I get a half-dozen e-mails a day asking me, “Where’s Michelle Obama?”
Well, The Queen of “Downright Mean” has returned.
The target of her grievance-mongering today?
Who else?
Michelle Obama says voters need to decide this election by examining the issues, not because they like a candidate or think “she’s cute.”
Obama spoke in Charlotte on Thursday morning at a women’s round-table on economic issues. The crowd roared at her remark disparaging voters who might cast a ballot because of a woman’s looks, a clear jab at Republican vice presidential pick Sarah Palin.
Obama tried to clarify her remark with a smile, saying she was talking about herself.
The “crowd roared.” Just like it roared when Barack made his lipstick-on-a-pig remark.
Oh, the poor Obamas. Always so woefully misunderstood.
Waiting for McCain and the GOP establishment to come to Michelle Obama’s defense . Sigh.

When candidates feel the need to stoop so low as to redicule, make fun of, or talk down to their opponents - you have a desparate candidate. And, make no mistake about it, Michelle Obama is 1/2 of the ticket. Biden is only there to keep the seat warm. She has officially announced and proclaimed to the world she is running against Sarah Palin.

Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, has made People magazine’s 2008 list of best-dressed women. She was given high marks for a look that was “classic and confident.”
Now that’s cute. I’ll vote for her. Wait! She’s not running for office. Darn it.
Michelle’s bitterness is perfectly understandable. She must be asking herself, “Why is life always so unfair? Why can’t those gun-clinging bible thumpers recognize that Barack and I are the Second Coming of Jack and Jackie and show us the blind devotion we so obviously deserve?”
This woman is apparently cut from exactly the same narcissistic and grandly delusional cloth as is Barack. She is positively green with envy that Sarah Palin has assumed the role of the female lead in the American political drama, a role I’m sure Michelle had envisioned for herself. “Aint’ gonna happen”, and she isn’t too delusional to realize it at some level.
I’ve got some news for her, that scowling visage with which she so often graces our days was never going to pass for Jackie.

MO may have made the best-dressed list, but on her best day she could never hold a candle to Jackie Kennedy. I actually think Cindy McCain comes closer - quiet, reserved, knows she is not the one the public voted and placed in office - she is there to compliment his years in office. Which is not to say that they cannot be successful in their own right. I doubt Cindy McCain will give up handling her business interests, nor her work with charities, she’ll just add those to the list of things to do while they’re in Washington. Cindy can walk and chew gum at the same time. I think multi-tasking is her middle name. With MO, her foot gets in the way of the gum every single time she tries to be clever.

Yesterday the NY Post ran some phoney-baloney story about how Governor Palin was now out splurging on designer clothes. It had a slant to it as if to convey she is not really all down to earth or like those of us on a budget. They did not of course mention the amount of money Mrs. Virgin Baby Momma spent on her clothing for the DNC Convention and how ticked Michelle was when their tax stimulus check only afforded her to buy one pair of $600 earrings!

Its like the old Bugs Bunny cartoon where the bull is chasing Bugs, and, just as the bull is about to catch him, Bugs ducks into the “off limits” zone, yet, when the bull is far enough away, out he comes to taunt, only to run back to the “off limits” zone when the bull gets close (but then the bull picks up the “off limits” zone, and Bugs has to run away again). That’s how I see this whole thing with Michelle Obama: She makes these policy and campaign statements, then, when pundits, columnists, and bloggers come out and debunk her statements, chide her for acting and being stupid, and attack her for her political-speak, she runs and hides behind her husband Barack, who then gets “angry” that his wife is being attacked. If Barack doesn’t want his wife to be “attacked”, he needs to SHUT HER UP, or quit whining (I don’t recall Mrs. McCain or Mr. Palin making any stupid statements in front of the press).
