Chicago thug urges cultists to get thuggish, too; offers housing/hotel incentives
He has unleashed his lawyers on TV stations airing ads he doesn’t want the public to see and GOP donors he doesn’t want participating in the political process.
He has tried to shut down investigative journalists and radio talk show hosts.
He’s got a team of plumbers playing hardball with those who dare challenge his Holy Name.
He’s got a mob of “Action Wire” goons shouting down critics in every public space. (See Jim Treacher.)
And now, he’s urging all of his followers to get down, dirty, and “in your face:”
Barack Obama sharpened his attacks on John McCain and mocked the Republican’s recent calls for reform in two stops in Nevada on Wednesday after days of listening to nervous supporters fret about the Democrat’s chances of taking the White House.
…The feistier, more sarcastic tone came as worried Democrats urged Obama to get tougher and show more passion. Obama has tried to assure donors and voters that he’s been schooled by Chicago politics.
“I’m skinny but I’m tough,” he says…
…In Elko, Obama tried to anticipate his critics and called on the crowd of about 1,500 to sharpen their elbows, too.
“I need you to go out and talk to your friends and talk to your neighbors. I want you to talk to them whether they are independent or whether they are Republican. I want you to argue with them and get in their face,” he said.
Yep, a bunch of hysterical Obama cultists and ACORN riff-raff knocking on your door to shout Kossack talking points in your faces, accuse you of racism, call you unpatriotic for not bowing down and forking over more taxes to keep the Mother Ship afloat, and maybe threaten to hack your e-mail, too.
That’ll be persuasive.

By the way, the press report notes that there was a “crowd of about 1,500″ at that Nevada rally. Doesn’t it scare anyone but me that this thug might actually get elected? I’ve said before in previous posts, the he & his gang will DO ANYTHING to get elected. ANYTHING. Well I don’t know about you but it scares the cr*p out of me.
The Bradley effect could certainly impact the outcome of this race, but there’s been a significant amount of study of how it relates to Obama’s campaign. According to several articles (a quick search on “Bradley effect” and “Obama” brings up a ton of different articles from authors representing every segment of the political spectrum), “on average, Obama received three percentage points more support in the actual primaries and caucuses than he did during polling” — now labeled the “reverse Bradley effect.” There’s no telling, armed with just poll numbers, to know how the whole thing will turn out, but it’s fascinating to look at all the potential variables.
Don’t tease me. I relish a face to face meeting with some of Obama’s goonish cult followers.

Colorado just recently (like in the last couple of days) repealed a law that prohibited door to door canvassing on the grounds that it violated 1st amendment rights. It was tied to the premise that a lot of companies business model involved door to door sales.
But given the fact that our state legislature is heavily in the tank for Senator Obama, I find myself wondering if there is some connection here.
Oh well, if campaign volunteers show up at my door?….They can expect the courtesy they give returned….lol
Re the Bradley effect, I’m not so sure that that is what is happening/going to happen here. Dems always seem to be well ahead of the Repubs this time of year in the polls. Then the slump comes when the false idealism drops away.

Obama’s campaign traveled to Elko, where they EXPECTED to have only 250 people show up??? What is that dollars/vote ratio??
At the Carson City (state capitol, and only 35 miles from Reno) Palin appearance last Saturday, at least 10,000 showed up. GOP strategy was to have Palin appeal to nearby rural voters, but in accessible location for large population. Strategy seemed to work.

No. Perhaps you’ve misunderstood. There was a run-up to the general election — collectively known as the the “primaries” — during which various sources studied the votes cast by Democrats and compared pre-vote polling results re: Obama to actual outcomes. That means they were studies of votes that HAVE happened:

The information gathered about those votes — the ones I mention above — was and continues to be assessed to learn the implications it may hold for the outcome of what’s known as the “general election.” Therefore, I’m actually:

Actually, in the states that matter most now, he polled better than he actually did in the voting results. Not the other way around. Meaning, his poll results could be somewhat optimistic.

Welcome to the real reality of living in the Chicago area. I experienced this thuggish behavior for the more than 9yrs of living there. Neighbor disagreements ended with constant property vandalism, rampant intimidation and verbal abuse. To then go on and encourage people who support Obama to go after the people who don’t, is not a surprize to me! It’s difficult to have a democracy when we don’t have the right to choose.
Re the “reverse Bradley effect”: does this mean that no matter how a person votes, it’s related to race?
Regarding studying voting patterns, the primaries bring out the diehards, the general election brings out “everyman.”
I agree. And as I said before, polls aren’t foolproof indicators of outcomes. In this case, really, the only definite answer is the one we’ll all know on November 5.

If you will actually read the story, she ‘avoided’ her foreclosure by PAYING the taxes rather than finding a loophole. Along with ‘penalties and interest’. We also don’t know why she didn’t pay them earlier. Seeing as it was less than 2k in missed taxes (including the ‘penalites and interest’, she could easily have made a mistake filing. What would property taxes per year BE in DC? Looking at what my parents pay for rent over there, they would probably be huge. What % did she fail to pay?
I don’t want to know. It could also be that the taxes were rasied and she didn’t get the notice. Things like that happen.

Yeah, but the Bradley effect can be countered by the Chicago/ACORN effect, where Democrats have multiple votes per person (where “person” also includes those no longer living).

Really! Even Kerry scored a 15-17 pt. bump over President Bush after the Dem convention in ‘04. By that example, Obama should be at least 10-12 pts. ahead of President Elect McCain.
Obama’s present bleep up is due solely to the MSM, which has used the current economic situation to rev-up Americans’ jitters about who is better suited to handle it, and the way they have pilloried Vice President Elect Palin.
If Obama were on the up trend, it would have been seen months ago. I have no doubt that he and Biden are finished and have been since June. The momentum belongs to President McCain and VP Palin.
This sentiment is why I will not put out a McCain-Palin sign in the predominantly black community I live in. I snicker every time I hear on the news how these “socially conservative” blacks can’t seem to control their own children, have multiple out of wedlock births, are continually victimized by their own race, and continue to elect the same unoriginal, liberal mayors who don’t know anything about economic development (think Kwame Kilpatrick). What’s not so funny is that my expensive state and local taxes pay for their mistakes ad complacency.
These thugs will not prevent my free will. I do not need handouts to get along in this world. I will fight back if they dare try.

Dennis Prager last week played back-to-back clips of Obama saying the word “policy” in two different venues. In the O’Reilly interview, he said “pol-i-see.” At his lipstick speech he pronounced it pol-i-seh.
It’s here, on the 9/10 Hour 1 show, about 32 minutes into the program.
