If John McCain had done this there would be demands for an investigation to see if the pencil donors had exceeded their $2300 limit.
I’m sure Common Cause and the League of (liberal) Women Voters will be looking into it right away.
No surprise that Snobama hadn’t deigned to even take a look at who was working in the mailroom, and I’m betting that this man is being kind using the word, “aloof” to describe the Dem candidate for POTUS. I’m thinking, as I read his account in contrast to Obama’s, that another “a-” word is more appropriate.
I can’t wait to read the memoirs from Obama’s two year presidential run.

The business about faking having a secretary did make me laugh. I work with someone who calls our department administrative assistant her “secretary” when she’s speaking to others on the phone. It makes the admin asst nuts. Oh, and BTW: he’s a man being called a “secretary” by a 50-something woman.

Obama probably left the place because he was expected to do actual work there, unlike “community organizing.” The man doesn’t seem to “work brittle” to me. Looks like he’s spent most of his adult life trying to get out of working, while still managing to look like a “bigshot.”
I caught that. Hilarious. I wonder if he has been stiffing vendors all over ala Hillary?
As for his donation numbers…I’ve been wondering about those as well. They seem to be way higher than previous campaigns, even with the Chinese funding the Clintons. Are they true numbers? Are they from only big donors? It just seems out of place that he would keep raising this amount of money month after month.
BHO’s version of “HOPE and CHANGE”:

Seriously, one observation that pervades these comments is his arrogance and condescension towards others. And one commenter put it very well - to paraphrase, he sees himself as a ruler, not a public servant. A dangerous man to put in the position of ultimate power.
Careful, any mention of Obama in that way will have the MSM female contingent squealing, sweaty and drooling.
I have always hated that in those kinds of women.

Obama of course will claim to have been “Swiftboated”. Which of course means setting the record straight about a big fat liar.
Obama tells you what he thinks will help no matter what the truth is, and Biden blurts out whatever on’s his mind…quite a pair.
#25, interesting and disturbing. I once asked a friend, “why would an ivy-league guy from Hawaii go to Chicago twice to work when New York and DC would have been easily available. The answer could be quite ugly.
I think it’s fair to say that Obama will be overwhelmed if he was in the Oval Office. That’s why I believe this election could be a win for Pelosi/Reid/Kennedy. They’ll be the ones making policy decisions. Obama will be just shaking his head, saying, “Oh, okay”.
Somehow, the news that the One was not entirely truthful about his experience is not suprising. The lack of transparency about his past is very troubling.
And, the Obama campaign is not just asking for office supplies — such as copy and toilet paper — but snacks and beverages for the staff.
The requests are on a number of blogs. In VA they keep pushing the point he has 40 offices open in the state and how expensive this is to operate.
I think there is going to be alot of voter fraud in VA as well, if what I am reading on some of the Dem blogs is true and their comments about “voter registration”.
I got pitched by an Obamatron today. Apparently I should vote Obama because he will guarantee at least a $1,000 (”maybe more”) to our family. I tried to engage the college kid in some basic economics, but to no avail. He got that glazed look in his eyes.
The true picture of Obama’s past appear to be darker by the day. Liberals lie, in part, because they believe in their heart of hearts that everyone else does it, too.
Hans Christian Obama nothing… it is really the Emperor in his new clothes.
Obama reminds me of Eddie Murphy’s character from A Distinguished Gentleman, more and more…only Eddie’s character knew he was a con man.
That’s going to leave a mark. Just as John Kerry’s peers in his Swift boat unit had low opinions of him, it seems those closest to Obam-uh also held him in low esteem.

Obama is the Great Pretender. Somehow, with a minimal skill, set he has been able to convince the pop culture elites that he is the answer to their prayers… and by “prayers”, I mean dancing around in a meadow in the moonlight worshipping mother nature and bemoaning the idea that Mankind is a plague upon the earth.
I think the saying that best fits Obama is, “big hat, no cattle”.

McCain was at this week’s Nascar race. I suspect that if Obama tries to follow suit, he’ll make the appearance, then follow up with a story about how he jumped behind the wheel of a car and won the trophy!
Bill Ayers, ACORN, Chicago Annenberg Challenge, Rev. Wright, those missing years at Columbia U - we know NOTHING about Senator Obama, NOTHING. Unlike McCain, Palin or Biden there is no one from Obama’s past who steps up and talks about his character. No one except his wife. Where are his Columbia undergrad or Harvard Law fellow students, his community organizer buddies - there is no one. Who is he really? More importantly, who is behind him?

