Perhaps lipstick on a pig is a shot at McCain and not Palin.

Either way, Sarah Palin is a smart, talented, and let’s be honest, gorgeous woman.

Men want her, women want to be her, and if Joe Biden had 10% of her charisma, the democrats would not be going apoplectic.

Yes, the party that is all style and no substance is angry that McCain chose a woman with both in abundance.

Nothing has changed except for an exciting and sexy dash of lipstick to freshen up their tired old face of more of the same.

The same people who do not like the Bush Administration for what it has done to this nation are not going to be fooled by the lipstick on the pig. And it they think that the American public are so stupid that they will rush over now and kiss their pig of a platform because it is wearing a fresh touch of lipstick, well I think they will be surprised. Economically, the majority of Americans are at the breaking point. Most American families literally cannot stand another four more years of the same.

That is exactly why we had so many Republicans giving testimony at our convention as to why they were crossing over. The message was the same: They simply could no longer afford to vote Republican. Palin does not change that message. She is more of the same.

And the Malkin demagoguery and fake outrage continues. The far left and right punditry and blogosphere in this country has become a caricature of itself at this point. Same is true of both the Democratic and Republican parties. I’m a right of center independent and will be voting for McCain (and reluctantly for Palin because I’m not permitted to split the ticket), but this election cycle and the whole disgusting and superficial political process makes me feel like sitting the whole thing out at times.

Isn’t it interesting the double-standard that is at work on the mainstream media? Apparently it is not OK to have liberal commentators such as Olbermann and Matthews making their left-wing biased comments and yet mainstream media see no issue will allowing right-wing bigots like Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Alan Colmes, Brit Hume, Brian Wilson, John Gibson, etc., to continue to spew their right-wing bigoted hatred and biased reporting to American citizens.

They know what they’re doing. I can only hope that it backfires and alienates moderates and idependents.

    1. This victimzation of Sarah Palin can:

-cost McCain the election. (I hope so.)

-get enough shrill, close minded women to join the victimation campaign, and help McCain win the campaign.

-set the spin going for Palin to quit the campaign if a) there’s something really damaging on her out there that can’t be overcome, or b) she proves to not be ready for primetime and becomes a liability.
She could quit in a teary press conference where she mentions protecting her family 2 dozen times. The repubs will hope the illogical female outrage will cause them to vote against Obama.

I guess we’ll see how it plays out, but the “gender card” is obviously deliberate in the McCain camp.

I gotta get back to work, so I won’t be debating further. Peace.

Regarding the economy, McCain will stimulate growth because he has faith in the market of capitalism. Obama is too heavy on the tax side, mainly because he’s too afraid to say no in spite of being free of “lobbyists.”
