Rice and racial beans at the State Department

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 9, 2008 11:18 AM

Condi Rice is so wrong.

She thinks what the State Department needs is skin-based diversity. Here she is, counting racial beans the way the Left always does — and talking like Bill “Looks Like America” Clinton. Wrong, wrong, wrong:

Rice laments lack of black diplomats

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Monday it was “unacceptable” that there were so few black people like herself in the US diplomatic corps.

“I want to see a Foreign Service that looks as if black Americans are part of this great country,” Rice told a gathering of black colleges and universities in Washington.

“I have lamented that I can go into a meeting at the Department of State,” said Rice, the second black person to become secretary of state after her predecessor Colin Powell.

“And, as a matter of fact, I can go into a whole day of meetings at the Department of State and actually rarely see somebody who looks like me, and that’s just not acceptable,” she added.

Who cares what they look like? It’s what they think like that matters. As I’ve blogged here many , many, many, many , many , many , many times over the years, Foggy Bottom is plagued by CAIR capitulationists and America-lasters who put appeasement above American sovereignty.

We should worry less about skin pigment, and more about skin thickness. We should worry less about skin lightness or darkness, and more about dhimmitude.

I’ll be blunt: Hearing such 9/10 talk from the Secretary of State on the seventh anniversary week of the 9/11 attacks makes me want to throw up.

***

Meanwhile, here’s the latest Looks Like Al Qaeda graphic for you:

A jury in the U.K. has found three men guilty of conspiracy to murder in the trans-Atlantic airline “liquid bomb” plot.

Abdulla Ahmed Ali, Assad Sarwar and Tanvir Hussain were found guilty of plotting to kill “persons unknown,” but not necessarily on planes.

The prosecutor told jurors during the trial that the men planned to attack United Airlines, American Airlines and Air Canada flights by smuggling liquid explosives onto jets and detonating them in-flight.

I know what you are going to say, they are against her, Palin for different reasons but I don’t think a certain, one’s, muslim faith has anything to do with his widespread ME support. The real story is not women with guns or women with gripes it’s the middle east in general, they’re angry that Bush has gone after the islamists. It’s an outright, well as outright as they get, declaration of the support for the islamists. It is the story of the failure of US diplomats to see the forest for the trees. Perhaps because all they are looking for are smiling faces.

In related news the pols are worried about American internal NBC security. They let in the future perpetrators, heck, in many cases they gave them jobs in the guvment. But don’t worry they are going to make things safe for everyone. Maybe that’s why the dems have put up a community organizer in chief as their candidate. What bothers me is that with the conditions that they have created the only way to prevent it is a totalitarian state. Turning the whole country in to an airport security zone, What they have allowed and continue to deny really has me angry. Well saying that it is “not acceptable” when the “head count” lacks enough of a particular “color”, is racist because it implies that a wrong has occurred to prevent this color from being seen more in these positions.

What other “not acceptable” action is responsible for the outcome (when taken in context with her words)?

To be non-racist, she would have used a completely different phrase instead of lamenting about color of faces.

“I don’t understand why more African Americans do not pursue these jobs” would have been better. The way she said it implied pure racism.

I am tired of underachievement or the lack of color in positions (or the abundance of color in prisons) being blamed on others or being “unacceptable”.

Go to the source (the black community) and correct (or encourage), but do not use the phrase “not acceptable”. Who is it not acceptable to..you? and why is this of concern to the rest of us unless racism is implied?
