This why I don’t trust the lesser of the two evils. Palin should be running for president and McAmnesty should be back in the senate making deals with the democrats.

If it weren’t for the actions of McCain, Sarah Palin would be happy to stay as governor of Alaska, doing her job. The job she wanted, ran for, and was elected to.

Palin didn’t run for president, because she didn’t want to. It took McCain … you know, the guy who got the most votes and became the GOP nominee because of all the people who voted for him in the republican primary … to give us Palin. After McCain, Palin can decide to go back to Alaska and live her happy life, or continue with politics on the national level. If she is as wonderful as she seems so far, and if she is as conservative as she seems so far and does continue …

Then you owe John McCain a debt of gratitude for what he did. And if you want Sarah Palin to go further in politics, then you need to vote for McCain and Sarah Palin so they can defeat Obama and Biden.

I’ve detailed the evidence. We’ve had the same argument over and over and the only argument against McCain is McAmnesty, lesser of two evils, repeat. Anybody that’s opposed to amnesty and doesn’t vote McCain is effectively guaranteeing that it will happen. Anybody that thinks an Obama presidency will somehow bring about the second coming of Reagan is also mistaken, because if you remember correctly, Reagan gave us the biggest amnesty in history.

There comes a time when each responsible citizen has to make a moral call for the country.
Americans should stop ANYONE who sells-out America.. be it Bushs/Clintons/Juan McCain or ‘Driver’s licenses for illegals’ Obama. GOP had a perfect candidate in Tom Tancredo. Tancredo was RIGHT for America. But GOP itself did not stand behind it’s own beliefs, thus proving their betryal. No matter who wins the presidential elections, America will loose. We have analyzed the situation and see it quite differently.

For me, Palin could help me change my decision. I haven’t heard enough to know yet. I will continue to listen, to see if she can influence McCain… or to see if he ends up influencing her instead.

What I have yet to see from any McCainiac, is even a willingness to listen to our reasoning. Instead it comes out more like the Dems fight. ‘You’re just dumb!’ lol

Until I can debate with someone who will at least listen, and attempt to understand the arguments that would cause a conservative to not vote for McCain, there’s nothing to keep bickering about.

That’s pretty scary if you ask me. Anyway, I’m getting pretty good at passing over the posts I can see are restating the same old arguments that have been typed and retyped for months now.

It’s not that we don’t get what you’re saying… we get it quite well. Retyping it a thousand times won’t help at all because we ‘got it’ several months ago, we simply see a different logical path. Maybe try to understand it so we can have true debates which are the only kind that truly have a chance at changing minds.

If the GOP party gets “crushed” it will probably be reincarnated as something MORE liberal. The democrats are becoming pure socialists at this point and if they keep winning the party will want to move left in order to compete.

Regardless, you don’t gain influence by losing elections.

The only way of doing it is to elect McCain and hold his feet to the fire. I have asked both of you repeatedly to disprove what I have said here and…nothing until the next Daddy Yankee thread.

This isn’t about stopping amnesty, which I am all on board with. This is about not electing McCain, which means that you will be helping to elect Obama. Which means Amnesty. So either you are actually FOR amnesty or you are FOR Obama or you have an extra “go to” line in your programming that brings you right back to the start of your your “I hate amnesty so I am going to help bring about amnesty” pitch regardless of whatever reason and logic is thrown at you.

And folks wonder why I get frustrated.
