House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, when asked Tuesday whether Democrats bear some of the responsibility regarding the current crisis on Wall Street, had a one-word answer: “No.”
Pelosi (D-Calif.) ripped President Bush’s “mismanagement” of the economy and a lack of regulation that led to the current situation.
“I think the American people have had it with this situation where the middle-income people in our country are not protected from the ramifications of the risk-taking and the greed of these financial institutions,” Pelosi told MSNBC.
When asked whether the Democrats “deserve some responsibility” regarding the economic crisis, Pelosi responded: “No.”
On a related front, Pelosi is defending embattled corruptocrat Charlie Rangel.
That’s all Bush’s fault, too.

Nancy demonstrated how unethically she uses the power of the gavel when she presided over the “nomination by acclamation” of Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention.
When the time came for dissenters to voice their disapproval of the nomination, Pelosi didn’t even allow 3 seconds to pass before banging the gavel. (To me, it seemed like less than 1 second.)
The Hillary supporters were understandably irrate at Pelosi’s abuse of power.
Some of them responded by contributing to the McCain-Palin campaign, and listing “Nancy Pelosi” as the person who referred them. Awesome!

Last time I checked the Constitution, the congress manages or mismanages the economy, or passes regulations, not the President. The President does not introduce and pass bills, Ms. Pelosi. Or, are you and your bunch so screwed up as to what is legal and what isn’t, or what has been introduced and passed over the years, you can’t think of anything but “blame it on Bush”? Really, you must think I’m stupid, much like your voters. A politician that lies to cover him/herself is beneath contempt. Nancy’s most ethical congress is scheduled to adjourn on Friday September 26th. As of today not one of the 13 appropriations bills has been voted on and sent to the President.
Nancy and her co-conspirators intend to try and shove a continuing resolution extending the current budgets, and god knows what else down President Bushes throat. Betting he wont Veto it and shut down the government.
What if he did Veto their bill and shut down the government and then called them back into session until they did their job and passed the 13 appropriations bills?
How would this effect the elections?
Herb & Marion Sandler ran a company called Golden West Financial Corp that created tons of bad mortgages. They only created the loans and never kept them, instead they unloaded them onto Freddie & Fannie and others. They sold out to Wachovia in another deal from hell. If you look at who contribute to the democrats, you will find everyone who caused these current financial problems. The links between contributions and congress is paved by a few of the rich who don’t care what happens to Americans.
In 2009 Sarah Palin will need to come after these people and their ill gotten gains. These trails of dollars are so obvious. Maybe some can be recovered to cover the costs involved in fixing the mess that they and the democrats caused.
A true leader would see how their lack of action may have resulted in the problem. If you are the leader, then you have a huge platform to complain and push for changes (see Sarah Palin). However, if you’re the leader, but also an incompetent ignoramus with no clue (see Nancy Pelosi), then you don’t know what’s happened until it hits you in the face. Then, you do what any other brain-dead liberal would do, blame the republicans.
It would be nice to have some republican leaders step up and outline exactly why Clinton’s administration and it’s corruption, actually caused this disaster. They won’t because they’re hands may be dirty too. We all know this to be true and that’s why Palin is so important to our future. I pray she can stay the course and not get corrupted by the sickness in Washington.

I’m sorry, sometimes failure has to happen. Be it a personal loan, or a financial institution, failure happens for a reason. No lesson is learned when government comes in to “save the day”. Especially when government is the one that caused the problem in the first place.
Going through my handy pocket sized copy of the Declaration of Independance and US Consitution and maybe I’m just reading it wrong since I’m not one of the enlightened ones. But I just can’t seem to find the part in there anywhere about how government is supposed to protect people from the risk of their own decisions.

Yes, government educated people don’t need to know how to read, let alone the fine print on a legally binding contract that they sign. Sorry, but that logic doesn’t work. If the oversights had been put in place, as Pres. Bush wanted done five years ago, then this mess might have been avoided, or at least minimized.

Pelosi has got to be privately bothered that she isn’t mentioned as a “female first” with Hillary and Ferraro by Sarah. I just know she has noticed the omission, and her ego must be on fire about it.
She thinks she’s Queen of Washington, and she’s about to be leapfrogged by our Sarah’Cuda into the #2 spot. What fun McCain’s first State of the Union is going to be! That is assuming Nancy is still Speaker, of course.

Ouch that really sucks. My first guitar was a 68 strat in 3 color sunburst. Sadly long gone. All I have left is a 80 335 S deluxe. As for Pelosi, she says everything with a straight face, no matter how absurd it is. Then again she has so much bo tox in it that all she can do is have a straight face.