Every time I read a section from Obama’s memoirs my bs-o-meter gyrates. His writings reek of self-absorption. Yesterday I read about his long-lost brother’s beautiful round head. Today I read about his pot and coke use, and that he didn’t try heroin because he feared an “air bubble, shiny and round like a pearl, rolling quietly through a vein and stopping my heart.”
Why doesn’t this surprise me the Empty One tries to inflate himself and his self worth. Bottom feeder!
The Obama approach to real issues:

He’s not a “man with no past” but a “man with a hidden past”. I agree that should set off a whole lot of alarms in voters no matter their political persuasion or affiliation.
This is kind of like what donkeys like to call “swiftboating,” except that this would be the equivalent of somebody from Hopenchange’s own boat-crew calling “Bullsh*t!” on him.
But it’s no surprise at all. Donkeys have a rich history of exaggerating their “credentials.”
Adlai Stevenson: Portrayed himself as an Ivy-league mega-intellectual; it was only years after he lost two elections to Dwight Eisenhower that the truth finally emerged that he’d flunked out of Harvard Law School.
Algore: Inventor of the Internet. Inspiration for “Love Story.” An “intellect” who flunked out of law school and flunked out of divinity school.
Bill Clinton: Self-proclaimed moralist who promised the “Most Ethical Administration in History” and delivered the exact opposite, right along with the promised “middle class tax cut” that morphed into the largest tax increase in American history. An “intellect” who fled the country to avoid military service and who spent his time in office wagging his finger at the American people while parsing the meaning of the word “is.”
John Kerry: “War hero” who fled Vietnam after 3 months based on a collection of dubiously-obtained Purple Hearts. Accelerated Alzheimer’s victim with “seared, seared” memories of things that never happened. “Intellectual” whose grades at Yale weren’t as good as “that idiot” who beat him in 2004.
Hopehchange: A self-important, stand-offish “Community Organizer” who hung around the office and puffed up his resume. Won’t release his transcripts from Columbia or Harvard, probably because to do so would reveal how he got into both.
The difference in this election between McCain and Hopenchange is this stark:
- McCain’s perhaps most compelling phrases from his nomination speech were, “They broke me” and “Not because I’m a savior in her hour of need, but because America saved me.”
- Contrast to Hopenchange: “We are the change we’ve been waiting for…” “This will be remembered as the day when the oceans began to recede and the planet began to heal…” “My superior judgment qualifies me to lead.”
One wants you to elect him. The other expects you to worship him. Choose.
Who buries their past and seeks to become potus. an egotistical imbacile.
and regulus, remember how many times we were reminded about clinton’s rhode’s scholarship, which of course he was too busy attending pot parties and mayday celebrations to actually earn the degree. so cambridge had to award him an honorary degree because he flunked out on the real one.

His history at Business International? Eminently verifiable. He fluffed it up. Plain and simple. With a lame resume like his and a lame character to match, none of this is surprising.
Whatever one may interpret as “the real issues” facing Americans, I’ll guarantee one would be hard pressed to find even one U. S. voter who considers belittling Sarah Palin and her family one of them.
But feep up the smears Obama! Because with less than fifty days left until the election, the more you deride and degrade the lone female candidate, the less time their is for you to mislead voters about what you say you’ll do for the country - so have at it!
A guy who was POW with McCain thinks McCain is not fit to be Predident.

A guy who worked down the hall from Obama thinks Obama would make a fine President, though he may have exaggerated his fresh out of college job description a little.
Not moral equivalence. Democrats beat Republicans 3 to 1 in the morality department this election cycle.
Real issue: constant lying about Sarah Palin, the most unqualified VP nominee since “Tyler too“. She campaigned for the bridge to nowhere, until Congress canceled it. She increased the debt of her little town of Wasilla by 60%.

Phillip’s major gripe seems to be more with the media than with John McCain, but he blames McCain anyway. No one has ever heard McCain imply or say that he was the only hero or THE POW.
This sounds petty to me, personally.
When you read through his reasons for not supporting McCain, he does not truly refute anything that is being said about McCain’s time as a POW.
His reasons have very little to do with his time as a POW and are instead motivated by his current political (and activist) beliefs. I do not deny his right to speak out, but lets not pretend that this is some gotcha moment.
Lame and with no basis in objective fact. Do you just throw these things out in the hopes that no one will notice the lack of evidence?
We get that you are liberal and do not like Republicans. However, claiming moral authority with a bogus statistic is a bit silly.

This is the guy that still supports Obama. Cannot listen uncritically knowing that Obama will bend facts… but still supports him. That’s not a ringing endorsement for Obama, but rather a large question mark on the author’s common sense.

Can anyone tell me why the great “messiah” with all of his Harvard diploma and HLR president cred, can only get a job as a glorified copywriter?
This jibes with the stories of how Obama was never offered a clerkship with a Supreme Court justice, which is one of the reasons one becomes prez of the HLR.
It is another indication of his status as an “affirmative” action candidate.
I too have wondered why no one from Obama’s past has come forward to verify his accomplishments, his personality, etc. from his college and “organizer” days. The only associations we know about are Wright, Ayers, Pfleger, and Rezko. Where are the upstanding citizens to vouch for him? Where are his close friends? College associates?Where are his health records? Where are his college transcripts? We have a right to know!! We cannot let him get away with improper vetting for the most powerful job in the world! All I can say is, the republican campaign better be pulling all of that information together for an October surprise! There has to be a reason why he is covering this up.
I started reading Audicity of Hope and couldn’t finish it. I personally don’t think he is a bad person but his ego does come through his book. I didn’t find it enjoyable myself.
