Obama-Biden: Which disabled war vets will they insult next?
What a week for the Gaffe Twins.
First, Joe Biden bone-headedly urges a disabled lawmaker veteran (correction: not a veteran) in a wheelchair to “Stand up” during a campaign rally.
Next, Barack Obama mocks John McCain for not using a computer to send e-mail — despite mainstream media articles dating back to 2000 that report he can’t type because of the war injuries inflicted by his Vietnamese torturers.
Who will their next victims be?
Keep these bunglers away from Walter Reed.

I just thought I would share this letter to the editor I sent to the Seattle Times and the Olympian in regards to Obama’s latest ad:
As a Disabled Veteran and as an American I was utterly disgusted by the latest campaign ad by Sen. Obama. The ad in which I speak makes the following claim:
“He admits he still doesn’t know how to use a computer, can’t send an e-mail”
The ad shows one of two things; either Sen. Obama has absolutely no scruples about attacking Sen. McCain’s disability he suffers from due to the torture he received as a POW or he and his campaign lack the basic skills to do research prior to releasing this tasteless ad. I did a bit of checking and found the following quote in a Boston Globe article by Mary Leonard dated 3/4/2000 which states,
“McCain’s severe war injuries prevent him from combing his hair, typing on a keyboard, or tying his shoes.”
Perhaps instead of mocking Sen. McCain’s injuries, the Sen. Obama should be reaching out to the disabled community. I see this as just one more reason that Sen. Obama has been slipping in the polls in our great state as well as nationally.

Desperation leads to recklessness.
This is what 0bama has to resort to since his eloquence is no substitute for substance.
I think of the flak Patton took for slapping a shell-shocked soldier. And then I look at these geniuses. Patton did what he did out of a strict code of honor and integrity. These guys are just brain-dead politicians.
Three words come to mind when I think of their campaign, clumsy, arrogant, obnoxious.
Obama and Biden are not ready for prime time.
You think they’d drop by there for anything other than a hands-off photo op? You have a higher opinion of them than I do.
I saw that ad and laugh through it to the end. They really think they are fooling people.

They (democrats) did the exact same thing to Bob Dole, who has a severe arm injury from his WW II service as an infantry lieutenant in the Tenth Mountain Division. I think my memory serves that it was the idiot Al Franken who made the derisive remark about Dole’s injury!!!
And they wonder why we question their support of the military. Remember this one…I certainly will.

At best it shows what kind of cut-throat advisors Obama would surround himself with if he, heaven forbid, was elected POTUS.
These two buffoons (Obama & Biden) want to inject themselves into the highest tier in the chain of command.
They don’t empathize with military vets. They’ve never served. They’ve never been closer to the military than the movies.
And what about a point I read (here?) yesterday. That the POTUS is not allowed to use email due to security reasons?
If he can’t type — so what? He isn’t allowed to use electronic communications and has staff to do other typing for him.
A moot point? Why yes, I think so…
The Democrat party is, and has been, pretty clear on what they think of the military and those who serve for a number of years….
If you’re in the military or are a veteran then you’re a stupid fool that couldn’t do any better.
Why would they, or the Obama campaign, ever show a disabled veteran anymore respect?
I know where I’m not welcome and that is why this US Navy veteran and life member of the DAV is a recovering former Democrat, now Republican.
A little advice to our Democrat friends.
If Obama loses this election, you might want to think about who you are as a party. Do you guys really want to be nothing but attack dogs? Attacking McCain for his war wounds and Sarah Palin’s family, is this who you want to be as a party?
Do you want to remain the party of the hard left cultural and academic elites, the Move-On/Kos crowd and Code Pink? The teachers unions and the environmental extremists? Or would you like to rejoin the rest of us back in America.
The Democrat Party of JFK — pro-American, strong national defense, lower taxes — is a party I’d be proud to vote for today. But JFK wouldn’t even recognize what his party has become.
Moving back to the center would not only improve your electoral prospects, but having two strongly pro-American political parties would be good for America, and the world.
And you might even be able to face yourselves in the mirror in the morning.

As I heard Glenn Beck one day say, we used to be a people who agreed on principle, but disagreed on policy. Today, we don’t even agree on principle. I’m paraphrasing here, but that’s the point he made.

