You fools. That page is a compliment to Governor Palin. The McCain campaign is the pig and Governor Palin’s life story is the lipstick.

Some of you will be glad to know that I’ll mostly be staying away from this site until after the election. I didn’t start reading Michelle Malkin until after 2004, so I didn’t know what she was like come election time.

She is outrageous, intellectually dishonest, and repeats herself like a broken record. Any outrageous thing said by an individual about Sarah Palin is attributed to liberals. In one case, she refused to provide proof of anything odious being said. And now she’s making up things out of thin air. The phrase “lipstick on a pig,” the same phrase used by John McCain in reference to Hillary Clinton’s policies only a year ago, is not offensive. Only a moron could take offense to it.

The “good” Michelle Malkin (as opposed to the Evil Malkin of the past few weeks) calls politicians of every stripe (mostly liberals, but conservatives too) on their BS. She brings out stories that don’t get a lot of play. But this is giving muckraking a bad (worse?) name. The stuff on this site is now beyond parody.

I now wonder if McCain picked Palin just to use the sexist card the first chance he got. Quite a ticket you all have. I am very excited to be back here on this site in November rubbing your noses in your inevitable loss.

Your arguments are FOS. You think McCain and Gov Palin read some obscure web page on a democratic site and crafted a speech around it? Do you think if either of you were writing an acceptance speech for the Vice President of the United States you would be perusing blogs that same day while writing and practicing to deliver the most important speech of your life? If you believe that I’ve got some land in Florduh for you.

    B. Hussein Obambi’s remarks directly refer to Gov. Palin as a pig. It is plain and clear to the rest of us what he meant. He can’t be enough of a man as Michelle O and own up to it. I for one would never vote for a sniveling wanker such as B. Hussein Obambi.

Slow down there Rusty. I take you got here recently. I was posting earlier that I’m giving Obama the benefit of the doubt on this one. I don’t believe he meant to insult Palin with his pig remark.

That being said, there are lots of people out there that do believe it was an attack on her. Obama was on TV earlier today and he could’ve just said he was sorry if anyone was offended. That would’ve been the end of the story. The fact that he didn’t is what makes me mad. He’s either too arrogant or too stupid to realize that he offended a lot of people with this remark. That’ll keep this issue going and make sure that the women voters who switched to McCain will not go back to Obama.

McCain’s Selection of Palin is Lipstick on a Pig over at http://www.democrats.org
Republicans offer more of the same. Palin is a red herring, lipstick on the Republican pig to distract Americans

Bob Beckel made a remark about Sarah Palin being a pig on Fox News the other day.

Beckel says, “I thought she said the difference in her speech, the difference between a socc- or a hockey mom and a Rottweiler was—or maybe it was a pig—was lipstick, right?”

Rep. Russ Carnahan also took a swipe at Palin.

“For all his tough talk [McCain] buckled to the right wing of his party in his choice. Picked someone with zero experience in national government, zero experience in foreign affairs. There’s no way you can dress up that record, even with a lot of lipstick,” he said.

Gee, I wonder who Carnahan is talking about here? Could it be Sarah Palin?

“What’s the difference between a Hockey Mom and a Pitbull? LIPSTICK!”. Well, are we supposed to believe that Obama and Carnahan aren’t aware of the analogy?

All of this is just a coincidence?

Bob Beckel uses the same line as Obama, but of course Obama wasn’t directing it at Palin!

Incorrect. After his “botched” pig-Palin joke Obama still kept schlumping through it, according to the AP:

“In his speech Tuesday, Obama followed up the comments by saying that Palin’s is an interesting story, drawing boos at the mention of her name and trying to cut them off.

“Look, she’s new, she hasn’t been on the scene, she’s got five kids”

Every news article I’ve read notes that the audience made the immediate connection with Palin when he delivered his hilarious botched joke. Also note in the video they start guffawing at the Dem’s “lipstick” Palin reference when he had just started the line.

