moron by continuing to stick with his original statement after being shown that he is 100% WRONG.

Again, a person that continues to insist that they are correct even after they have been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt to be wrong, suffers from mental illness.

Have a nice night poo-butt. If you are good and go to bed when your mommy tells you, maybe she will make you pancakes with smiley faces on them in the morning. Don;t forget to put your Pull-Ups on. you wouldn’t want to have an “accident” tonight.

You’ve said nothing whatsoever in this entire thread that’s addressed what I posted, except a stream-of-consciousness regurgitation of supposed Palin “lies” that have not, in fact, been printed or broadcast and the kind of trash-talk that’s typical from someone who has absolutely no clue what they’re talking about. You provided not a single link or even example of naming a publication or broadcaster, despite the fact that the entire question I raised was ABOUT what these supposed “lies” are that have made it into print or been broadcast. PKAmmoTroop has, to their credit, at least engaged in discussion. I have no idea what your damage is, but it’s obviously severe and I’m just saddened to know that there appear to be children who will grow to adulthood emotionally, socially and intellectually crippled from their prolonged exposure to someone for whom the height of debate is to call his opponent “Poo-butt.”

Dude, take it walking. If you even looked up anything – anything that’s been posted you’d see not only am I right, you’d find out I’m not in a Red State, or even near a Red State. But I am conservative. Your use of “Red State World View” gives you away to who and what you are. And your absolute refusal to do your own work, to look up your own questions, tells me you’re either lazy or terrified to see what you’ll find. Either way that means liberal to me.

You think I’m some kind of mindless conservative drone? Dude I got bits for you to kiss all day long. I am so politically independent it would shock your friends at the kollective. I’ve been supporting black and female politicians longer than you’ve been able to type. Politicians that meet my requirements.

Yeah I’m conservative, and I wear the badge of conservative proudly because after viewing the options and weighing the consequences I made the intellectual choice to turn my back on liberalism.

My world view is not “Red State” or “Blue State” and I’m insulted by someone trying to pin me down so narrowly. My world view was earned on the hard road, in the real world. I started out a young mush head, brainwashed by community college professors who were self professed communists, and then I went out into the real world and went around the world.

    Three times.

And in the real world I saw what collectivism and liberalism has caused. The enslavement of the human spirit. The crushing of hope, the elimination of freedom. The death of spiriual enlightenment.

I’ve been bombed by Hamas, I’ve been threatened with a nuke by North Korea, and I played a big part in converting most of the Iraqi Republican Guard into something that resembles chunky style raspberry jelly. And that’s a start

I’m going to hell for the things I’ve done for my country, and I’ve proudly earned the trip. But I’ve done something that lazy Leftists who won’t even open a search engine haven’t done.

I’ve lived. And I’ve used my mind.

I’ve researched, I’ve weighed options, I’ve looked at personal histories. Until a few days ago I wasn’t even going to vote because historically senators have been the absolute worst presidents but then I saw the press doing what 40 years ago was unthinkable to Sarah Palin and my mind was made up.

    Now walk away.

Is “Red State World View” some kind of code phrase that scares you? I meant it as a shorthand for the attitude in full display from some of the other… “less capable”… posters here and if I was wrong that you share it, I was wrong, and I apologize. I didn’t intend it to be offensive (although I think it’s interesting that you find it so…)

But the real point is, I’m not refusing to do MY work, I’m refusing to do YOURS. YOU claim that “lies” have been propagated by the media, presumably via print and/or broadcast; I countered that I believe your claim is, basically, not true. Since you claim that these lies about Sarah Palin have been printed and broadcast, why is it not then incumbent on you to prove your hypothesis?

That’s ALL I’m asking. WHERE are the lies? You’ve done nothing to prove your hypothesis – “there are lies” – is right and that my hypothesis – “there are no lies” – is wrong, yet you feel free to call ME lazy and afraid of the truth?

I congratulate him for doing exactly what I have stated he would do, making sure to maintain the Liberal talking points and staying on schedule.

