Ever see the movie “Nuts”? In it Babs plays a prostitute who charges $1,000 an hour and has multiple appointments each night.
It’s the least realistic, most unbelievable thing I’ve ever seen on film…and I’ve seen “Return of the King” five times.

A friend sent me an e-mail excoriating Cindy McCain for wearing an expensive dress and jewelry to the convention. She claimed it proved the McCains are “out of touch with the American people”.
So I sent her an e-mail about how Barack Obama won’t be in Texas tonight to help with the cleanup efforts…he will be in Hollywood with Babs. And all the money they raise? Goes to HIMSELF rather than the hurricane victims. See, it was Texas, not Louisiana, so the Dems don’t care.

When I was young and foolish a couple of decades ago, I might’ve paid $28.50 to see a Streisand concert.
But now, when she’s got leather shoelaces for vocal cords… well, the political theater would actually be the bigger draw.
This lady has been a nobody ever since she thought someone was out to kill her and hid for 10 years. She still has some mental issues that were never addressed. In the beginning, I loved her singing and bought several albums (For you young people, albums were long playing records). But with her fantasy and her thinking that singing makes one a political genius, I avoid her. Too bad; she was good once.
Nevermind Haiti. What about the poor souls in Texas!

Same here. I disliked her long before I was a conservative. Something (everything?) about her is intensely annoying, and her voice doesn’t even begin to make up for it. Maybe it is the smug factor, which is off the scale with her. On the other hand I should express my gratitude as she, along with the Clintons, helped me see the liberals for what they are and hastened my conversion to conservatism. Thanks Bab!

I love how the libs use this fundraiser to say that well, Obummer he’s taking money from “private” citizens whereas McCain is taking from taxpayers to fund the campaigns. Wow, do these people not see the irony in fundraisers like this for a guy that says he’s gonna look out for us? I mean, come one, the guy promised to take public funding and then reneged on it. You know…. sorta like those townhall debates.

I would love to see the tax returns of the people in the audience and see how much they give each year to charity. If they’re willing to drop $28,500 to hear a washed-up singer, how much will they pay to help people in need.
Hopefully someone will sneak in a video camera and get some of the lowlights. Would make some great viewing and fodder for some fantastic ads! Like the bitter people clinging to their guns and religion…that wasn’t supposed to be for the public! Obama is so hung up on ears, he should know they are everywhere!
My thoughts exactly. For the last 2 election cycles, all I hear is how bad the economy is, the misery index, the poor people struggling, no jobs, no job growth, people without health care (read insurance), suffering, working 3 jobs, can’t afford to heat the house, etc, all due to Bushs policies.
Now here is Hollywood still making enough money in these hard times to fork over huge amounts of money for political campaigns. The common folk going to Obamas website and donating $10 a million times over raising unbelievable amounts of money. $67 million last month alone??
Doesn’t sound like such a bad economy to me. If they can afford all that, they should continue with Bush policies. Look what he has done during wartime with multiple natural disasters and a malovent press and opposition party out to destroy him. I am impressed.
