Advice to America’s daughters who aspire to be the next generation of leaders:

Study this woman’s behavior — then vow not to repeat it.

Know Your Cower. Waste Your Power.

Via The Hill:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, when asked Tuesday whether Democrats bear some of the responsibility regarding the current crisis on Wall Street, had a one-word answer: “No.”

Pelosi (D-Calif.) ripped President Bush’s “mismanagement” of the economy and a lack of regulation that led to the current situation.

“I think the American people have had it with this situation where the middle-income people in our country are not protected from the ramifications of the risk-taking and the greed of these financial institutions,” Pelosi told MSNBC.

When asked whether the Democrats “deserve some responsibility” regarding the economic crisis, Pelosi responded: “No.”

On a related front, Pelosi is defending embattled corruptocrat Charlie Rangel.

That’s all Bush’s fault, too.

Really, you must think I’m stupid, much like your voters. A politician that lies to cover him/herself is beneath contempt. From Rush Limbaugh’s show today:

RUSH: Robert B. Reich on the MSNBC last night slips up here and tells the truth that Democrats and Greenspan were responsible for the experiment that gave houses to people who cannot afford them. Question: “Were conservative Democrats part of the problem here?”

REICH: In the latter years of the Clinton administration — when I was not there any longer, I should add — there was an attempt by Alan Greenspan and Bob Rubin and a few others to deregulate financial markets, and they did. They split commercial banking off from investment banking. And many people say, “Well, that was the beginning of the problem,” and then, of course, in 2003-2004, Alan Greenspan reduced short-term interest rates to the point where every single bank wanted to lend money. I mean, if you could stand up straight you could get a bank loan because there was so much pressure to get that money out the door. Money was so cheap. So, yes, there is some responsibility on Democrats, some responsibility on Alan Greenspan and the Fed.

Meanwhile at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Clinton appointees and Obama advisors Franklin Raines and Jack Johnson and their cohort Jamie Gorelick were collecting ten million dollar bonuses and running them into the ground. Good ole Obama received the 2nd highest in campaign contributions from Fannie and Freddie while Big Joe Biden was the 3rd. Will their be an investigation in the Democratic Congress…Don’t bet on it!

Nancy get your head out of the the sand. Maybe your lemmmings will buy it, but we who know better don’t

Then, you do what any other brain-dead liberal would do, blame the republicans.

I just saw this in the letter to the editor section of a local newspaper it explains volumes. What do the 10 top cities with the highest pverty rate all have in common? Democratic leadership! From 1 to 10 Detroit MI no republican mayor since 1961; Buffalo NY since 1954; Cincinnati OH 1984; Cleveland OH 1989; Miami FL never; St Louis MO 1949; El Paso TX never; Milwaukee WI 1908; Philidelphia PA 1952; and Newark NJ 1907.
Hey Ms. Pelosi – if democratic leadership is so wonderful you got some explaining to do!

    The Blind Bunny

One morning a blind bunny was hopping down the bunny trail and tripped over a large snake and fell, kerplop right on his twitchy little nose.

‘Oh please excuse me,’ said the bunny. ‘I didn’t mean to trip
over you, but I’m blind and can’t see.’

‘That’s perfectly all right,’ replied the snake. ‘To be sure,
it was my fault. I didn’t mean to trip you, but I’m blind too,
and I didn’t see you coming. By the way, what kind of animal
    are you?’

‘Well, I really don’t know,’ said the bunny. ‘I’m blind, and I’ve
never seen myself. Maybe you could examine me and find out.’

So the snake felt the bunny all over, and he said, ‘Well,
you’re soft, and cuddly, and you have long silky ears, and
a little fluffy tail and a dear twitchy little nose.
You must be a bunny rabbit!’

The bunny said, ‘I can’t thank you enough. But by the way,
what kind of animal are you?’

The snake replied that he didn’t know either, and the bunny agreed to examine him, and when the bunny was finished, the snake asked, ‘Well, what kind of an animal am I?’

The bunny had felt the snake all over, and he replied, ‘You’re cold, you’re slippery, and you haven’t got any balls …You must be a

“I think the American people have had it with this situation where the middle-income people in our country are not protected from the ramifications of the risk-taking and the greed of these financial institutions,” Pelosi told MSNBC.

Um, if they are “protected” from the ramifications, wouldn’t that belie the notion that they are taking a risk in the first place?

This has to be one of the most in your face examples of liberal nanny-state philosophy that I have seen in a long time. “It’s okay peon, mommy and daddy in government will come to your rescue since you aren’t smart enough to live your own life. We’ll take care of it all, just keep voting for us.”

I’m sorry, sometimes failure has to happen. Be it a personal loan, or a financial institution, failure happens for a reason. No lesson is learned when government comes in to “save the day”. Especially when government is the one that caused the problem in the first place.

Going through my handy pocket sized copy of the Declaration of Independance and US Consitution and maybe I’m just reading it wrong since I’m not one of the enlightened ones. But I just can’t seem to find the part in there anywhere about how government is supposed to protect people from the risk of their own decisions.

Yes, government educated people don’t need to know how to read, let alone the fine print on a legally binding contract that they sign. If the banks would just give them more credit it will all be better.

Sorry, but that logic doesn’t work. If the oversights had been put in place, as Pres. Bush wanted done five years ago, then this mess might have been avoided, or at least minimized.

By your logic the persons who walked by a rape in progress (yes, it happened) are not in any way culpable for the victim’s rape because they did nothing.
