Obama time and again has shown what he thinks of patriotic Americans and the US Flag in particular. More care probably went into the faux Greek columns.

When Hillary was looking for a state in need of a senator, she came back to IL to see how she would be received. The climate was toxic, so she decided that she had a better shot in NY. It was not a surprize that BO and the chicago politial machine had no use for her. Now he needs her to counteract Palin. Nice try BO!
Two or three days ago, I read something written by Shaun Mullen for The Moderate Voice, throughout which he threw a ring tailed wall-eyed fit over the choice of Sarah Palin as McCain’s running mate. He apparently has some daughters and he was bewailing the fact that they may need birth control and abortions and that with Sarah Palin in DC as Veep, these will not be available to them.
First, the argument seemed specious to me because I seem to remember that his daughters ages are all in single digits or perhaps in the first two double digits. How soon does he think girls should, if they are going to, use birth control and/or have abortions? Second, just how does he think the VP could stop his daughters from obtaining birth control when they are of a more mature age? Also, how much power does he think the
VP has in any administration? Fourth, what sort of lives does he envision for his daughters if the first thing that comes to his mind when he looks at a political candidate, is birth control or abortions for his youngsters?
If this is the way the left automatically thinks then perhaps I can understand, a little more, about their
mindset? They see a woman who has five children ( that’s bad enough ), but one of those children has
downs syndrome ( gasp! how could she not abort?) and now has announced that her 17 yr old daughter is
pregnant and going to marry the father! What an utterly horrid example to set for the young girls of our
nation!!! My God! They probably even believe in God and regularly attend church!!
And just look at all we have learned about The Golden Calf, your false god and idol, just in the last two to three months.
We have learned just how inexperienced he is and just how wrong of a choice he is, not just for resident, but for public office in general.
Maybe he should go back to teaching, but then that would be placing a curse on the poor students who would have no choice but to sit there and listen to his lies.
Why is that, bc? Could it be a love for yyour country and respect for the American flag?
So in other words, this guy sees no problem with killing his grandchildren.

I have a lot of little flags from various rallies in a box in one of my closets. I
consider them more important that the campaign buttons or hats or whatever the
gimmee was at that event.
But, then again, I am not a leftist who hates my country and its emblems.
Below is my response to an article about the flags from Denver being dumped in the trash. It mentioned that Obama had set tp a web-site to defend his patriotism.
The nutroots are already starting with the flag is ‘only a symbol’ crap. Ok. If it is only a symbol, with no real significance or requiring any respect, why in hell did they buy 12,000 of them and wave them around for 4 days in Denver? Maybe the American flag only has value to the Dems when they are trying to blow smoke up our backsides about their “patriotism”.
So now we find out that his party has completely dis-respected our flag, which has been paid for with the blood of our patriots and soldiers. We know that Obama does not wish to offend anyone, so he does not cover his heart during the pledge of allegience or the national anthem. His wife has never been proud of her country, until recently. To offset this, I am supposed to go to the ‘Obama is a patriot’ web-site and believe it to be true because he says so. Hmmm. I was raised to believe that actions apeak louder than words. I still do.
John McCain can ‘talk the talk’ and ‘walk the walk’. Barack Obama has no leg(s) to stand on and does not even talk a good game until it comes to his greatest love. Himself.

On this late Saturday morning, I am sitting here in my living room while my daughters are all in various places doing the things kids do on a Saturday…my eldest wrapped in a blanket next to me as we are watching The Discovery Channel HD.
The show that is on is “Inside the Twin Towers”.
I am reminded of what this Thursday is, the 7th anniversary of the Islamic Attack on our country in their ever expanding war to conquer the entire world.
This is always a very difficult time of year for me and I am always awash in flashbacks of that day, of being at the firehouse, woken up by the bells going off with a “Special Message” and being called in by one of the guys to see what is happening on the television, and all the unknown and what it was going to mean for us. It is a very emotional day every year. i won’t get into it more than that.
But what is really going through my mind a lot as I watch this show, choke back the tears, and answer my daughter’s questions, is that there are two men that are currently running for arguably the most powerful positions on the planet, who seemingly have learned NOTHING from that event, or the events of the past 7 years.
There is a very large number of people in this country who have learned NOTHING from that day, or the last 7 years who are actually voting for them, denying there is a problem, denying we are at war etc.
I want to NEVER experience another day like that ever again. I want to NEVER worry about a loved one or a friend who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and that place and time having been placed there by those that have learned NOTHING from any of this, who deny that there is a problem, and who want to pretend that it is anything else other than what it is..
The danger…the real, honest to God danger, of electing B. Hussein Obama and Biden to that office cannot be expressed enough. There are those that want to hide it, who want to call us names and such for even mentioning it all due to their ignorance, the apologetic attitude to those that will committ these acts, that want to intimidate all of us into believing that such a thing never even happened.
But make no mistake. The danger is real. the threats are REAL. All the wishing, the politicizing, the distractions and the like will not make a lick of difference. The fact is very simple:
We cannot afford, as a people, as a nation, to elect as President and Vice President of the United States, people who will weaken us, will show any sort of sign that we will balk or surrender to people who believe that dying for their cause is the best thing in the world.
We cannot afford anymore to allow the likes of B. Hussein Obama to EVER attain the office of President.
My family, my children, my country, my way of life is worth far more than any rhetoric that the Left, that Liberals, that 9-11 deniers, that any of those types of people could ever toss out at me.
Say what you want about McCain being a moderate, a RINO, or whatever, but this election is even more important that the one 4 years ago, and is too damn important to put personal politics above the safety and security of this country and its people. McCain is the only choice we have of making sure something like that never occurs again. Do not let Obama win. Do not let his type win. EVER.
Doesn’t it seem odd that we even have to question someones patriotism that’s running for President of the United States? Him having to address these questions is in of itself well questionable. One would think this should be a mute point but with Obama it’s not.

