Rice and racial beans at the State Department

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 9, 2008 11:18 AM

Condi Rice is so wrong.

She thinks what the State Department needs is skin-based diversity. Here she is, counting racial beans the way the Left always does — and talking like Bill “Looks Like America” Clinton. Wrong, wrong, wrong:

Rice laments lack of black diplomats

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Monday it was “unacceptable” that there were so few black people like herself in the US diplomatic corps.

“I want to see a Foreign Service that looks as if black Americans are part of this great country,” Rice told a gathering of black colleges and universities in Washington.

“I have lamented that I can go into a meeting at the Department of State,” said Rice, the second black person to become secretary of state after her predecessor Colin Powell.

“And, as a matter of fact, I can go into a whole day of meetings at the Department of State and actually rarely see somebody who looks like me, and that’s just not acceptable,” she added.

Who cares what they look like? It’s what they think like that matters. As I’ve blogged here many , many, many, many , many , many , many times over the years, Foggy Bottom is plagued by CAIR capitulationists and America-lasters who put appeasement above American sovereignty.

We should worry less about skin pigment, and more about skin thickness. We should worry less about skin lightness or darkness, and more about dhimmitude.

I’ll be blunt: Hearing such 9/10 talk from the Secretary of State on the seventh anniversary week of the 9/11 attacks makes me want to throw up.

Meanwhile, here’s the latest Looks Like Al Qaeda graphic for you:

A jury in the U.K. has found three men guilty of conspiracy to murder in the trans-Atlantic airline “liquid bomb” plot.

Abdulla Ahmed Ali, Assad Sarwar and Tanvir Hussain were found guilty of plotting to kill “persons unknown,” but not necessarily on planes.

The prosecutor told jurors during the trial that the men planned to attack United Airlines, American Airlines and Air Canada flights by smuggling liquid explosives onto jets and detonating them in-flight.

Another thing that saddens me as an American is how black culture perceives achievement. How many times have we all seen the “blame whitey” routine for all the ills of the black community? How have blacks risen to the challenge of an changing world and country that is leaving them behind? That’s the reality I saw as a teacher where many of my minority students struggled with skills that many of my white students had already mastered.

There are many blacks who are too quick to ask “where’s mine” instead of figuring out how to improve their own lives. Even many liberal blacks look down on their conservative brethren for “leaving the plantation” and seeking answers outside the usual, liberal prism. Blacks’ answer to failure is community organization. If you need some outsider like Obummer telling you how to live, then you’ve bought into the federal government as Big Daddy.

There are many people in this country who don’t believe in taking responsibility for their own lives if it isn’t directed by some federal program. This is why the public schools are failing, and why so many social welfare programs are a joke. Why do people think that there are so many illegal kids going to our schools?

I’m seeing no original ideas coming from the black community. I’m not seeing them in education where all I’m seeing is how to make our kids more like robots than independent-thinking people. This is why things like the drug culture, babies without daddies (or even both parents), crime flourish because kids have no direction due to there’s nobody at home giving them the parameters at home.

The State Department is a rudderless boat with no direction accept kissing the cheeks of dictators and paying lip service to the ideas that used to stand for something in this country. We’re all a country of victims trying to empathize with a global community of dictators and weak-kneed pissants. An America without back bone will never be able to confront and adapt to a changing world.

I guess this is why we have a “world citizen” running for president, right?

It reminds me of an article maybe a year ago that said something to the effect of the state of Maine loosing its federal funding for their colleges because there weren’t enough black people. Well, the state’s population of blacks is like 1%. Maybe they don’t like the cold- who knows… but how are you going to meet a federal quota when the entire population is only 1%? They were trying to recruit black people to go to college in Maine, so Maine didn’t loose money.

Here’s the thing- in addition to it being wrong- must have a quota of X% of people with this or that skin color (and whites are not measured in that standard), regardless of intellect… how are you going to make the black people get involved???

You know why there are not more blacks in Washington politics? BECAUSE THEY DON’T WANT TO BE!!!! If they wanted to be there, they would! Same with Maine- if they wanted to go to College there, they would! Otherwise, they’re going to hang and attend in Georgia!

You can’t make people do anything, especially when it’s simply exploiting a person’s skin color to make certain appearances. Why would black people wanted to be exploited like that, anyway?

Because they think this grants them the the perceived “privileges” that Caucasians have (not).

The only privileges that I have seen for my entire 47 years is those granted to minorities and denied Caucasians. This equates to Government sponsored racism against whites, because benefits and privileges are denied based solely on race or skin color.

When will we stop punishing people in our country just because they were born with a “whitish” skin color and arbitrarily “reward” based on any color other than a “whitish” color?

Are they applying? are they qualified? Are they studying and going to school to become them? Are they passing the tests?

Or do we need to change the tests, lower the requirements, place them into the classes, change the qualifications…

Hmmmm….almost like there is a pattern.

Condi, can you send an angry letter to Mexico. Please tell them to stop the INVASION!

Go ahead and give yourself a bonus on the tax payer dime. Your doing such a great job allowing all those Muslims into this country who love our way of life. Just like the ones found guilty of terrorism in the UK.

And how does this happen? If history serves, un-pigmented people will lose their jobs and pigmented people will take them.

After a trillion dollars has been spent.

Racism is alive and well in America.

Affirmative Action and minority privileges are unconstitutional. PERIOD.

If we, as a country, want to assist anyone who has unjustifiably been “held down”, then the first course of action is to bring charges against the criminal that “held them down”.

It is unconstitutional to take action on a whole race due to the actions of a few (and I do mean a few – read your history).

Over at the Border Patrol there is a huge disparity of Hispanics being hired with numbers reaching like 80% and climbing.

The last time I checked that is the exact opposite of the make up of this country, in other words it is racist.

Where is all the outrage at the Border Patrol that it does not look like America?

I am so sick and tired of the affirmative action racism in this country.

Condi is clueless just like the rest of the parasites of the Washington DC elite.

It is OUR money, WASTED TAX DOLLARS being poured out into programs, that address the barest concerns, it doesn’t advance us far enough or the people we purport to help. It isn’t the amount of money, it is the way the money is used. That is on STATE DEPARTMENTS WATCH. Condi Rice is concerned about Diversity in the State Department. Why is she not concerned about Performance – her own, she is the Secretary of State. The Americans paying TAXES, are all colors. First she should “Take an Inventory” of her own accomplishments, including improving The State Department’s Performance. She can call it, Operation Priorities.

I am so disappointed in Condi Rice. I have always admired her greatly. I thought she was a cut above. To my dismay, she’s lowered herself to Jesse Jackson’s level. She obviously no longer wants to be judged by the content of her character (which is exemplary) but rather by the color of her skin. Shame on her.

My finacee that moved her from India agress with me too. Thank God she is colorblind.
