What the hell is the matter with The New Republic?

By Michelle Malkin  •  September 11, 2008 03:48 PM

Track Palin, 19, enlisted in the Army last year. This week, he is headed to Iraq. Gov. Sarah Palin flew to Alaska last night to see him off. She will speak ahead of his deployment. He will be gone for a year.

So, what is The New Republic obsessing about as the teenager prepares to fight for our country on the seventh anniversary week of 9/11?

Track’s “temper.”

What the…?!?!?!?!

So much for leaving the children alone.

Maybe they’ll put Scott Thomas Beauchamp on special assignment to cook up fake stories to slime Track Palin while he’s serving overseas.

I have a good friend who’s husband started playing on an adult hockey league.

She went to the games and was always horrified when her mild-mannered husband would get kicked out of the game.

By the way, what does Track have to do with Sarah? He’s officially an adult now and since he’s joined the military, his drill sargents will take care of anger issues. My daughter went through boot camp and I am still in awe of the way the drill sargents handled the most amazing problems with grace, toughness, and humor.

By the way, what about Michelle Obama’s temper? She has a very short fuse.

Another thought, any PC group that’s upset about dodge ball in elementary school gym classes will never understand an aggresive sport like hockey.

“IF” Track had a temper problem (which is really a self-discipline problem and common to many teenagers in one form or another) his military service should cure him of the worst of it.

Really if getting tossed out of hockey games, which are really just boxing matches on ice anyway, is the worst of the kid’s problems then he’s doing OK.

The first clips of the Palin & Gibson interview are appearing as teasers. What I’ve seen has not been encouraging. Palin’s answers are OK, but they are shot from the side and not close-up, making her look fidgety and nervous. She faces Gibson rather than the camera, which gives a distracted, disjointed feeling.

The New Republic must have had or be those kind of parents who insist that no one keeps score because “that way the game is more fun because everyone has a good time and doesn’t worry about competition.”

No wonder they love effete Barack O’Mama’s boy.

Another excellent column Michelle. It seems the press needs a new George Bush to lie about so Sarah and her family are it.

It figures that the feminized males there have absolutely NO IDEA what it taked to play hockey nor what people look for in a hockey player. The best hockey players in the world have all been “animals” on the ice.

    Swing and a miss.

And you know what? I am hoping he carries that attitude with him onto the battlefield. He will make one hell of a leader if he does.

Bad Track coverage all around. I particularly enjoyed a People article yesterday (sarcasm) where they gave both his general location of deployment as well as distinctive body markings. The better for terrorists to ID him…

    Talk about irresponsible journalism.

For crying out loud! He has a temper? He enlisted, volunteered. Since when does passion / temper disqualify a person? Only in liberal la la land. Doesn’t Joe Biden have a temper?

The more I see of Sara the better I like her and the more disgusted MSM makes me. They make me cringe, they make me mad. Guess that means I have a temper! Screw them! Go Sara!

Apparently, TNR has found a “very reliable source” from a player who was embedded in Track Palin’s hockey team, and can provide searing first hand accounts of his exploits, including:

    - Track ripping off a goalie’s head and wearing his skull as a tiara.

    - Track running down stray dogs in a Zamboni.

    - Track and other players making fun of a girl in the cafeteria with a disfiguring puck wound.

The source’s name is rumored to be Bott Scomas Theauchamp.

No, wait! He played football and was flagged for unnecessary roughness?
There is no depth that the Lefties will not stoop to in their attempt to stop Palin.
