Chicago thug urges cultists to get thuggish, too; offers housing/hotel incentives
He has unleashed his lawyers on TV stations airing ads he doesn’t want the public to see and GOP donors he doesn’t want participating in the political process.
He has tried to shut down investigative journalists and radio talk show hosts.
He’s got a team of plumbers playing hardball with those who dare challenge his Holy Name.
He’s got a mob of “Action Wire” goons shouting down critics in every public space. (See Jim Treacher.)
And now, he’s urging all of his followers to get down, dirty, and “in your face:”
Barack Obama sharpened his attacks on John McCain and mocked the Republican’s recent calls for reform in two stops in Nevada on Wednesday after days of listening to nervous supporters fret about the Democrat’s chances of taking the White House.
…The feistier, more sarcastic tone came as worried Democrats urged Obama to get tougher and show more passion. Obama has tried to assure donors and voters that he’s been schooled by Chicago politics.
“I’m skinny but I’m tough,” he says…
…In Elko, Obama tried to anticipate his critics and called on the crowd of about 1,500 to sharpen their elbows, too.
“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face,” he said.
Yep, a bunch of hysterical Obama cultists and ACORN riff-raff knocking on your door to shout Kossack talking points in your faces, accuse you of racism, call you unpatriotic for not bowing down and forking over more taxes to keep the Mother Ship afloat, and maybe threaten to hack your e-mail, too.
That’ll be persuasive.

By the way, the press report notes that there was a “crowd of about 1,500″ at that Nevada rally. Where I live, unknown “riff-raff” knocking on a person’s door have the potential of being shot. As one judge in our area tells it, he handled a case once where a “man was given a sex change by shotgun, courtesy of a homeowner finding the guy in his home, and the jury refused to convict the homeowner.”

You kind of did what a friendly old guy in my (Catholic) church used to do. His widow said that when Jehovahs came to the door, he’d talk their ear off about anything and everything until they couldn’t take anymore. He’d ask them to sit and have a cup of tea and just go on and on. Commendable work if you’ve got the time and patience.
Well, at least we don’t have to worry about Jehovahs voting for Odumbo. My daughter’s best friends with one and she says they don’t vote because it’s considered worldly, and their concern is the next world.

Reminds me of the time I had a Jevohas witness and crew come to my door. I advised them that they might be better off spending their time helping those who are handicapped, or poor and could use an extra pair of hands. Or to visit those in nursing homes who have no one to visit them….They exited fairly quickly after that! I was caring for two ill family members at the time and working and busy as heck so I was plenty mad !
At least the Mormon boys will give you a hand around the house.

We moved to this area just about four years ago. We came for a visit to look at houses in October, so we could tell by the yard signs what neighborhoods to rule out.
I highly recommend this method to anyone.

Well, not really. By every measure — Gallup, Diageo/Hotline, CBS/NYT, Quinnipiac — Obama leads McCain (Rasmussen shows them in a dead heat). Further, over the last two to four days, Obama has consistently, day by day, gained points and ground on McCain/Palin. As you might expect in light of those figures, McCain/Palin’s favorability ratings have — again, by every measure I’ve seen, and you’re welcome to visit each of the pollsters’ sites to see for yourself — been on a downward slide.

You know, what with the foul and obnoxious treatment of Governor Palin, the gross and condescending remarks some moonbats have been posting regarding Gianna Jessen and Trig Palin (which I have had the misfortune to read… see comments on Politico and Hot Air) and the idiotic tax proposals of Bidumb and other libtards (to name just a few), I have been wanting to hit something for weeks.
One of these nimrods showing up at my front door could be inadvertently providing a public service. At the very least, it would make me feel much better.

