Latest smear: Palin called Obama a “Sambo!”

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 6, 2008 02:52 PM

Tons of readers are sending the latest, most pathetic smear against Gov. Sarah Palin.

It is laughable beyond belief.

One “Charley James” accuses Palin of exclaiming the following after Obama defeated Hillary:

“So Sambo beat the bitch!”

Read the entire “investigative report” here, which comes off like a really, really bad Onion parody.

If you think these things should just be ignored, take a look at how it’s already spreading:

***

For every nutball blogger who spreads it, there should be 50 to defuse, debunk, and beat it down.

The smear merchants aren’t going to let up between now and Election Day. Neither should we.

Case in point: Bill Maher sliming the Palin family and baby Trig.

***

Oh, and there are disgusting racists out there who smeared a black politician as a Sambo.

The truth: It’s the Left, not the Right, that’s guilty.

The racists were bigoted liberal hatemongers who mocked black GOP Maryland Senate candidate Michael Steele with the epithet.

Pass it on.

And according to that unimpeachable journalistic source, The L.A. Progressive, lauded as the paper of choice for The Pie Man, Gov. Palin is even bigoted against her own husband, as they claim that she is racist towards the indigenous Inuits (or as they refer to them, Eskimos and her house the Igloo).

No…there is absolutely no bias, no plan, no smear involved in this “story” what-so-ever. Just honest journalism from those crusaders of truth bringing you the stories that the Conservative Media that have been bought and paid for by those Big business Fat Cats like CNN, MSNBC and others refuse to tell you because hey…they are all racist too.

A sambo is a silly caricature of an African American from US popular culture (pre-1968). As seen in this cartoon. Funny thing is white males are now portrayed in TV commercials the exact same way today.

My memory may be off on this (and no way do I want to add another Sambo search to Google’s hit parade in order to check this out), but I seem to recall a children’s book in which Little Black Sambo was the main character. As a child I had access to a lot of very old (as in late 19th and early 20th century) books – no, I’m not that old myself. A couple of great-aunts were teachers, and passed on quite a few books to my family.

Please, everyone, keep the Palin family in your prayers. We’ve seen Sarah’s strength, but this whole business is downright mean (still waiting for Michelle O to speak up *cue the crickets*). It can’t be easy for Todd and the children.

Not that Sarah Palin isn’t capable of saying or doing something that is sinful or off color – we all are. But based on the fact that she was raised in the Assembly of God; attends a Bible believing and Bible teaching church; and the way she leads her life would immediately make one suspect of claims that she said “So Sambo beat the b??ch!”. That would be out of character.

Evangelical Christians can spot the real deal a mile away. That’s why they’ve taken to Sarah Palin so quickly. And, that’s why the Democrats have so much trouble attracting them to their party. Christians who are based firmly in Biblical beliefs aren’t easily fooled by wolves in sheep’s closing.

I remember having a ‘Little Black Sambo’ book as a kid. He was brave and outsmarted a tiger – made him run around a palm tree so fast the the tiger turned into butter. So many stories trashed because of perceived PC ills.

I, too, remember “Little Black Sambo.” It was one of the most popular books in our elementary school library. And then the book disappeared. We came back to school one fall after summer vacation, and the book was not on the shelf. The kids asked the librarian where the book was, and we were told it had been removed because it was demeaning to black people. I’ve always wondered who made that decision. A parent in our small, all-white, Midwestern farming community who was on the cutting edge of the political correctness wave? Or could it have been someone in the school (teacher, librarian, administrator) who attended a summer seminar and came back “aware” of the damage such books have on young developing minds? Where, oh where, were all those liberal librarians standing up against the banning of books when our favorite book was removed from the library shelf???

Pretty funny in light of the faux Palin-book-banning scandal.

Yes Indeed, Sarah is busy in Colorado Springs right now with John McCain spreading their message of REAL CHANGE in the RIGHT direction (pun intended). They are talking to a crowd waiving American Flags that were in trash bags by dumpsters at the Dem Convention site. Vendors noticed the flags in trash bags, rescued them and now they are being waived by people who REALLY love our country, at a McCain rally down the freeway from Denver.

I just returned from Colorado Jet Center in Colorado Springs and I have pics of the “adopted” Invesco Flags as they were being passed out. They waved high and proud as the next POTUS and VPOTUS spoke about the changes that they – the Two Mavericks – will take to Washington.

Oh, and Cindy looked divine! (Uh, like gorgeous, not like The One who thinks he’s divinity…)

I also have picks of the Dems for McCain and Hillary Supporters for McCain.

And a GREAT pic of The McCains and Gov. Palin on the tarmac of Straight Talk One…

We have an idea to get more Dem supporters: They LOVE free stuff…so have free keggers the night before the election. Either they will be too hung over to vote or too happy with McCain for the free brews….of course, I’m sure Cindy will give the campaign a discount…lol

Story books never influenced me how I feel about any race however the news has….LA riots, jackson, sharpton, Knoxville murders etc…A while back I told my fiancee (from India and very dark and lovely) when I saw Bill Cosby and jackson on TV is the 1st time I ever saw a black man and a @#$%@* on TV at the same time. obama isn’t worthy of being called Sambo because he has never outsmarted anything.

Also, the “founders” of the website LA Progressive (the name in itself should’ve been a hint), are a couple of nobodies. Here’s their description:

Both have day jobs but have been progressive activists for more than 30 years, each supporting progressive causes in their own way. But it wasn’t until the “swiftboating” of John Kerry that Dick, himself a Vietnam Veteran, urged Sharon to join him and ratchet up their activism. Since the Bushites took over, Dick and Sharon have worked to promote the progressive agenda in Los Angeles and its surrounding communities hoping to do their small part in providing information to the people they believe will suffer the most from the policies of this White House.

As IF they need to promote the progressive agenda in LA.

She affirmed that she was voting for Obama, though she said identified herself as an anarchist and worried that the senator from Illinois is “too corporate.” She said she preferred Obama to Clinton because she was angry at the Clintons for their acquiescence to Gingrich-era welfare reform, though her Prada bag, iPhone, and couture-crusty trustafarian hair-do all suggested that her worries were not rooted in personal experience.

Well, it WAS hot out on the tarmac. I got there at 8am when it was 55 degrees (doors opened at 9) and there were a lot of people (really long lines – probably atleast 1 mile long) and parking did suck (dirt lots – in my KIA Spectra is not fun). Locals (yup, I am now) know that the streets and airport weren’t build to handle that kind of traffic.

What the heck did the DIP expect? If you know the airport (it is small) and the streets, you would EXPECT it to be crowded. I walked about 3 miles (needed a Coors when I got home) but it only took about an hour to get out and home. (I live 30 minutes from the airport.) I guess I am used to events in Los Angeles where it takes 2 hours to get in and 2 to get home. Springs people think a 30 minute drive is a horrible inconvenience…and I am getting spoiled here just like DW…LOL

I suppose DIPPY Writer wouldn’t have complained if it was a Van Halen concert or the DNC with the free weed, eh?

S/he was right about the speeches being revised from the RNC. But I really enjoyed hearing the local politicos give their shpiels. I don’t know them yet like I did the LA county folks, so that was good. And when the Invesco Flag story was told and the Vets started passing them out, and we had them in our hands and same Lee Greenwoods song. Ahhh, I was glad I had a tissue! And I got to meet some really great people and hear their stories and why they support McCain/Palin.
