I will never forget working at the QVC call center and getting calls wondering why we were still on the air. After a couple of hours we had ceased broadcasting – it was the first time in their history. It was sad beyond belief. May God be with their families.

I invite you to read Daniel Pipes 2002 article, "A New Round Of Anger And Humiliation: Islam After 9/11" which tells how the Muslim world's first reaction to Sep 11 was to celebrate, how Muslims rooted for the jihadis when they seemed to win without opposition, and how Muslims abandoned jihadis when they lost. Pipes argues that Muslims are provoked by a weak response to terror and are cowed by a strong response. While Obama counsels negotiation with our Muslim enemies, Pipes points out persuasively that there is no substitute for victory. Applied to the election, Obama is the candidate of retreat and defeat. McCain is the candidate of victory.

I knew passenger Jeff Mladenik. We grew up in a small suburb of Chicago. I will never forget attending his funeral-his older children supporting his lovely wife as she clung to their youngest child. I’ll never forget what happened this day-the fear,disbelief and anger. I’ll see that my children know all about this day and never forget either.