The left is so ‘ga-ga’ over Obama that recently a poster responded to one of my comments regarding Obama’s experience, in comparison to Palin’s, in our local newpaper’s forum . This lady stated that McCain showed lack of judgment, blah, blah, blah, in his Veep choice, due to Palin’s lack of political experience, as she would be just ‘one heart-beat’ away from the presidency. She then went on to state how that her vote would go to Obama and how his lack of experience would be a ‘breath of fresh air’ in Washington, and he could bring about change. She also stated that Obama’s inexperience did not matter as he could learn OTJ and his staff around him would coach him along. She was not being funny, she was dead serious. Can you believe the mentality, or lack of, from these people?
Oh yeah, she called me ’somewhat hypocritical’ for my beliefs. I should smile at the irony, but there is nothing humerous at all about the situation we are in.

Oh oh—bad publicity for the democrats. Drudge reports: Seems they threw out thousands of perfectly good american flags at Invesco Field. A worker found them and salvaged them. Now the republicans are going to recycle them. They will drag the bags of flags out on the stage at a McCain event today! Good fun!
September 11th falls on Patriots Day this year.

yes it is “only a symbol”. It is a symbol of freedom throughout the world. It is a symbol of all the men and women who have died in service to this country and the people who call this country home as citizens. It is a symbol that when raised on foreign soil tells those that are being oppressed, abused, starved, and worse that finally help has arrived.
It is a symbol of this country…OUR country. It is a symbol of pride the likes of which has never been known throughout history and will never be known again.
To trash that symbol speaks louder than any words a person could ever speak or write. It shows disdain for the very things that people are dying to attain in foreign lands, and shows a weakness of character that one could never make right.
It is the failure to understand that “symbol” that shows exactly why these people should never be allowed into office, into any position where their beliefs could ever influence what happens to, in or what becomes of this country, and lends strength to the feelings so many of us have that these spoiled, rotten, horrible people should pack their things and please, move to the country you feel is better than the one they are currently slumming off of and disparaging.

I’m guessing you live in a blue state, most likely the same blue state I live in. That kind of thinking (or lack thereof) passes for “Deep Thought” where I’m currently living.

This is a major cop-out. ‘Well what were we supposed to do with them?” Here is a list of things just off the top of my head:
1) Donate them to a cemetary to place on the graves of any and all members of the military currently buried there.
2) Donate them to a local scouting troop to use as they see fit.
3) Contact the local American Legion Post and donate to them to be distributed as they see fit.
4) Recycle them and use them at upcoming rallies in your continuing effort to convince real patirots that you are proud of your country and flag.
Those are just four examples of worthwhile things that takes no time or effort on the part of the B. Hussein O Campaign. Claiming they had no other choice just doesn’t fly with this retired Jake.

These songs are just audio embodiments of the flags that Obama threw away, and those flags are just symbols, symbols of the greatest country on earth.

To those who are still concerned about “Questioning Liberals and Obama’s Patriotism”, I stand by what I have always said:
You cannot question that which does not exist.
they have tried time and time again to reinvent the definition of “Patriotism” and what it means to be a “Patriot”, even to go so far as to besmirch and insult our Founding Fathers and what they had intended to say and do so far as this country is concerned.
The word needs no new definition. A true “Patriot” never need explain why he is a patriot, nor have to convince others that he is.
Actions do speak louder than words. No one questions the patriotism of Eisenhower, Bradley, Doolittle, Powell…
Yet how many times, time and time again, have people REPEATEDLY been left to question Democrats, Liberals and those that speak for them and represent them and their stances.

Sorry about posting twice. Am trying to get the tears out of my eyes from
listening to this young vet and then seeing him walk away with his prosthetic
leg. He never mentioned losing his leg in Iraq, while “The One” squeals like
someone out of Deliverance for being dissed and picked on by the opposition.
If you can’t stand the heat now, BO, what would you do in an international
crisis? Can’t always hold hands and sing kumbaya.

