Via The Swamp, here they come again:
Chicago radio station WGN-AM is again coming under attack from the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama for offering airtime to a controversial author.
It is the second time in recent weeks the station has been the target of an “Obama Action Wire” alert to supporters of the Illinois Democrat.
Monday night’s target was David Freddoso, who the campaign said was scheduled to be on the station from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. Chicago time.
“The author of the latest anti-Barack hit book is appearing on WGN Radio in the Chicagoland market tonight, and your help is urgently needed to make sure his baseless lies don’t gain credibility,” an e-mail sent Monday evening to Obama supporters reads.
“David Freddoso has made a career off dishonest, extreme hate mongering,” the message said. “And WGN apparently thinks this card-carrying member of the right-wing smear machine needs a bigger platform for his lies and smears about Barack Obama — on the public airwaves.”

Now he is hosting someone who wrote a book that is NOT sympathetic to Obama. And has someone who will “Most assuredly disagree”.

Shouldn’t we be challenging Obama to fire these miscreants? Just a hint of what he’d do (i.e., Fairness Doctrine) if elected and Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi had their way. Freedom of Speech out the window. And Freddoso’s books is accurate, for Pete’s sake!

There isn’t a link because the show hasn’t broadcast yet. It is scheduled for 9:05 pm tonight, their local time. WGN has live streaming, so you can log onto their website tonight and listen to it live then. Not sure where you are in the country, but you will need to adjust for time zone diff.

Correction -
I misread the website. The show aired last night (the 15th). I called the station and Mr. Rosenberg did interview Mr. Freddoso, but I did not see the show in the archives on the website. I left a message with Mr. Rosenberg’s producer asking if the interview will be posted, and, if there is one sponsor who specifically financially supports Mr. Rosenberg’s show, so I can write/call them and thank them and support them.
Sorry for the mistake — but I will post if the producer does get back to me.
Donkeys understand “Free Speech” like a spoon comprehends the taste of food.
Their reaction to speech they don’t like is similar in a way to how the Republicans dealt with Code Pinkers trying to disrupt the convention in St. Paul: drown them out with a pre-arranged counter-expression (i.e., surround them and chant, “USA! USA!”).
Hopenchange’s “Action Alerts” or whatever have the same idea: if somebody dares question the divinity of Hopenchange, they swarm and try to shout him down with pre-digested talking points.
The difference with a distinction, however, is that Republicans at the convention were at a private gathering in a building they were renting, while the donkeys want to censor unwelcome speech on the public airwaves.
The old notion of freedom of expression used to be summed up by Voltaire’s, “I may disagree with what you say, but I’ll fight to the death for your right to say it.”
Today’s donkeys have perverted that sense into, “I may disagree with what you say, and if so I’ll fight to the death (preferably yours) to make sure you don’t say it.”

You got it. I see Obama all the time with his comment. “If so & so wants to debate such & such, that’s a debate I’m willing to have”. Then when asked to debate, he declines.
Obama is a smooth political operative. He knows, as most smooth politicans do, that it’s more about style than substance.
He also knows that the more he is exposed, the less votes he will get. He has to weigh getting exposure over getting exposed.
He is hanging on for a couple of more months while trying to keep knowledge to a minimum and only info he wants released. His helpers in the media will do his dirty work for him during the debates. They did in the primary debates.
They say this as fact without offering proof and his minions swallow it whole.

As you can see, they letting everyone get a sneak preview of what they will be doing once they control both the congress and the presidency. The press should take note that they will be checked all the time to make sure their stories/books/films are “appropiate” for their idea of our new society. The first amendment will be ignored just like the tenth amendment is today. To consolidate power, one must “control the media” and “take away all guns”.
