Football. Pats 19-0 this season. And of course thinking of the weak attacks the dems made on Palin the list includes: attacks on a 17 year old, “experience”, she doesn’t have a passport, she didn’t really sell the governor’s plane on e-bay, the US Weekly cover, her preacher, her husband’s dui, banning library books, “sambo”, creationism taught in school, friends with Buchanan, wants Alaska to succeed. and NONE of it stuck. Obama is floundering, McCain/Palin up by 4 today.
Today I’m responding to email. Here’s a good one – a neighbor emailed all the women on the block a reminder to vote. She didn’t press who to vote for, she just noted this is an important election for women and we should all get out and vote. What a great idea! That can only help our side, don’t you think?

Obama says yesterday he needs to fight the smears, and the lies. He is right, but for the fact the only smears and lies in this campaign are coming out against the McCain and Palin ticket. This poor excuse for an empty suit just cannot stop whining like a little child about the truth being told about him.

After a soggy day in Richmond yesterday (thanks to Hanna)… I have to get out side. Mountain biking is at the top of my list.
Tonight, I’m working on my resume… I’m ready to say goodbye to Virgina and head to one of the Rocky Mountain states.
Tried to refrain from laughing while Biden was on Meet the Press talking about the surge.
Just mowed the lawn.
Listening to the talking heads now. They are discussing how badly she might do when questioned about world issues… I am worried about that too, but I know she can learn.

Lazy day today. Had late brunch of Belgian waffles and have some work to do to prepare for a budget meeting tomorrow. My better half is doing laundry and catching up phone calls, etc.
Speaking of her doing domestic work, Thanks be to God for the Democrats and their exposing Sarah Palin for what she is not and for enlightening us as to how women are to know their place in this world. Yep, it’s time for women to be a gettin’ back to their roots of cookin’, cleanin’ and hassin’ us sum babies!!! Yessirree, the Dems have sure opened my eyes. We can now get rid of the notion of all of that independant, liberated career woman crap. Back in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant! I bet we even see a referendum introduced to repeal the 19th amendmant. ‘Bout damn time!
Am I the only one who finds it disgustingly insulting to women that the party of tolerance, enlightenment, inclusiveness, women’s rights, equal pay for equal work, the disenfranchised, the down-trodden, the poor, the… (I think you get it), are so intent on destroying Sarah Palin because she did not follow their rules to be where she is at today?
The problem the left has with Palin is that she accomplished her goals without being a victim. She did it by standing on her own two feet and with her husband by her side, not under her feet or in the background paying the bills. How dare she disprove the notion that the left has wrought for the last 35-40 years, that the system will provide for all of your needs. How dare she not believe in killing the unborn? How dare she not pledg her allegiance to the socialist manifesto? This womam must be stopped, and now! She will set their agenda for socialism back 50 years if the American public finds out that she is for real.
All I can say to the Democrats is, “set the dials on your way-back machines and strap yourselves in tight, ’cause the ride is gonna get bumpy”!

Just got back from church, going to do some chores. Yesterday I went to the hardware store and I had my 10 year old nephew, Grant, with me. The radio was on the news, he asked me, uncle Mark, why are people saying bad things about that lady, (Gov. Palin)? I wasn’t sure how to explain it at first. I told him “you how when you have an infected cut and you pour Hydrogen Peroxide on it, it foams up?” “Well our government is like that cut and Gov. Palin is the hydrogen peroxide. They’re foaming up because she is going to clean them up.”
I’m not sure if he understood, but I tried.

Just finished watching This Week with George Stephanopoulos. David Brooks, NYT columnist was on the panel in the last half hour. I am so furious after what he said on the show at the end in reference to Sarah Palin:

Going out for a bicycle ride in the nice weather following yesterday’s rains. Think I need a new bike. After several years of sitting idle it does not seem go up hills as easily as it used to!
Besides strychnine bait, which does work, try Spearmint chewing gum. Sounds like a joke, but it does work. We have been using it on the Church yard and it does control the Little Satans. Open a slit in their trail and drop a stick or two, broken into 3 or 4 small pieces, and drop it in. How it kills them I do not know, but it does.
I use strychnine bait elsewhere but with all the little kids on the lawn I am leery.
After this, a call to my dearest friend. Then iron and pack for a 10 day marathon business trip to the Las Vegas area, leaving tomorrow. I will have some free time there to visit the Star Trek Experience (I hope).
However, I am reminded that the Super Steelers play at 1 so I may move the ironing board to where I can watch some of the game (I’ll try not to scorch the white shirts).

Like your blog 31Bravo. This weekend I helped a workmate of mine move. He is openly gay so I did not bring up politics. I was floored when he said he was worried about an Obama win. I told him I thought he was automatically in the bag for him, he told me that the gay community does not understand the need for a strong country, that is what keeps us free. He did not think that Obama has the ability to keep or even strengthen our country.
He said that the gay community would benefit if they adopted stronger morals. He felt they should stop being inappropriate in public (Folsom St.) and even though AIDS charities are good, they should do more community based things like raise money for children’s cancer or xmas presents for needy children. He felt that the community would be more accepted if they helped more than just themselves while demanding more and more. He admitted that very few gay people felt that way and most of them just enjoyed being victims and therefore voted for candidates who told them that they were victims.
The next time I am feeling down on myself, I am going to think of him and lift myself back up.

Just finished a shocking blog piece where I just discovered that Special Needs People at Invesco Stadium were not welcomed that much at all and caused utter frustration and humiliation to those in wheelchairs and deaf people who wanted equal communication access to Obama’s speech. This was a group of deaf people who couldn’t even see their ADA appointed sign langauge interpreter who was too far away from their “special” ADA box location. And was initially told to “give up” their exclusive floor credentials to Barack Obama’s nomination acceptance speech for some crummy and not so ADA compliant ADA box. Read the shocking story where Obama claimed to be for Americans with Disability Act.
If you thought the disposal of 12000 US flags was a problem, wait until you read my blog about how people with disability were bullied and pushed around at Invesco Stadium that day.

We’ve tried the chemicals (season long and 24hour grub kill) to kill grubs, but at this point, I think they bring grubs to my lawn. I bought a chemical to kill them, which I would pour at the end of their hole and close it. I don’t know if the chemical made them nuts or what, but the next day, it looked like a system of veins in my yard.
The dry ice system sounds tempting, only there are so many miles of mole tunnels, that I’d probably have to bury pounds of dry ice to kill them. If I didn’t, they’d punish me with an entire new system of tunnels.
And gum…that I’ll have to try that.

I have theory….They chew the gum, get the taste of grubs out of their mouth for the first time ever, cannot go back eating grubs, and eventually starve to death.

Just an anecdotal observation- a couple of my Democrat-leaning coworkers finally came over to the McCain side last week. Listening to them, it seems to have more to do with Liberman’s speech than the Sarah Palin thing. I think the Liberman effect is going underrated.
Got back from church, ate some KFC, then unfortunately saw Wolf Bliztkrieg and his happy warriors. Babs Boxer is such a loser. I don’t watch CNN regularly but only to see how they are covering things. People of CA why do you put this twit Boxer in office? James raging Cajon Carville going on about the little town mayor, no passport, etc.Sometimes Wolf will balance it out but for the most part he lets liberalism dominate. Hopefully cheer up later with football.

I caught Governor Palin’s speech on the radio Wed. night and it was brilliant!!!