Speaking for myself (that is, IMO) Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh are self-aggrandizing blowhards. They would never be seriously considered. They’re appeal is limited to a portion of the Right. They would never bring in moderates. I would hire Rush to consult with my company’s marketing and public relations departments, though.
Michelle is a journalist, not a politician. Is she even old enough to run? I’m not sure about her. I think I know many of her positions, but I’m not sure how she would translate those into policy statements. Conservatives can be as guilty as the progressives when it comes to trampling on the Constitution. Would she make government smaller, cheaper, less intrusive? Would she get back to the basics of defense, treasury, state, and justice? Would she privatize the National Parks? Drop federal meddling in education? Would she criminalize abortion? Decriminalize marijuana use? Would she clean up the VA?
Maybe she should write an update version of “The Way Things Ought to Be”. Maybe a version that actually put country first before the author’s brand. That would be a great read.

In all honesty, I think ideology and leadership are as important as experience. Ideology is crucial and that is why we have parties.
Let’s say Obama wins and Rush Limbaugh became the Republican nominee for 2012 right out of the booth. I couldn’t imagine most rightwingers not voting for Rush, because he shares their belief system, and has can mobilize followers.
On the other hand if McCain won and Arianna Huffington ran in 2012, she’d get a large portion of the leftwing vote because of policy ideas and ideology.
Would I vote for Arianna? I would NOT if John McCain goes back to his moderate Maverick ways. If his justices are no “worse” than Kennedy or O’Conner and he keeps us safe, gets us out of Iraq and improves the economy, I’d vote for him. If he were to become Bush III, I’d vote for Arianna, because presidents depend on advisors anyway.
It’s only fair that I answer, and I don’t plan to debate because I have football and boxing to watch.

Why did bills in the IL State Senate get appointed to Obummer? Why could he not spontaneously introduce anything? Why has he only introduced 2 actual bills (with his name on them) during his scant 4 year senate career? Why does Obummer always seem to lie about anything he has said, his campaign has done, and even about who actually contributes to his campaign? Why does Obummer claim that only private citizens have given less than 100 bucks when in reality he’s got bundlers and lobbyists not only giving to his campaign but working it as well?
Is this the sort of scumbag that we should have in the White House? You complain bitterly now about Pres. Bush, Obummer will bend over backwards to let all his rich and entitled buddies into that hallowed building with say over Americans’ lives. Obummer says he worried that ordinary citizen taxpayers will get screwed by the big mortgage bailout, then why does he have as the head of his finance committee one of the chief people responsible for the sub-prime mess?
Obummer tumbles all over himself to cover his ass and change any position for whatever group he’s speaking to. Are you libs that in love with nuance? Do you have any respect for the truth or when it’s packed in an interracial, empty suit with a “pious” glow?
I say this: liberal lying trolls like Math Man = community organizer, plagerizing Mr. HopenGlo who will organize America into a crap hole. This goes for MJ, Nyk, and all the other liberals who like to think they have a monopoly on the truth. The problem here is that their Messiah also has a problem with the truth, misleads the public about his “actual record” when he’s nothing more than a puppet on a string.
Obummer’s candidacy is so rich with irony I’m surprised liberals haven’t uncovered it yet. Yet Sarah Palin has been run through the mud continually. Why is that? Perhaps to distract the public from a lot of the problems that also surround the Dem candidate?
Sheeple without any reasoning skills will fall for this Elmer Gantry. At least two of my in-laws count themselves in this group. Ironically, they are educated professionals yet don’t seem to want to seek the truth themselves.

I wouldn’t. They have no experience in say, being a City Councilman, Mayor, chairing an Ethics Committee or being a Governor. Nor had either of them been through the Naval Academy, been an officer in the Navy, and a fighter pilot, or in charge of a Fighter Squadron, then after that neither of them became a Congressman then a Senator. They are media types, authors and such. Now, if they had the kind of experience like I mentioned, I would vote for them.
Oh, if only there was a ticket for President this election period that had people with kind of experience. Then I would surely have the people that I would vote for to become President and Vice President of this country.
Will Obama get boomeranged by the earmark issue as well? I think I’ve read that he was a champ at the sport. I can’t find anything on it now when I google but all the coverage of Obama’s charges against Palin on earmarking swamp my search.

In response to the question “What is a community organizer” I offer what appeared in a recent Patriot Post:
“James Taranto of The Wall Street Journal notes that while Democrats are complaining about putting “the former mayor of a town of 9,000 with zero foreign policy experience a heartbeat away from the presidency,” Obama, the community organizer, will be “no heartbeats away.” And Taranto still isn’t sure what a “community organizer” does. He asks, “Are we supposed to cast our eyes on the slums of Chicago, behold how well organized they are, and exclaim in wonder, ‘Wow, Barack Obama did that!’?”
After receiving an email from David Plouffe of the Obama campaign explaining, “Community organizing is how ordinary people respond to out-of-touch politicians and their failed policies,” Taranto thinks he’s finally got the answer. “[C]ommunity organizing consists of helping elect Barack Obama president!” He concludes, “The community Barack Obama has organized is, in Plouffe’s own telling, the community of those who admire Barack Obama… He is mayor of Obamaville and aspires to be president of Barackistan.”
