I didn’t say he listened to Obama. As you say, he has no reason to do that. But it did turn out that Obama was right. Even Bush eventually figured that out.

If a tax law restricts the market from creating something of value by taxing the incentive to provide it (capital gains of the investing class) the ECONOMY tanks and capital outflows elsewhere.

You are right, but even that approach is fraught with danger for Obama. He knows what the issues are, he just can’t discuss them intelligently and retain the ability to defend his liberal positions. He can’t risk being called upon to explain how he will pay for them and not actually raise everyone’s taxes. He depends on the 10-15 second soundbite to be able to promise things like, “I will cut taxes for 100 million of the lowest-income Americans”. What he doesn’t say is that his pledge is hollow. Those 100 million low income folks are not paying taxes and are indeed receiving the Earned Income Credit, which is a credit back to you, not a tax paid. He is proposing to as much as triple the EIC. Somebody has to pay for that. He means for the “wealthy” to pay. No matter what minimum income figures he throws around, it will come from those of us in the middle of the spectrum.
Even if he raises taxes on only the very high income earners, which includes a lot of small business owners, they will simply pass it on to us in the cost of the goods and services we purchase from them. Which is inflationary, which reduces buying power. Net effect on our bank accounts is the same. We lose. Econ 101.

Flinchy had met with Petraeus who probably KNEW before Flinchy descended from the heavens that re-deployment to AFG was even a credible military option. Flinchy saw it as a “Political” opportunity to steal the thunder of it all and say”See? I was right.”

I do indeed have a lot of problems with Governor Palins running mate but that is not one of them.

Yes, Brigades from the surge that Bambi said wouldn’t work. Yes that will get us down to pre surge levels. Personally I will be thrilled when we can quit Iraq, the Gulf, the Balkans, Europe and Korea. We should not engage around Russia and make damn sure they do not engage over here. And if the rest of the world loves us or hates us it will not matter.
And if some bad boy threatens Europe, Asia or the Gulf let Europe, Asia and the Gulf handle it. Obama ready to lead? Where? To Mecca, the Hague, Turtle Bay? We are not amused.

Hillary and the other Democrats couldn’t attack his far left positions or his radical relationships because to do so would have alienated the Democrat Primary base. Not to mention, as Democrats, they had a taboo against attacking any person of color.

Obama the candidate is a sheltered mama’s boy, coming to a tough public school for the first time, and the mean kids are stealing his lunch money and giving him a wedgy. And all he can do is hope his mama (the MSM) will come to his rescue.
