He’d have gotten a factual essay on the fairy tale and terrorist ties of Barack Obama from me.
WHY would Palin refuse to fund rape kits? Here’s your answer.
most of us who are fortunate not to have been the victim of sexual assault hear the word “rape kit”, we tend to think of it specifically in terms of forensic analysis and examination–DNA collection, trauma, that whole sort of thing.
But rape kits also contain…emergency contraception.
Good to see a strong woman doing what’s right
Meet John McCain pushing amnesty again.
Mike Rosen had two students from Metro State College his radio show in Denver here today on 850am KOA. I took the following notes during the show:
The complete audio of hour one of Mike Rosen’s show will be posted here by 3pm EDT today.
I wonder if this professor donated to Barack Obama’s campaign? There must be some way to find out.
i bet he thought no one outside of the classroom would find out, i am glad that the conservative students stood up for themselves. these instructors/professors need to realize that if it is not a poli-sci class you better keep politics out of the classroom.
I dunno what they put in the water in univerisites and colleges anymore. Maybe its the “old hippie” smell that seems to persist up there in the Ivory Towers, or the collectivist mental illness that passes for the norm on campus.
I would have written all about how Barack HUSSEIN Obama isn’t qualified to run the country, and associates with terrorists and other people of bad character.
#2,
What does that comment have to do with this thread?
hey john ansell, stay on topic, yea we got the message, he is not good on amnesty, but do you really think hammering this day after day is going to change anything? cause it is a choice of Obamitler or McCain for President. I have to tell you that I am not so sure that if this guy got elected (obamitler) that we would ever have the opportunity to vote for another president again. he scares me that much. i can sweep aside my disgust over mccain’s immigration stance to make sure this obmatiler does not get elected. sooo stay on topic or as they say stow it.
Is this Hallman dude one of Barack’s 300 advisors? If my hubs went into his place of work and demanded that his employees to support any candidate he would be fired. Why is it this professor, who in an employee of these tuition paying students, able to get away with this crap? Un-freaking-believable.

What else did your masters lie to you about I wonder???
I had many liberal professors. Some were locked into only that mindset, but with a few, using wit and evidence, I was able to get my point of view across and still get along with them. I just had to use sense and figure out which professor was which type.
The ivory tower world leads to this mindset. If you live at Disneyland you start to think that it’s a small world after all..
Holy Smokes! I just realized this dud is supposed to be an ENGLISH teacher! He’s not a poli-sci or history teacher! He’s supposed to be teaching Twain and Chaucer. He should be fired, if for no other reason, for not doing his job!
Let’s see. All the Obama supporters get an “A” in that class. All the McCain/Palin supporters get a “D”.
Hi Andrew, Andrew, this is Everyone! Everyone…. say hello to Andrew!
We’re just here to welcome to your 15 minutes of fame…
(Congratulations!!)

Per my post under the other topic:

