Don’t read this tribute to Barbara Olson by Lucianne Goldberg without a full box of tissues.

Forgive me, I didn’t have tissues… I used my sleeve. Thank you, Michelle…. may over 1,000 posters read this and understand why we’re angry.
Barbara Olson and Sarah Palin share many qualities.
You don’t see that often. Today seven years ago is often called a tragedy. It was a massacre.
I’m glad to be here to share this day of remembrance. These stories only strengthen my resolve.
That’s the difference between me seven years ago and me now.
9/11 was a day that tested the mettle of Americans, and they stepped up.
We are all impoverished as a nation with the loss of Barbara Olsen and the other courageous Americans on those flights.
Never forget.
A beautiful tribute.
My brother was with American at the time.As part of their Ambassador program he was sent to be with the Olson family after 9/11.
He doesn’t talk about it.
The death of Barbara Olson was one of the things that tore my heart out the most.
I really miss her.
Amen
I had not read the U.S. Constitution for thirty years. The day after the attach I reread it. I’ve never been the same. Please folks, take a look at that wonderful document and remind yourselves why this country is special.
I miss seeing and hearing Barbara Olsen on TV. I feel so sorry for Ted and THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. She was a great woman and human being.

Am not sad, am OUTRAGED…may justice be served so that innocence slain was not in vain.
I should have taken today off, as more often than not I’ve had my office door closed as I read these memorials to those who have been lost.

It is time to get serious and Enforce Our Constitution.
There are a number of domestic enemies of our Constitution who are in postitions of power in our own government.
It’s time to get serious about the problem, and get them out of our government.
9/10/01 – Comply and let the delta force save you.
9/12/01 – Try to take the cockpit because you are going to die anyway and this way you don’t take others with you.
Wow, I almost HAD forgotten, and now the tears are flowing again.
I remember being kind of shocked and angry all day, trying to work in the office and process what was happening. When I got home that evening, I turned on the TV and saw Barbara’s picture on the screen. I was just a fan, having enjoyed her many TV appearences. It was then that the deaths really hit me and I cried for the first time that day.
After my son was born in early 2000, I spent many afternoons cuddling him and watching Hardball (quite a combination!). I had never known much about Barbara Olson before then, but I LOVED to watch her take on CM. She was so wise, had great commentary and was just a smart, classy person. I especially cried when I heard she was on the plane that hit the Pentagon; it just felt so “personal.” This woman I loved to watch was gone.
thanks Michelle
said what I had to say to Ted and about Barbara on the first thread of the day.
You won’t ever be 4gotten.
SCREW YOU DEATHCULT and all those
who have emboldened and enabled them for the last 7 years.
Michelle,
my link might be faulty but I missed the list of those who were murdered
with Barbara?
I never actually knew anyone that was murdered that day and the only person I can actually relate to is Barbara. She is the person I think of every September 11th. Even if I don’t actually know her, I miss her.
JB,
it aint a contest, who knew who or if you didn’t.
You are an American and I am proud to stand side by side with you
I remember reading the lists of known victims a few days after 9/11 and seeing two sisters, ages 9 and 3. I couldn’t read any further. That is what stays with me the most.
I lost over 3,000 brothers and sisters on 9/11.
Salute!
at the risk of being redundant and tuff shit to anyone who thinks it is:
do not ever forget what Donald Rumsfeld did 7 years ago.
SCREW YOU DEATHCULT you can not ever destroy who and what America is.
psst that goes for you too obama and your dem slacks and media hacks.
The title of this thread says it all…a heroine’s heart. Not thinking of herself, but what she can do to help others, even in that moment of terror and crisis.
May God bless all of our American heroes! I’m so thankful that He has given us those who stand ready to defend, protect, and sacrifice their lives. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13)
Having been in tears since the second plane hit the WTC and knowing by then it was no accident, when they announced that Barbara Olsen was on the plane hitting the Pentagon I cried like she was a close relative. We were all relatives that day of those that were murdered. And, no, my anger at those that perpetrated this heinous act has not morphed into relative appeasement, nor will I ever accept they had cause – and had simply misread their holy book.
That idiot Larry King last night tried to claim that Cheney was in charge on 9/11 and Bush was just flying around. I believe it was Ari Fleisher who politely corrected him but the left only believe what they want…
May God rest her Soul and comfort her family.
Message to jihadi terrorist: America will NEVER submit. End of message.
My husband’s daughter works for the Dept of State at the Pentagon and was watching out the window when the plane hit her building. Although she was only slightly injured, the image of her ordeal stays with me and my husband and we will NEVER forget what happened to these innocent people in the Towers and the Pentagon. Yes, I loved Barbara’s books and think of her, especially on this day. God Bless America!
The most important words in the tribute:
You shall not have died in vain.
You shall not have died in vain, so help me God.
The terror must end by all means necessary.
Screw the pacifists. Terrorists don’t have diplomats.
Never forget.
Barbar Olsen: ““What do I tell the pilot?”
Fight back.
Bravo!
My heart still aches over the loss of Barbara. I remember what a joy she was to watch on TV with her laser-light wit and full command of the facts. She had one of the best smiles in television.
Barbara Olson was a joy to watch on TV. She offered great insight. Although I did not know her, I felt then as I do now, as if I lost a close friend that day.
now who would you rather have on your side in the war on terror
obama who wants to chit chat with the lunatics
or palin who can pick up…lock n load and start taking out the enemy at 250 yards!!!