The only successful result of this ad is increasing compassion for John McCain.
For those of you with vivid imaginations think about what you’d have to go through to lose the ability to type after being tortured.
I can think of a few things that incorporate the use of hammers and slivers of bamboo.
He would be singing like a canary in 2 seconds.
Obama would become a traitor after five minutes.
He’s already being tortured. Watching the election slip away from him must be killing him.
He’d be singing “Sexual Healing” ala Barry White
O cancelled SNL because he himself became a laughing stock.
The Dems have no more resources to do any of the slightest bit of “work”, they’ve sent everyone opposition researcher to Alaska, to dig up crab earmarks and used luxury jets sold for less than a new luxury jet. They then feed this ‘information’ to gullible main stream ‘journalists’ like Charlie Gibson and Barbara Walters who regurgitate it on various broadcasts.
Unfortunately there are clearly no economists amongst the oppo researchers that can educate Walters on the fact that just like a new Car, luxury jets do not increase in value. But selling one uses a lot less tax dollars than maintaining it, filling it with fuel and using it.
Truer words were never spoken. Obozo the Tongue-tripper, through what can only be described as bloody-minded ignorance, has managed to surround himself with a cabal of feckless morons who don’t have two brain cells among them to rub together.
Even if Sen. McCain could type, the e-mail ad is utterly inept. Keep trying to tell me that the Tongue-tripper practices sound judgment…

My feeling is that Obama and the current political generation are selfish, self-centered egotists.

They cannot brook any opposition because they cannot conceive that there could possibly be another way to view things or approach solving problems. Thus, their contempt for conservatives daring to put forth different points of view or solutions to vexing problems.

Judging from that headline (in the link) and from some of the subtleties of the MSM admitting Obozo is in trouble, has anyone noticed a slight shift — as if the media is actually starting to feed on this news? Isn’t this the definition of cannibalism?
Okay, I wrote 3 paragraphs and erased them twice. I guess what really urks me on this one is that it had to be malicious. There is no way the Obama Campaign can feign ignorance of Senator McCain’s injuries as they are so well documented (well they are ignorant, but you get my point).

Senator McCain will probably not respond to this, as it is not his style. I hope this issue comes up during Governor Palin’s interview with Mr. Hannity.

I didn’t know that John McCain couldn’t use a keyboard because of permanent injuries, but as soon as I saw that ad, the first thing that popped into my mind was, “Is he unable to use one because of injuries?”.

In actual fact, Winston Churchill was a lone voice crying in the wilderness through out the 1930’s. Most Brits laughed at the warmonger.

When I came back from Iraq on leave, a gentleman standing in the security line told me that I was fighting “Bush’s War” and “fighting for oil”. He continued that mantra while I tried to explain what I’d seen that we were doing there.
The vast majority of people don’t seem to be like that. But, it always irks me when I hear them say that they support the troops, but don’t support the mission in Iraq. How can you do the one without supporting what we do?
I’ve heard much the same from Mr. Obama and Mr. Biden. The same question applies. Hey, maybe we went in under the wrong information. But, we’re in there and we’ve done some really good things. Not that you’d know it from the way the press has reported it. But, we’ve tried to give the people of Iraq a chance at a better life and a chance to look at a different way of doing things. Some things will make small permanent changes, like the way that they view women and other larger things like the Western concept of fairness and impartiality or of representative government may or may not at least as we recognize them. But, we’ve made changes there one Iraqi at a time.
Mr. Obama would have taken that from us and still may. He’ll be doing everyone here and there an injustice if he does. Moreover, he’ll kick any concept in the world about US integrity in the teeth.
That, more than his insensitive ad or his failure to visit troops at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, will show thousands of US veterans of this war that their sacrifice was in vain. That our government places no value on what they fought for and has no desire to do anything except make them cripples to be placed on a public dole.
The “elite thinkers” in Obama-bubble-land have proved yet again their thorough lack of personal judgment and common sense…and they want to be my latex salesmen.

Further proof liberals don’t practice what they preach. If liberals are all about compassion and empathy for victims, I find it hypocritical they don’t extend this to all victims, only victims that further their political aims to acquire and retain power without having to actually do any work to EARN it.
That is the dirty little secret liberals are hiding. They know they’ve done nothing to earn power. They have to create victims to give the apparency of “caring”.
I don’t support McCain, but jeez! Give a little respect for the man’s service to the country liberals claim to love, and a bit of compassion for the excrutiating torture McCain had to endure alone for 5.5 years. If liberals had any honor, I expect them to lash out at the North Vietnamese violators of human rights, right liberals claim to embrace.
Yet another hypocritical stance. I find it hard to understand how otherwise intellegient human beings will set aside important issues only for political gain, even if it means someone’s life.
Seems to me such words would fit a liberal’s definition of hate crime.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and everyone of you brave men and women that make the sacrifices you do in order to keep the greatest country in the history of the world FREE, since we all know Freedom is not Free.