However, I am done playing with the moron, and thus, having done my duty in allowing him to demonstrate to all who will catch up on the overnights tomorrow morning just what a disingenuous, lying, stupid (see definition two earlier posts of mine up) little Liberal poo-butt he truly is, as well as demonstrating that he has no compensity for even the simplest tasks, nor any understanding as to who has the burden of proof when it comes to dispelling lies…he is now completely, 100% irrelevant.

    Have fun guys…

In the words of the father in “The Jazz Singer”, “He is dead to me”.

I will, however, enjoy reading all those that will leave him in even more of a destroyed form than we have done tonight. It stands to be a truly humorous read.

One of the early claims people made was that she was a secesionist. But are Obama and Biden any different? Here’s a take on that from Rush found here. (My boldface)

This secession business is one of the lamest straws, the lamest little twigs that the left have out there to try to go after Sarah Palin on the basis that her husband Todd supported secession for Alaska. Now, two things. Look at me on this. Follow me. Two things. Now, I don’t support secession, obviously, but I can damn-well understand why people in Alaska feel put out. Here you have a bunch of elite, city slicker liberals in New York and California and elsewhere. They don’t like liberals in these rural areas. They don’t like liberal politicians telling them when, how, and where they can explore for and drill for their own natural resources. They don’t like having to hear Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi tell them when and where they can’t do things.

They don’t like hearing it from Obama. They don’t like being told that they can’t use their habitats and all of that. Now, I don’t support secession for Alaska, but I understand why people get ticked off up there. But can we go back to the recent past? There was a piece by John Fund on June 12th of 2006 in the Wall Street Journal. Senator Akaka [from Hawaii "undermined his own bill last year when he made statements to National Public Radio that the sovereignty granted Native Hawaiians in the [Native Hawaiian Government Reorganization Act] bill could eventually lead to secession. ‘That could be,’ he said. ‘As far as what’s going to happen at the other end, I’m leaving it up to my grandchildren and great-grandchildren.’” Obama and Biden both voted for Akaka’s bill that opened the way for Hawaii to leave the union! And when this bill came up, we were all talking about how this is going to potentially lead to secession,” and Obama and Biden both voted for it! Now, this is a clear example of a double standard.

Alaska hasn’t done anything like this. They certainly haven’t had a member of their congressional delegation propose it. But Daniel A-ka-ka (I love pronouncing that name) Daniel A-ka-ka from Hawaii not only proposed it but it was debated and almost passed voted for by Obama and Biden. So what is this? The double standard just reigns extreme. But, see, we don’t live in a monopoly anymore — and the left cannot seem to get it through its head that we have researchers and that we have an archive of the stupid, contradictory, hypocritical things that they have and said how they’ve voted. The rope-a-dope again: “Okay, you want to go after Todd Palin for flirting with Alaskan secession? Fine! Obama and Biden voted for a bill that could lead to that very thing in Hawaii, by the sponsor’s own admission, Daniel Akaka.”

More is at stake here for the dems than simply electing BO. Palin represents death to the liberal agenda. Attacking her put them in a no-win situation; smearing her results in a backlash and debating fairly on the issues results in losing the election. Hillary attacking Palin will result in possibly losing her senate seat in the next election. Tight poll numbers will drive BO nuts and be fine for McCain. Even the pollsters are troubled by the inablity to predict this race.

CW4_KGP You guys were in a good bar fight last! Here is some simple advise. Before you toss that next beer bottle, drink the beer first and follow the below rules. You’ll be happier and may win the battle.

Six Rules of Critical Thinking in Science

    1. Is it falsifiable?
For any explanation to be considered science, it must be falsifiable. It must be possible to obtain some evidence that would falsify the claim. This is what makes science science, and why most significantly evidence matters.

    2. Is it logical?
All conclusions or predictions drawn from an explanation must logically follow. This is important because explanations are tested by evaluating such predictions.

    3. Is it comprehensive?
Does the explanation account for all of the available evidence? If not, then how can it possibly be true? This means you cannot pick and choose among the available evidence and select only those items that support your explanation. To be a viable alternative explanation, all the available evidence must be explained.

    4. Has everyone been honest?
Anybody offering an explanation has an obligation to weigh all the evidence and reach a rational conclusion. You always must be on guard of self-deception, and you must be willing to abandon any explanation if the evidence contradicts it. Science makes progress when falsified explanations are abandoned and replacing them with new explanations.

