RINO tool calls Palin “cocky wacko”
You know, I was going to try and refrain from P.D.S. alerts on the blog today during my 9/11 anniversary coverage.
Matt Damon and Roger Ebert? And that South Carolina Democrat party chairman? Eh.
But this latest outbreak can’t go unremarked. Former GOP Sen. Lincoln Chafee, RINO tool-turned-nutroots darling, trashed Gov. Palin at a left-wing gathering. Classic projection:
Former Rhode Island Republican Sen. Lincoln Chafee has called vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin a “cocky wacko” and said her selection as John McCain’s running mate has energized supporters of Democrat Barack Obama.
Chafee left the Republican Party last year after losing his bid for re-election and now supports Obama. He told an audience Tuesday at the New America Foundation in Washington that the Alaska governor has revived a “lackluster McCain candidacy.”
…”People were coming into my office, phone calls were flooding in, e-mails were coming in, ‘I just sent money to Obama, I couldn’t sleep last night’ — from the left. To see this cocky wacko up there,” Chafee said to laughter.
“Cocky wacko” is RINO tool-speak for self-confident conservative woman.

After losing his daddy’s senate seat is more accurate. Lincoln didn’t quite measure up to daddy’s legacy, except in his own mind.
Had he not spent so much time and money trying to destroy Mayor Laffey in the primary he might have had a shot. Even Laffey could have beaten Whitehouse in a walk.
If Chafee’s phone rings once a day, I’d be surprised and it probably would be a telemarketer.

I think it’s a stretch to even call Chafee a RINO. He, and his father, never had real jobs. Chafee, like his father, has always been a politician.
This guy is a liberal, first and foremost. He was only ever a Republican symbolically. He never served his constitutuents unless it had some benefit for his political career.
I’m glad this “RINO” is gone. Perhaps, it’s time to clean house once and for all and start from scratch, eh?
A follow-up on my earlier post, the most remarkable thing about Palin is that she has, in an amazingly brief time, reversed that equation vis-a-vis Republicans and donkeys.
It wasn’t too long ago that the Hopenchange groupies were enthused, and we were afraid.
For that reason alone, McCain’s choice of Palin was a brilliant, and probably decisive move.

I would put my money on McCain against Obama in a game of chess. Obama alienates Hillary with his Annie Oakley comments, then does not select a woman as his running mate. Instead he selects a VEEP running mate to counter his lack of experience.
Seeing an opening McCain goes for the checkmate with a master move, gaining support of conservatives, women and men and those who are tired of the elitists.
Now the pawns are running around getting knocked off one by one, as the strategy of Obama has failed badly. Even Biden is saying Hillary would have made a better choice.
The more nonsense these left wingers make, the better the choice of Palin looks.

The reason is simple: he has a huge staff of people who are used to getting the big bucks (and will expect the same in an Obama Administration). I’m from RI, but I was stationed in VA when Chafee ran in 2000. I saw a debate on C-Span and was horrified that he apologized for most GOP stances while supporting most of Gore’s platforms.