I totally agree. But with McCain having only been able to best Obama — throughout this entire campaign — for a period which immediately followed the RNC, there’s a decent chance that the post-convention dust has settled and these figures are more accurate, long-term, than the ephemeral numbers we saw recently.
Unfortunately, I don’t think they are going to be campaiging here in Georgia. But is case some do come to my door I’ve got a whole list of items I’d like to discuss with the. I’m pretty sure I can convince them to vote Republican, or at least not vote, if I can get their attention. Sort of like de-programming Moonies.
It’s a far drive from me, and I’m near the border in CA — Reno, NV is about 45 miles from me. From there, it’s at least an 8 hour drive to Elko. NO commercial airports are close by. You either land in Reno, NV and drive the 8 hours, or you can land in SLC, and drive the 6 hours.
It’s in the middle of nowhere.
Sheesh! If I did that here, my house would be firebombed.

Can it come as any surprise that a campaign based mostly on form over substance thinks it can win with a pugnacious display of chutzpah?
After he’d won the donkey nomination, Hopenchange based his campaign on the theme of, “Scrapbook memories of my journey to the White House.” The look and feel gave an impression that the election was over before it began; everything he did was meant to provide photo-op moments to document his triumph.
His European “victory tour” was the moment when his hubris became too obvious to ignore. The “Speech at Obamopolis” was when he finally jumped the shark.
Now that he’s got a real fight on his hands, Hopenchange’s theme has shifted to, “I am my attitude.” Still substance-free, he’s relying on his supporters — including but not limited to the media arm of the donkey party — to simply bluster and bully a path for him with canned talking points and vitriol.
This “image is everything” campaign is why ultimately the theme song of Hopenchange’s run for the presidency will ultimately be Bob Dylan’s “Rolling Stone.” The final lyrics of that tune are indicative of where Hopenchange finds himself in the closing stretch to November:

I thought inciting a riot was illegal.
My preferred method when someone asks me if (A) I’m registered to vote; or (B) do I intend to vote for so-and-so, is just to tell them, “Now, I just reckon that aint any of your bidness, now, is it?” in my best redneck accent. Seems to work, too. They generally ignore me after that.
In Texas you can defend yourself in your home with deadly force. With any luck one will force their way into my house.
and some even want to take care of their babies.

Well, the situation is obviously more complex than that. Here’s the thing:
1) the Republicans have been in power for 8 years, they have a hugely unpopular President and a war that (no matter how well it’s going now) is unpopular.
2) the economic news, especially in the last week, has been horrible.
3) the national media has been going full bore trying to get Obama elected, both covering for him in his (plentiful) areas of weakness and aggressively going after his opponents using all means at their disposal, fair and foul.
With all that in his favor, Obama has been leading McCain by (at most) the margin of error. A recent poll showed Obama leading in New York State by a mere 5 points.
It’s a little too early for the Republicans to start picking out drapes for the Oval Office, but I think characterizing the Obama campaign as “on the run” is pretty well accurate.

When did Geraldo become an adviser to team Obama?
Democrats did the same thing in 2004 – thousands of Mass. Dems drove a short distance north and clogged the side of route 101 with bodies and Kerry/Edwards signs. Route 101 runs east and west of Nashua, just 5 miles north of the NH/MA border.
The drive from Calif. to Elko is a MUCH LONGER ONE – so much for the environment, greenhouse gasses, fuel conservation, green policy, etc.
But Nevada has a special welcome for Obama’s horde of 1500 – brothels are legal in Elko.

I’m not. Hence the fact that I agreed with you on the fluctuations in polling results. Merely pointing out what the numbers look like now — across the board — and that they jibe more with what we’ve consistently seen throughout this race — save for during the (widely predicted) post-convention rise in McCain/Palin’s numbers.
Someone should share that tidbit with Obama, immediately… as it stands currently it looks as if panic has set in.

That’s all it takes, a few photos of Bill Ayers standing on the American Flag, a few lines on what you’re going to do with taxes. I always tell them “With ANY Politician you canNOT just listen to what they say, you must look at how they’ve voted. Then, Obama loses every time.”
The pollsters have consistantly under counted the Conservative polls anywhere from 2-4 points prior to the elections. If this holds true, the left will be cryin’ again about how Republicans “stole da vote!” …
I say this in all seriousness. I would love to debate things with any Obama supporter. I can honestly say I cannot find any Obama supporter that can maintain a coherent train of thought to have a conversation with. By the third exchange I will be called an idiot, a moron, or a racist.