    5. Is it replicable?
Any evidence offered in support of an explanation must be capable of being obtained independently and confirmed by someone else. If something repeatedly cannot be confirmed independently, then the original evidence becomes suspect, and so does the explanation it supported.

    6. Is it sufficient?
Is the evidence offered sufficient to support the truth of the explanation? The belief we place in an explanation must remain proportionate to the amount of credible evidence that has been accumulated in its support. Remember the burden of proof rests on the person putting forth the explanation, and the more extraordinary the claim, the more solid the evidence required to support it. Further the absence of falsifying evidence is not the same as the presence of evidence that confirms a claim or explanation.

    Conclusion
If an explanation or claim passes on all six rules, then you are justified in considering it to be true. Of course, this does not provide a guarantee of truth, but it means you have a good basis for supporting the explanation. If an explanation fails one of the six rules, then it should be rejected or at least treated with great skepticism.

Monkey boy is currently on some news talking head round table with the rest of the empty heads laughing at Palin in their oh-so condescending sinus echoing chortals and congratulating each other on their oh-so witty and oh-so cosmopolitan views on the “inevitable” second coming of Jimmy Carter.

“Palin is seen as Trahlar trawsh by all the very best of voters? Oh Mawtha! how exquisitely witty of you! You must tell me how you do it!” (girly squeal of self congratulation)

And looking at the round tables that’s exactly what these weak jawed limp wristed cabbage heads think of us, and that’s where the next Palin smear is coming from. I saw trial balloon after trial balloon floated this morning and the theme is going to be “If you’re smart you’ll realize Palin is nothing but ‘Trawler Trawsh’”

And of course ’smart’ to the media means “You will think what I tell you to think without question.”

I got news for the media elite, “I’m your worst nightmare”

I’m independent, I’m intelligent, and I’m conservative. I’ve been around the world, I’ve defended our Constitution with my own blood and I’m so damn smart I’ve had university professors fired for incompetence. And I consider myself just one of ‘the guys’ when it comes to the conservative movement. I’m humbled by the wit, wisdom and heart felt patriotism of those around me.

And like those around me I can see what’s right, I can see what’s wrong and I can see exactly what the media is doing. And I don’t like it.

Finally, after 8 long miserable years the Republican Party is returning to us, the core conservatives, the people BOTH parties have abandoned in their record breaking 16 year long slavering grab for our wallets.

It stops now and it stops with us. We MUST spread the truth about Obama, the lies, the association with terrorists, felons, and jihadists. Don’t worry about hidden agenda, the ones out in the open are terrifying enough.

We MUST bring our Latino brothers and sisters into the big tent. Our neighbors to the south are dying by the hundreds, actually being raped and murdered by coyotes (not the ugly dogs, the traffickers) to join in the American dream because they want to be able to raise their families with the fruit of their labors. Hey! That’s us! Work, family, excellence – the conservative dream, and every family oriented man and woman regardless of heritage I’ve ever met shares in that dream.

We MUST congratulate and encourage the few news readers and talking heads that are presenting the facts. All journalists have an email address now and many have a blog. Let them know you appreciate the truth and thank them for their courage and integrity.

We MUST call the rest of the talking heads on it when you catch them trying to pass their own personal opinions off as fact. I won’t mention any names (Sally Quinn, Alan Combs) but they’re out there. Email them, let them know that editorials belong in section D, you want facts when you’re told it’s news, not their own personal foibles. Oh, they’ll deny what they’re doing, they’ll probably even insult you because you’re not smart enough to parrot what they told you to, but they’ll also be shocked they were caught.

This election is OURS! The Republican Party is returning to the people, and 6 months ago who would have thought it would? Who would have thought it was McCain bringing it back to us?. It’s our election to win or lose. Get the word out! Call the left on it when they lie! Confront their hollow ideas with realistic alternatives. And then vote!

Like Ted Nugent told Glenn Beck last week “Vote for McCain, then keep on his ass!”

We got work to do folks!

Oooo – this was good, I’m going to put it in my blog! :D

Liberal solutions to social problems simply make things worse. Notice that a liberal won’t point out a problem unless they have fabricated a solution to profit from it financially or professionally.