Of course, you could argue that’s because Obama is even slower than his followers, but I don’t know that ya really wanna go there.

How can you defend what McCain said and oppose what Obama said WHEN THEY SAID THE SAME EXACT THING!

Par for your relativistic course, Rusty, but a dishonest argument. Who was self-identified with lipstick jokes in an extremely public venue, watched by record millions, just days before McCain “SAID THE EXACT SAME THING”?

The bottom line: Obama stepped in it in a major way. Americans didn’t like it, and it’ll cost him even more votes. If he were to honestly and humbly apologize it might help slow his dropping poll numbers , but he really took careful aim and opened both barrels at his toes with this one.

I find this unusual because his normal retort would be that he does not know what he meant because he can’t get inside of his head. Funny he managed to get inside of his head this time.

In this case Obama just bet wrong.

He also writes about the Weathermen’s sexual experimentation as they tried to ”smash monogamy.” The Weathermen were ”an army of lovers,” he says, and describes having had different sexual partners, including his best male friend.

Obama’s a hypocrite, and you know it.

Once he won the Iowa caucuses, he’s been priming the nation to believe that if he got seriously challenged, it would be due to racism. Remember that part of his stump speech in which he says “They want to scare you about Barack…” At first, he said his opponents would say, “Did I mention he’s black?” Then he modified the line, saying “He’s not like the Presidents on those dollar bills.”

Think that wasn’t about race? You don’t have to believe me, but you do have to believe Obama’s campaign director.

Obama Strategist Calls McCain’s Attack Ad Insulting; McCain Camp Defends It

    By MARK MOONEY
    Aug. 1, 2008—

Sen. Barack Obama’s chief strategist conceded that the Democratic presidential candidate was referring to his race when he said Republicans were trying to scare voters by suggesting Obama “doesn’t look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills.”

The comment had triggered a charge Thursday from Sen. John McCain’s campaign manager that Obama had “played the race card… from the bottom of the deck.”

    Playing the Race Card

Obama’s camp initially denied the remark was a reference to Obama’s race.

Obama is poised to become the first black man to be the presidential nominee of a major political party when he claims the Democratic nomination on Aug. 28 — the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

“He was referring to the fact that he didn’t come into the race with the history of others,” Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs said Thursday. “It is not about race.”

But Obama’s chief strategist, David Axelrod, acknowledged on “Good Morning America” Friday that the candidate was referring, at least in part, to his ethnic background.

When pressed to explain the comment, Axelrod told “GMA” it meant, “He’s not from central casting when it comes to candidates for president of the United States. He’s new to Washington. Yes, he’s African-American.” [...]

Rusty, MistressJustice, all you guys know it’s true: If Palin had said in her RNCC speech “Let’s call a spade a spade,” there’s no way you would have perceived it as innocent. In fact, you would have gone (ahem) hog wild.

BTW – where were you guys when Obama’s camp stood idly by while TPM, Bill Press, Bob Herbert and Keith Olbermann accused the McCain camp of trying to activate latent racism with subliminal images suggesting Obama was going to bonk all their daughters?

Rusty…if you watched the video at all you saw the reaction to the crowd as Obama says the first part of the line, that they CLEARLY are reacting to it as if it is a jab at Palin. Whether you agree or not whether it was intentional, the crowd obviously takes it that way. As has a huge portion of the viewing public. Your anger about this is reflective of the Democrats anger at the fact that they are getting decimated in the polls, and are flailing like crazy at Palin to try an make anything stick.

The more they flail, the more desperate they get. Even the AP said the connection was clear before the Obama camp got ahold of them and made tehm change the story.

    From Nedral Pickler AP stringer:

“You can put lipstick on a pig,” he said to an outbreak of laughter, shouts and raucous applause from his audience, clearly drawing a connection to Palin’s joke even if it’s not what Obama meant. “It’s still a pig.”

Now it is strangly absent from all AP stories now
