Just received from reader Jeff: The latest, desperate plea from Obama’s Palin-bashing backers at Us Weekly magazine to stop the bleeding. (You’ll recall that on Sep 5., I posted the first groveling missive from the rag’s customer service department urging readers to read the smear-filled article before canceling. Oops. Bad advice.)

Of course, you didn;t realize that the story you ae referrencing has already been shot down and shown to be not true, that she has saved more money, that what she did was actually legal, and her entire expenses in that area were less than her predecessor’s wife’s travel expenses.

Does anyone know if the editor in charge of said article and cover that has been costing the magazine unknown millions of dollars in real and future revenue, as well as countless readers still has a job? Because I understand The Golden Calf may be looking for new PR people. Especially after seeing that he has learned nothing from his meteoric drop in the polls recently as witnessed by the latest comments he and the man married to the woman he can’t keep his lips off of have been making over the last 24 hours.
Yeah, five more issues so subscribers can read all the whining when McCain/Palin win in November.

Ummm…has anyone seen the lame and tasteless Sarah Palin action figures highlighted in a short Us Magazine article (bearing the animated headline to which I won’t provide a link: “Sarah Palin’s a Doll!”)? One figure is Sarah in a pantsuit (not the tasteless one - schlocky, maybe), another has her in a naughty schoolgirl outfit (red bra included), and the third has her looking like a slutty action hero in a short skirt and leather trenchcoat (gun holster included). I wonder (not) which one is going to sell the most. Way to maintain your readership by providing this information with typical tabloid zeal and reminding us once again that Sarah’s daughter is pregnant, Us. And they expect to get people back by bribing them with more issues?

I love the panic Governor Palin has created in the O campaign as well as all those who thought this election was in the bag! O’s and the MSM’s cockiness and arrogance have become out of control. Their presumptive (until last week) nominee is no longer the presumptive winner.
Isn’t it amazing that despite the overwhelming, brainwashing, saturating campaigning for O by the MSM, that even before Sarah came along (and I am SO happy she did), the polls showed almost a 50/50 split? Meaning of course, that half this country is right wing, but is abused and neglected by the MSM, which backfires on them every time.
If Barbara Walters had put a balanced panel on her women’s chat show, even I would watch it, with two lefties and two righties having healthy honest debates. I don’t ever watch it.
MTV should now pay the price for allowing that uneducated, unwashed, uninformed mediocre, foreign pop person to host a show and insult our president on national TV, while rooting for someone he knows nothing about. When I watched a couple of clips on Fox, I saw even some of the audience members look uncomfortable. The only reason he did this is because of the MSM which never stops bashing America and is always rooting for the left, on a world-wide stage.

I am not a subscriber. Nonetheless, I did purchase this particular magazine in order to better determine for myself exactly what the fuss was all about, and, if necessary, to teach my neighbour’s puppy Bruno to pee on it (if it was as bad as I’d heard.)
You’ll be pleased to know that nine-month old Bruno took a liking to your magazine, for he happily urinated and then deficated on it. Unfortunately, Lisa (my neighbour’s daughter) neglected to recharge the batteries in the digital camera, so there are no photographs of the event.
But it did take place this afternoon at 16:57hrs local time.
This is what your ‘product’ has become. The job of a reporter is to report the news fairly, impartially, and without political bias. With your smear issue against Gov Palin and her family, you have crossed that line.
Frankly, if I were in charge there, I would hand all of you your walking papers and escort you out.
Let us not forget how Rolling Stone, another Jann Wenner publication, attempted to deify Mr Obama recently. And the other Wenner publications also cast Obama in a very favourable light.
Your job, if you were unbiased, would have been to attempt to balance the article(s) about both of them. Again, you have failed.
I am not a subscriber, nor do I wish to become one. Yet if you were to throw five free issues my way, feel free. I would make quite certain that Lisa (my neighbour’s daughter) had fully recharged the camera’s batteries to ensure that we could photograph Bruno as he again deficated and urinated upon them.
I would tell you to provide unbiased coverage, but you would not. I have already contacted your subscribers, but fear that they don’t want to lose the cash cow that your products are.

I was like that too and now I wish I could do an 8th / 9th step and make amends to all of the people I used to rant to like an idiot. The one thing I will not tolerate is an infringement on my free speech. If they want to use the Canadian model to bring people to court to defend their opinions, I think that will probably be the single most compelling thing that will inform the rest of the world as to what is really going on in the US with the left. I truly don’t think Europe gets what we are going through with the left and having to defend our speech. It’s scary enough that so-called American journalists have thrown the quest for truth out in lieu of Pravda style cover ups and fluff aritcles on their preferred candidates for their own cause. Now we’re going to get sued for our opinions if we dare disagree with the left? I’m sick. The 2nd Amendment comes in more and more handy every day.