What the conservative students should write would be a paper bashing Palin for loving freedom and family. Bash her for being virtuous.
Clearly this guy isn’t qualified to contribue anyting of value to academia, which is one of the primary goals of a college-level professor – not to mention advancing the education of young people.
But I suppose he’s modeling – because he sees that one of the primary goals of Senators is to contribute legislation of value…
Let these people toil in the obscurity they find so painful. Ignore them. The smart students will take care of themsleves. The others will drown in their shallow gene pool.
Misnomer. Contraception prevents conception, doesn’t terminate (y’know, kill).
What is so discouraging is that so few people seem to care. In one way or another this is standard operating procedure in many, likely most colleges and universities across the country. Sometimes it is more subtlety done, of course. One has to wonder: why not just go all out and set up re-education camps and get it over with? Here and there a high-profile case is noticed and dealt with, ever so slowly, but that is about it. The Right in this country remains utterly impotent.
Meanwhile, McCain’s post convention bounce is gone, his candidacy is spinning its wheels, and Obama’s increasingly negative and deceitful tactics appear to be working quite well. The
racecampaign remains too close to call, of course, but recalling the immortal words of Han Solo: “I have a bad feeling about this.”I really hope that when veterans of the Iraq and Afghan wars come home and go to college, they take on scum like this guy. The young students are easily intimidated, but I don’t think a combat-hardened veteran will be such an easy pushover.
If ONE vet would stand up to a “teacher” like this, and do it loudly and publically, it would make a difference. Telling this “teacher” to his face, while in class, that you weren’t paying to hear his tired hippy crap, would be worth its weight in gold on Youtube.
Jeez, I had to go to three different linked stories before I could find what class this idiot was teaching (English by the way, in case nobody else could find it.) What is it with jowhorenalists these days? Can’t any of them write a frickin story anymore?
I had an english treacher like this. I got an A because I just repeated his old tired talking points back to him. People like this are easy to manipulate.
Yet another reason we need to teach our children to think for themselves, don’t count on the “system” to do the teaching for us.
Ok, Maynard–bring out the Gimp.
lol….most of us here in Colorado tend to discount the ravings in Denver/Boulder. Especially in what loosely passes for “higher education” there.
What an ass hat.
I find it fascinating, entertaining, almost being vindicated by the fact, 1 honest, truthful, energetic, family loving, athletic, very attractive, pro-life, religious woman from a small town in far away Alaska, that graduated from a small state college is about to become 1 breathe away from the presidency has the deceitful, hateful, lying, left wing, cretins runnin’ scared and I love it.
McCain/Palin ‘08
Hey… shut your borscht-hole.
rightisright#25, my thoughts exactly.
It took me a long time to figure out how the education system works:
K-12: Beyond the basics, most of what you learn is useless and will change depending on politics or the education system of the future
Undergraduate level: Just rehash the B.S. that the professor is spouting, right back to the professor (or rather the Graduate Assistant who is actually grading your assignment)
Masters level: Research the B.S. that other people have wrote and draw some conclusions from it.
Doctors level: You get to make up your own B.S. and have other people study it (and/or sell it as a textbook to the K-12ers/undergrads)
and in the primaries:
Instructor Andrew Hallam asked students to write an essay to contradict what
heBill Clinton called the ‘fairy tale image ofPalinObama’s win’ presented at theRepublican National ConventionSc primaryies..I’ve had a couple of lib professors, but I have always been lucky in that I could call them on flagrant lib nonsense and my grades did not suffer for it. But no one has ever had the nerve to propose such an assignment to me.
Of course, I was 32 when I started college, and had a brain, life experience, and a really low tolerance for BS. There is no excuse for an instructor injecting his/her personal political opinions into a lecture in which the vast majority of students are still kids and probably afraid to disagree.
What appalling dishonesty.
I wish this moron was an anomaly in academia. *sigh!*
Indeed. Hallam’s ilk are the main reason my son decided to take time off from college, and is seriously thinking about a technical school (he’s math major, leaning toward engineering). But I’ve warned him that he’ll likely encounter the same attitudes no matter where he goes.
A PhD student, who is, most likely, earning his degree on tax-payer money, from a tax-payer supported University.
Is there any doubt that he would oppose Palin? He cannot risk losing his ‘free ride’!
Sad to pay for a college education to be taught by morons.
I do have to say that there are conservatives on campuses – yours truly being one of them. (I’m a part-time instructor and full time mommy.) But we are the ones who keep our mouths shut with regard to this stuff.
I know many of my co-workers’ opinions and therefore – I don’t even want to open up a can of worms. Such discussions would not be productive – and would only serve to separate me from the bunch. I do my job – which is to teach my field (psychology) and do that well. And my only “slips” consist of wearing my cross necklace to class and probably using the terms “fetus” and “baby” interchangeably when I lecture on pre-natal development. Sad that I worry about those things – but even sadder that the lib profs do not worry about their own bolder actions.
Is this what you are looking for?
http://www.fec.gov/finance/disclosure/norindsea.shtml
(Quick answer without much research, no he doesnt seem to have contributed. But there is not a listing for Mr. Squirrel, Rabbid either.)
Other note… if he’s a Ph.D candidate then he is broke-a$$ anyway and is making money on the side as a visiting prof over at Metro State..
Unfortunately, this professor isn’t an isolated case. And if naive parents out there don’t think that liberal school teachers in the public school system aren’t doing the same thing, then they’re not as “involved” in their kids’ lives as they need to be.
And people wonder why our kids are unintelligent and unprepared for the future? They wonder why kids aren’t prepared for college or comport themselves as reasonable, civil human beings?
If you’re going to tell a lie, at least make it a plausible lie that can’t be easily fact-checked.
Of course, if you’re stoned or stupid, you won’t be able to tell the difference anyway.

this is what tenure does for our schools. in lawschool, i had a professor who spent the entire semester of a ucc course asking everyone in a 200 person 1st year class “where are you in space and time” then “give me your impression of what a turkey farm looks like” and this twit drew pictures on the blackboard of those impressions. that was my course in ucc law.
Amazingly, liberals want increasingly large amounts of tax funding going to higher education, and often state colleges and universities, but would see any sort of teaching and performance requirements that would hinder the “academic freedom” (ie, ability to ignore their educational responsibilities in favor of political indoctrination) of professors as “fascist.”
And yet they have no problem either requiring “social justice” programs.
Such hypocrisy.
During the Dem Convention, my teenage daughters class was studying the elections. (During the Rep convention they studied the KKK and racism…hmmm) The class was divided into multiple groups assigned to do one of the 3 parties, (Dems, Rep, Ind) and each group had to do a presention of their candidate. Her group was ‘Independant’ although they researched and were going to present Obama. (The teacher didnt discourage them)
The night before the project was due, I made HER start from scratch and do the whole project AGAIN on her own. Correctly that time. (Alan Keyes – I didnt choose which one)
Tonight I am having her write a short essay on EACH of the 3 branches of government, because she cant seem to remember that pesky 3rd branch called the Executive branch….

And his class is a freshman class. I guess he figures he can bully the new freshmen.
This will no doubt put in in a great light with those that administer his PhD application. UC Berkley will probably give him an honorary doctorate.
How long before this guy is an analyst for MSNBC?
I have never had a prof. go that far, only call Bush Hitler in a discrete way. I walked out of class when he did that.
At the local high school the English teachers show Michael Moore movies to the students…
Welcome to the AnarchoMarxistBolshevik “intelligentsia” that has eaten away the “liberal arts” curricula at every institution in the USA.
Cure? Teach your children to think for themselves and question everything as they grow up. Prepare them to think critically, which is 180 degrees opposite to the “Critical interrogation” taught by these salaried, tenured, emotionally retarded, addictive personalities who call themselves “Teachers”.
Send email to the school and “critically interrogate” this shyster’s approach to teaching. Get the letters placed in his personnel file….two can play this game….two sides to every issue.

This blog also is profanity laced. Wait till the fit hits the shan on that one.
Hey, it’s the moral equivalency troll. Yeah, like “profanity” is something you really care about. You’re also the purveyor of smear from your liberal talking points.
Spare me… do you even knows what goes on in classrooms across America? Or do you just divorce yourself from reality? I’m thinking the later rhetorical question may be applicable.
self-edit: knows= know. Ugghhhh….yes, I am a product of public education.
Being a professor was once conceded a title of honor and respect. Now they are only narrow-minded, with a limited breadth of view. Forty years ago, it would be an embarrassment to teach without free and open discussion.
The difference is thus:
1) This blog is a forums for adults to share ideas, frustrations, et cetera with politics, culture, & cetera. A classroom is a place of learning.
2)No one is forced to read this material. The students are a captive audience.
Personally I try to avoid using profanity. 99 percent of the time, it just makes the speaker look stupid. There is a place for it, however, that place is not by a teacher in front of students.
Personal experience: older sis teaching a grad class in English Literature tells the class to write a comparative paper on Ann Coulter’s writing style versus Molly Ivins style. Told me directly she would fail any student who wrote anything favorable about Coulter. Don’t let anybody fool you–the liberal Dems are the least tolerant of anyone who doesn’t agree with them.
I went to Art school for my degree. As a Republican I learned real quick to keep my mouth shut (I think it was my first week of freshman year). That was the only way to avoid verbal torment not only from my classmates but also the teachers. I’m sure if my teachers knew, I wouldn’t have graduated with a 3.6 GPA.
Hillsdale College is what my daughters and I are looking at. I went to UCLA for undergrad, but that place is too hip deep in moonbats in birkenstocks.
